this is the best podcast i’ve ever listened to. I can’t get my true crime anywhere else because of how amazing Karen and Georgia are - the thorough research and thoughtful analysis is peak. i hoard the episodes and have to fill my time betwixt them with CACA BECAUSE NOTHING COMPARES !!!! actually it does, and i love how supportive they are of other podcasts. The episodes barely focus on true crime anymore. It has basically become a boring history podcast. Selling out to Netflix and already putting in less effort with short solo episodes and live fillers. It’s a shame. This used to be my favorite podcast and now I dread checking to see every Thursday if they’ll ever release a normal episode.

Am I being unreasonable when I say that a podcast titled “My Favorite Murder” should be about murders? Or at least real true-crime? When did this shift to “The Oklahoma Fire of 1832” or the “The Tomato Soup Factory Shutdown” of 1947? Get back to your roots already

Thank you for always being my go to comfort podcast. Karen and Georgia have been the voices to quiet my anxious mind and their advocacy for mental health inspired me to start my healing journey in therapy. Thank you ladies for all you do!

3 minutes of ads at the beginning of every episode. It’s become rigid and corporate and has lost the “personality” of the early seasons of the show. I still listen but it’s not thrilling and fun like it used to be. I don’t even know if these two are still friends.

Was George hammered in this last episode or was it just me?No worries, either way I love it. I love George. I love Karen. These ladies are so wonderful and fabulous.

This is awesome. Yes there is ads but it’s worth it. These stories are great for becoming aware of what’s going on in the world even as a teenager. It’s also a great lullaby for sleeping!

(My initial gripe that isn’t even as bad as the newest) I’m so sad. I have been listening from the beginning and love it. But like many other podcasts now, there seems to more ads than actual podcast. Episode 521 has over 10 minutes of ads at the top of the episode before even starting! Like episodes are made for ad revenue more than the topics themselves. I understand needing to fund a business but it starts to feel like a greedy cash grab at some point. (Update) imagine covering a story about tons of people, including children, dying but focusing on how attractive the neglectful captain is?!? THEN trying to make excuses, covering and hoping he would be redeemed one day?!? He abandoned people when it’s his job to help. I am getting so much whip lash on the hosts morals and maybe they don’t have the empathetic capacity to cover true crime topics. And not sure I am seeing the growth everyone is praising them for. I think after many years I have to step away from MFM and that breaks my heart. Also, while I am liberal and align with the hosts beliefs, it has started to feel really preachy and Karen going out of their way to do so. There are tons of topics today that certainly need addressed and appreciate that! But it’s doesn’t need to be on such a tangent high horse. (Especially after the way they talked about the ships case in ep 524) again total whip lash. Comes off a bit like pandering especially when they are constantly reminding us they don’t even research or write their topics themselves anymore. Like they want to credit for being such great people without the effort. Feels like the show has lost so much honest authenticity.

…get out of the kitchen. Politics and world events are part of all content we consume. If it’s uncomfortable and you don’t want to hear another point of view, don’t be small and leave a bad review, just don’t listen! I appreciate K&G using their platform to speak up- it’s what we need right now.

I used to love this show, even with their political jabs here and there. I can usually ignore that. I don’t mind a difference in opinion and appreciate not everyone aligns with mine… but lately it’s just ridiculous. Can’t even listen to them without hearing how awful I am because I don’t align with their beliefs. Takes the fun right out of listening…

Rarely is true crime covered. All about liberal politics and ads now. The hosts are now pro-criminal. “Team Tonya?” Come on Karen. They’re even promoting a podcast by Alec Baldwin…who shot and KILLED a woman. Are you kidding me??

These girls are really so funny when they aren’t talking politics or Georgia isn’t just making fun of Christians. I love the stories and their silly nature. Karen really is SO funny! Politics and religious opinion use to show up here and there but I do agree lately it’s been ALL the time. Southern, Christian white woman here who doesn’t care to shove my thoughts down anyone’s throat! This show use to be almost a little escape from the political world and now it’s even here. I agree we don’t need to burry our heads in the sand when it comes to the current state of our country but I really just miss the old way of them doing this podcast. Murder and comedy. It’s like most episodes are just laced with how awful people like myself must be because we live down south and believe in Jesus.

I was a huge fan and listening to the podcast weekly but lately it’s a bunch of emotionally driven political rhetoric, which has been a bunch of blanket statements about ICE and Trump and not even a balanced view. It’s also not enjoyable to listen to the live audience episodes and I skip them because it’s a repeat of stories and I can’t follow along with the haphazard conversation.

I couldn’t care less about the political part but they literally NEVER cover any murder anymore!!! Every week I check back to see is there is an actual true crime story but they apparently aren’t even doing that at the live shows. Boring as hell for a long time now

I used to religiously listen to this show and I looked forward to new episodes each week. Emphasis on new. Recently, all it seems they release are recordings from live episodes, even the rewinds are from live shows. This is not new content and I personally can’t stand the sound of a live audience, unless you are in the actual crowd because that is the experience you went for. I understand this is their full time job, but I feel they have derailed from giving the listeners what the want, and are focusing more on how to save a buck and get whatever brand deal is lined up next. The switch to Netflix is one example. I still like to listen, but it is getting aggravating that the content is almost nothing like what it used to be when I began listening years ago. Just my two cents and maybe I’m alone in these feelings. However, it’s Thursday, and they released another live episode which I have to skip, and I wanted to finally voice my thoughts.

Long time listener from the beginning. This show used to be great when it was actually just about true crime. Now it’s turned into blatant shoehorning of politics and ideology down the listeners throat with every cherry picked story and divisive comment. Sad to say goodbye but it’s become to insufferable to continue.

This show has always been political, which you would know if you had actually listened to it and weren’t just making multiple accounts to spam fake reviews

You know who makes politics their entire identity and can’t even regurgitate a story about murder without talking politics and spreading lies? The current democrats and libtards. Which is interesting considering most of the criminals are on the street due to your leftist ideology. Course it’s easy to virtue signal and promote things that you never have to experience in your wealthy, gated and 24 hr security patrolled neighborhoods. It’s only low income, ghettos, and hoods that pay the price for YOUR white privileged policies. if the host and audience you seek are brain dead, unintelligent, delusional, mind numbingly stupid, virtue signaling, rich, elitist, hypocritical, anti women, toxic “feminists”, bad guys, then you have found your cult. The left is where original thought, freedom,independence, truth telling, fact checking, logic and reasoning go to die. The entire world and the majority of it mocks you daily for being so willfully stupid. I’m glad y’all enjoy being the clown.

They regurgitate left ideology with little to no facts about actual crimes. They play on their listeners mental instability by constantly fear mongering and complaining about our administration while telling emotionally charged stories to emotionally manipulate their listeners. They pick and choose the crimes they care about and are extremely bias. If a crime doesn’t match their political ideology they tell it in an extremely bias way or not at all. It’s disrespectful to victims and if you truly care about true crimes then they’d be more objective. Been listening since day one but it seems they are almost paid to push talking points. Very sad.

This is my main podcast, until I get caught up. As a facilitator for a support group sponsored by NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), I greatly appreciate Karen’s and Georgia’s talking about their experiences with therapy and how it’s helped them. The responses they have received show how important talking about personal experiences can be helpful in encouraging others to get help. Thank you both for that work.

White ladies talking about how non-white people are constantly oppressed by white people. Start a network that is filled with other white hosts, oh the hypocrisy.

You guys are so lazy. I’m tired of these reruns. I’m out and I’ve listened since the beginning.

This used to be my first recommendation when asked. Now it’s too political. If I want politics I can turn on the tv. This show went down hill fast.

It always amazes me when podcasts like this get 5 stars. Look, nobody who knows what a quality podcast is wants to listen to you two or any host for that matter bloviate on and on for 20 plus before even getting to the content. Nobody cares about your day or your lives, they came to listen to a murder, give it to them - forthwith.

Day one listener, but I just can’t take it anymore. It’s so boring and repetitive and now so political. We are getting bombarded with politics everywhere. Can you guys please just keep it less divisive? I know you think that you are podcast true crime royalty, but most of us do not listen to hear your opinions on current events. We get it you’re upper-class elitist now but come on - don’t forget who got you there. And if even half your audience doesn’t share your same viewpoints you’re going to go down fast- Go back to your roots when you were funny and humble…. Taking a break check back in six months hopefully you’ve figured it out why people listen to you. ✌️

This show has gotten so political. It’s tough to listen to. I only listen to the mini episodes from now on, even those are getting harder to listen to keep the politics out of it ladies and you might have more listeners 🤷🏻‍♀️

I used to love this podcast and was a regular listener for years until Covid. I’ve always been politically independent and mostly end up voting left. That being said, opening the show with a 30minute rant about vaccines and politics while acting morally superior to your listeners became insufferable. Expect lot of blanket condemnation of anyone who didn’t make the same choices during the pandemic. Now that the Epstein files are out, I hope they focus less on hating Christians and more on hating big pharma billionaires profiting off of the fear of the American people and their demonic baby eating sacrifice rituals. I was hunting for a new podcast as I’m caught up on my usual “go to” ones, hit play and got in the shower. I took an entire shower including washing my hair and shaving and was out before they’d even started the story. Don’t waste your time

If I could give a zero I would. You know women had valid complaints and you chose to believe the aggressor. When your pod grew, I was happy for you. And then I heard how you dealt with claims about one of your former guests, and he even had his own show! Profiting off of the pain of survivors on top of it? This is not feminism. This is two ppl who are too egotistical to realize they are grifting. And maybe stop with the war stories from the 90s, age with some grace you basket cases.

Karen and Georgia and the MFM team got me through the pandemic. Well researched (usually-hehe) and always expertly expressed with humor, kindness, and empathy. Listening to MFM is self care!

These ladies are truly so funny! Love listening on my way to work, and have finally hit 2026 episodes! Keep em coming!

I’ve been listening since the very beginning and was a loyal fan for years. I loved the format, the storytelling, and the chemistry. Unfortunately, since COVID, the tone has shifted in a way that makes it hard to enjoy. I fully respect that everyone is entitled to their political views, but when a significant portion of nearly every episode is spent discussing strong opinions, it starts to feel exhausting and off topic. These two have officially become insufferable. It’s less about disagreement and more about the frequency and delivery. The show used to feel focused and fun, now it often feels annoying and one-sided. It’s disappointing because I genuinely used to look forward to new episodes. There are so many other great true crime podcasts out there that are actually enjoyable and doesn’t push any agendas. I unfortunately no longer support or recommend this podcast.

Someone getting bent out of shape enough to comment how hard it was to listen to about a rewind episode from 2017 is absolutely hilarious. They had to even go through the trouble of “Deleting the podcast” 😂😂😂 How sad for you that you are missing out on these lovely ladies.

Was a day one listener and I don’t want to give them up, but their views are becoming too exclusionary for me. Yes I know their stance on politics and it was tolerable at first, but as an independent voter I’m so tired of the word fascist being thrown around. People can have different views without being a fascist! And no I’m not maga for all the reviews who are disregarding people’s valid criticisms. I also prefer their earlier episodes that focus on murder rather than their more recent murder adjacent episodes.

Well, ok, maybe I picked it up on Episode 2 or 3. Either way, Karen and Georgia (and Steven!) have brightened my Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for a decade or so. I enjoy the spin they give to their stories, and marvel at the kind, caring community K and G have nurtured around the pod. Thank you, MFM team, for your honesty, for advocating for mental health, and for giving voice to under-represented communities. Never change.

All they are doing is outing themselves as MAGAts because those of us who really listen to this show know exactly who K and G are and what they believe. They haven’t hidden that since day 1.
