Absolutely love this show I’ve been listening for a while now and my nana is a paramedic and mom is a CNA on the Ortho floor at children’s mercy and they love listening to this with me the music and it’s not super lighthearted I love that it’s kinda dark and I love the intro where it says “the place we all can’t escape our own body’s” PURE CINEMA I LOVE THISS

Please stop giving listeners ideas on how to be a bully. Your show is great but the ways to bully the follow button just seem inappropriate. I don’t understand it.

This show is incredibly lackluster. It’s just a dude (Mr. Ballen?) reading from a script. Nothing makes this show stand out - no witty commentary; no special details. The stories are generic and minimally researched. I’ve been craving a deep-dive medical mystery podcast for so long. The show “This Podcast Will Kill You” is excellent!! and I love it, but I’d also really love a different kind of medical show that follows cases and explores different hypotheses and possibilities with actual real science and medicine. I heard Mr. Ballen’s ad on the podcast “Crime in Sports” which happens to be a far superior show to any of Mr. B’s productions. I looked around at his other shows and it appears they average about 30 minutes. You can’t accomplish anything in that short a time. I mean, I guess if you need a quicky start-to-finish episode for your ride to work, have at it. But if you want to experience a podcast that puts tons of effort into research and presenting the content in a unique and entertaining way check out these true crime shows: “Crime in Sports”, “Small Town Murder”, & “Timesuck”.

This is just basic fake news. He takes something? And then adds and changes whatever he feels like and slaps an all knowing message at the end that were all supposed to be amazed over or aghast but lesson learned. EXCEPT it’s manipulated fake info. But hey stay for him to stretch the story out even farther with his descriptions of he walked to the door, she looked at the dog and walked to the door, and his explanations of words like psychological. Psst, it means in the mind! Wow, mind blown! Thanks Mr. Ballen!

This podcast is extremely good, the detail and the wording are incredible and the story’s are super captivating. For a true crime lover i recommend this and just doing anything you can listen to Medical Mysteries. It’s an intriguing podcast which covers a lot, and he works really hard posting twice a week on his true crime and once on here. If you know how Long it takes to record one then if your complaining take your head out of your a✨ss . I love Mr Ballen and his content is amazing, highly suggest it for all viewers!

I am riveted by these stories of human resilience and brilliance. I’m glad I found this podcast! Narrator always pronounces “a” and “the” with long vowels (instead of “uh” and “thuh) and that gives me a slight cringe, but that’s probably just me.

I have been listening to this since it came out - I can’t stop! But with the early access episodes, it’s like I can’t wait. I also listen to your other podcast, strange dark and mysterious. I quit it tho cuz it’s same old. But this podcast always has unique and interesting stories. Love it!

Serious technical issues with the sound.

I love this medical series especially. I like the story telling style and the uniqueness of the cases, presented as medical mysteries. It's fun to see if I can figure out what the medical illness is before you give it up at the end. Of course this last episode about the guy with Leptospirosis is going to make the xenophobes foam at the mouth and call a former Navy Seal "radical leftist and too woke." But I appreciated it at any rate and thought it was nice to share his story. Looking forward to more medical mysteries!

I really loved this show, but feel that I can no longer listen after the newest episode flagrantly ripped off the 2015 Radiolab episode “Unraveling Bolero”; the MrBallen team didn’t even bother to change the title of the story! They should have at least changed the title and credited Radiolab. I’m so disappointed by this ethical breach. Unsubscribing to both MrBallen podcasts. 😕

I first started listening to your true crime podcast from ATWWD and then I found this gem. I work for a hospital so these medical mysteries are so fascinating to me . I love how you tell these stories. And I love that you tell them with compassion for the people involved. Especially the episode with the Spanish people working in the pig slaughter house. I love how you told Their story with kindness. Especially now since we have a moron in the office that is destroying our country and is spreading chaos , lies and racism against our Spanish community. Keep up the good work!

Don’t know why it is a true crime definitely but still a great podcast

My friends and family all love this podcast and the strange dark and mysterious one, we all listen to it. I love listening to Mr. Ballen podcasts on roadtrips, falling asleep, and just relaxing. The person that reads these has a voice making the story more interesting and intriguing. Great review from me!

The stories are good, but they are told from the perspective of someone very far-left/socialist, so listen at your discretion

Just because your other podcast is based on true crime stories, it doesn’t mean that this one is. And stop posting this shows episodes in your more successful podcast feeds. If we wanted to hear these stories we’d just come here. You really ruined a great thing.
