I used to really love this show until I research one story because it was in my home town. Doing so I found how he chooses to change the stories for his own gain so much he leaves the actual killer out of it. Totally ridiculous and disappointing. I can understand changing it a little to make it more interesting but leaving out the real killer is just dishonest for his own gain. That is not true crime. That is fiction.

It feels like Mr.Ballen became a sellout. Crazy amount of commercials and even though now he has like 10 producers that shows feel like he just mails it in

I love the stories and while The quality has gone down some and some of the stories are not as good, I feel like that’s the publisher’s fault not the team’s. I also found a comment hating on him for “speaking at a 6th grade level” but that doesn’t really matter, it helps people new or not so good at English to understand which I find very thoughtful.

I love it but there’s way to many adds like 5 minutes long I’m not trying to be a hater and he dose a good but it’s ridiculous how many adds and how long they are also the podcast exclusive episodes there also on the yt channel under a different name

Guys. The ads have gotten out of hand, just way way too much. One or two per episode. I really just don’t go for Ballen anymore because they’re every 5-7 minutes now.

No one else seems to notice that PODCAST EXCLUSIVE episodes are being uploaded to YouTube on almost the same schedule under different titles. I couldn’t care less that you’re uploading to both platforms, it’s just BS that you’re not honest about it. Remove the words “podcast exclusive” from your podcast episodes that say it. I’m sick and tired of seeing a “new” episode loaded to YouTube, only to say “yeah I just heard this one.”

Entertaining content but — if you look up the stories he tells—the stories are not always accurate as he tells them. I miss the ad-free episodes on Amazon Prime. Sirius is a big nope.

I listen to game theory and this and I guess the murderer is every time PS Bravo wolf not every thing is about politics 3 whole stars because he was sponsored by trump's friend PPS Gfxoxrsitffk I am not hating on you we chill👍

The quality of each episode has unfortunately decreased significantly since it changed platforms. The editing is not as thorough. The stories are more random and not as captivating. Bummer.

At first I really loved binging a lot of the episodes and catching up to current time, but now the amount of “fan favorite” repeats is killer. There is no need to release the same case again with no edits or updates. I feel like the quality of episodes/cases has gone down with the high quantity of content being put out. It’s been said, but to reiterate: quantity does NOT equal quality.

Ay this is just w and I just never know who is the killer or assaulter cuz yes. But if you criticize this you are so mean

Love this podcast but I’d rather have less episodes a week then these filler repeat “fan favorites”. It seems to be more and more lately. Quality > Quantity. Despite the repeats it’s still a great pod and he is a very good story teller!

While the delivery and writing have never been great, the show used to cover some interesting true crime stories. Yet it seems the show has devolved into just detailing different ways people have died.

The stories are so bad, and the host speaks at a 6th grade level. I don’t understand why people like this absolute garbage.

Used to love this podcast. But my god, the pacing of the storytelling has become excruciating. Probably due to lack of content, but the narrative just drags on and is repetitive to fill the time.

I truly love his stories I often have no idea who the killer is or what happened buuuuut sometimes the stories get obvious and messy but I couldn’t do any better so not much criticism 5 stars

Great storytelling I been watching his videos on youtube I watch and watch it seems I can not get enough my mom also likes listening to him he has a great storytelling voice his hand movements are also helps bring out the story

I love this podcast. It squarely is on my “never miss” podcast list, so I just wanna be clear that the format of the show and the stories are always great, but the move to Sirius has really sucked. There’s definitely more “fan favorites” a.k.a. just repeats of old content and the move also killed off several of his other shows, which are still owned by Wondery. Not to mention the fact that if I want these without the annoying ads, I now also have to pay for Sirius and because of Mr. Ballen I had fallen in love with Wondery content so now I have two subscriptions I have to pay for when I was getting everything I wanted from Wondery. So all in all, I love this podcast and I hope he’s enjoying his bag because I sure hate that he’s on Sirius now.

The stories are very entertaining! Disappointing that he is advertising for Amazon.

I love the storytelling format. A lot of these I'm unfamiliar with, as a true crime enthusiast. The one thing that bothers me is that I'm unsure who the target audience, as he has to explain simple words like "IQ", "organ" and "thesis".
