Overall review
Love this podcast! Love the different topics you discuss and guests who come on with their research and information. Each episode really stretches your brain and offers topics to make you go deep in your own beliefs and perspectives! Keep up the great work! One of my favorite podcasts!!

Breaking down the Breakdown
I appreciate the varied topics and guests. There’s science and mental health for those that “might need help if…” there’s metaphysical and “hippy dippy” for the seekers. Listening to you I feel like we’d be friends irl. Only adjustment is balancing sound mix. You both are doing a tremendous job getting these topics and resources out there! Keep it up! Thank you for everything you do.

Conspiracy
You lost me when you brought on a conspiracy theory about climate change.

Excellent show
Still loving the MBB podcast! Keep up the great work!

Holly
I really enjoyed the interview of Holly! She should be very proud how she navigated and created a nice life for herself after that crazy lifestyle, most don’t and even fall back into predatory situations.

Excellent Topics! But…
I really love the metaphysical (NDE’s, CRV, telepathy, etc) topics Mayim has been tackling lately & all the fantastic experts she interviews. This alone is why I have recently began listening. And have been hooked! However…. many, many times the audio of the guest is SO LOW that I have to jack up the volume to hear them. And the second they’re done speaking & Mayim & Jonathan speak it is SO LOUD it blows my eardrums out! I hope they get that worked out soon. Other than that, love the guest & content!

A new kind of excellent
This podcast is so multi layered and multidisciplinary, which really works for me… I am enduring excruciating grief at this time as I am breathing for my soulmate as well as myself … and every little bit of support help helps… I am finding it to be excellent in ways that I didn’t know you could find excellence. Thanks for the work.! I wanted to ask a question but I couldn’t find the “ask Mayim”

Like the pod and guests but…
Enjoy the guests and pod. Thought Mayim was smart but then after being a non vaccinator decides to inject her kids with (of all things) a dangerous — and useless — Rona “vaccine”? Not too bright! Ps: Trump !!

Best Discussions
This remains one of my favorite podcasts, and I listen while working on my doctoral capstone. It’s the perfect blend of logical discourse and metaphysical inquiry. The interview bookings are terrific and the discussion topics smart and thought-provoking. Every episode plays out as a prospectus with substantive inference encouraging further inquiry. A show with intelligent purpose.

This pod got weird
I really liked this podcast when the topics were more science and mental health based. Now it seems a bit kooky and continues to delve weirder and weirder.

Used to be a go to. Too biased/liberal now.
I’m so bummed that my childhood crush has migrated so far left with her content. Breaks my heart to have to move on but it is what it is.

When did this become a political podcast?
It’s everywhere, I don’t need Mayim’s “break it down” podcast to become yet another political podcast. Is it advertised as such? No. Yet is political tribulations and political propaganda almost EVERY episode? Yes. Unsubscribing

One Point
One point: if I’m not mistaken, Trump wants illegal immigrants who did not come into this country properly to leave. They can come back if they do so following laws. I’m trying to be fair here. To say that he wants all immigrants out it’s just completely false. Again, I’m trying to be fair. I’m not on “one side” or “on the other side”. The continued mischaracterization of this is doing everybody a disservice.

Mic levels fluctuate
I really like this podcast. But I do find myself reaching for the volume control to compensate for the inconsistencies in mic levels. Sometimes one person's mic will be consistently louder or quieter than the other mics. Other times a mic will occasionally get much louder because the speaker moved in closer, or they raised their voice to emphasize a point. I know that too much compression and limiting can result in ear fatigue for the listener, but I think a little more of that could be beneficial here. That and a bit more attention in the mixing. That said, keep up the good work!

Harvard Insider Episode
I really enjoyed this episode and found it enlightening and educational. Would you ever consider doing an episode on the United Nations and their stance against Israel after Israel was attacked? I would like to understand why that is occurring. It’s hard to filter the truth on the internet.

Interesting beyond
Love love this podcast! Thank you for your interesting discussions and guests that spark something in me.

love it
the show is great…thanks Mayim & Jonathan. *Errrbody* needs to listen to the May 23 episode with relationship expert, Britta Jo. It is a set of golden insights for anyone interested in some real talk about healthy relationships with ourselves and with others. Not just for folks who identify as female with marriages on the brink…not at all. Will definitely check out Britta’s content starting with her podcast on complex PTSD. I can’t wait to hear what blew Mayim away... thanks for a great podcast!

You are AMAZING!!
Mayim, I LOVE you!!! I just started listening because I wanted to hear what’s on your mind! Your topics are right up my alley. And it feels like I’m listening to a patient friend explaining hard topics. You are so genuine and kind! 🥰

You’re awesome
I really enjoy the podcast! You combine science and spirituality in a really fun way! :)

Hypocrite
I used to really like Mayim but once Oct. 7th happened, her true colors came out. How can someone who talks about past traumas and how they can affect ones mental health, be so supportive of bombing and killing innocent children in Gaza?? How? Because she was brainwashed by Zionist propaganda. Shame on Mayim! Can't take her or her podcast seriously anymore

I love it
This podcast is informative and helpful. I have learned so much since tuning in weekly! Great topics and guest speakers.

Descending into quackery
Sadly the quality of guests she can attract is really bottoming out at this point & there are definitely some concerning faces popping up at her table imo (disgraced journalist Johan Hari?) It’s a shame

It’s not about you.
Your political opinion is not important.

Sound engineer
I enjoy this podcast, but PLEASE have a sound engineer fix your sound levels - they swing between barely discernible and too loud - very frustrating to listen to some episodes.

My favorite Podcast!!!
Each episode is worth a listen!! Love this show so much. Can’t get enough of it. It reminds me of Oprah’s Super Soul Sunday. It’s so thoughtful and expansive .

I have been listening since episode 1, and this podcast has never had a bad episode. If you haven’t listened yet you are doing yourself a disservice.

I just read the funniest poem about you on SUBSTACK. It started, "I will not like Mayim Bialik..." Pretty spot-on!

My favorite listen every week!
Mayim Bialik’s Breakdown has been on my playlist since the pandemic. I love her health and wellness guests and have also enjoyed the trips to the paranormal and the exploration of spirituality. I love the banter between Maya and Jonathan and I really appreciate this podcast. I typically don’t leave reviews for podcast and I was compelled to leave one for this one. Thanks Mayim! Love you!!

Fascinating
I enjoy this podcast so much. This is the podcast I share the most with friends. It’s a serious show about how the mind works and different ways to access the mind’s ability to heal and beyond.

Loving this pod!
I really enjoy listening to the different guests and LOVE learning stuff. It’s hard to find a good podcast with someone of the tribe lol! The chemistry between hosts is lovely.

Hormone replacement therapy - for everyone?
The recent show with Dr. Mary Claire Haver presents HRT as the miracle treatment everyone should try… indeed, I learned all about the wonderful pros - but what about the cons? I’m thinking about all the women who have been told this treatment is too risky - for example, because they have a genetic predisposition to blood clots. I found the episdode to be lacking nuanced, complete, useful information for those of us who have been told we are not candidates for HRT.

Educational !
I LOVE you Mayim! You are such a good influence to the world ❤️. I’ve never missed an episode. I work in a warehouse that requires little interaction with others, so I’m a big podcast listener. I am a very slow learner, I don’t have an education past high school. The best thing about my job is that, I get to listen to lots of podcasts for 10 hrs straight- 4 days a week. You are one of the many I have learned so much from and I am so thankful to have that access for free, as I do not make a lot of money. Please try to bring on gut health professionals, James & Dahlia Marin from -married to health- please! Would be so much fun for you to interview them bc I know you are a vegan who cares about gut health just like me. Would be so great for you to help them spread their knowledge! Also please try to bring on Chelsea Devantez from Glamorous Trash podcast. If you don’t already know, it’s a Celebrity Memoir Podcast where she covers a different female celeb memoir each episode. I know you are a feminist and care about trauma and whatnot so I think it would make an incredible interview. Chelsea also has her own memoir out. I know you like memoirs too bc you’ve interviewed celebs about their own memoirs. Which by the way, where is your memoir Mayim ?!?!?!

Listen, Learn, Love.
Unlike other podcasts, this one is not cursory. She actually “breaks it down” in a thorough manner, where you’re not only entertained, stimulated, and learning; but you walk away with knowledge that can be further explored.

Awesome show
Thanks for being an advocate for women and discuss many issues such as menopause. Really appreciate it.

I Actually Like It
My favorite thing is how eager they are to just toss in words that don't make sense but sound smart... like, "having good sex is great because um... something, something uh... neural pathways?"

My favorite podcast
As an adult, this has been my favorite podcast. I love listening to it on my runs, walks, drives, long trips… sometimes I allow myself the luxury of listening to this podcast while cleaning! I love this podcast so much- Mayim and Jonathan have taught me so much and have very similar science based and yet spiritual beliefs as I do. It’s so fun building upon what I know and combining it with what they and their guests know. Love hearing their stories. Miss Mayim’s mom!

What happened?
Absolutely love this open minded informative show. Huge Mayim fan, but this latest episode about bird flu, why did Mayim seem so defensive/annoyed? I almost felt uncomfortable for their guest, who was very lovely, seemed like Mayim really disliked her or the info lol I don’t know what happened? Other than that, love all the shows so far.

Love it!
Where has this podcast been all of my life! I LOVE the combo of spirituality and science. So good. So informative. I look forward to seeing what each week’s topic will be.

Disappointed
I have listened to and enjoyed your podcast many times. In listening to the episode with Mary Claire Haver. I was disappointed to hear you disparage Kaiser Permanente. As a Kaiser patient, I have many fine doctors they deserve better than your offhanded comment about your subpar hair because your dad was a public school teacher. Do better.

Mayim interrupts too much
I wanted to listen to the menopause excerpt but felt the list was cutting her off mid sentence too many times so I stopped listening out of annoyance. Stop interrupting. Ask thoughtful questions and don’t volunteer the data your guest hosts are there to share, like a know-it-all. We want to listen to guests, not hosts.

Love it!
One of the best pod casts in my opinion. Wide range of topics and interviews. Super emotionally intelligent conversations, plenty of scientific knowledge as well. Great place to learn.

Woo Woo
Was excited about this podcast but it ultimately is a light-touch approach to most topics. Filled with magical thinking and woo-woo astrological jibber jabber. Crazy mental acrobatics to squeeze it all into a “scientific” framework.

Easily one of my favorite podcasts
I absolutely love listening to Mayim and Jonathan converse with their guests. They are thoughtful, funny, open-minded, and curious which is the perfect combo for my ears. The guests - especially lately - have been so interesting and thought provoking. The talk with Martha Beck was incredible, as was Mel Robbins.

Absolute game changer
This past episode with Mel Robbins was ABSOLUTELY one of the best I have listened to. The conversation was so much more than just Mel talking about her book. I am now realizing these past two years of therapy have been teaching me the “Let Them” theory. This podcast broke it down into easy understandable applications. I was almost in tears the last 15 minutes as you discussed staying a bad relationship or letting go of control with our children. That was MY life. And learning to Let Them ( as young adults is so so so hard) is slowly changing our relationship for the better. And I hope are tools they will learn now so they can parent with them one day. This is one o will be thinking on for awhile because the nuggets of wisdom are so so good. Thank you Thank You Thank you for this episode

Love your podcast
I'm a fan of Lisa Miller. It's especially nice to hear after you've also interviewed Jill Bolte Taylor. But I love all your episodes. I enjoy the differing points of view of Mayim and Jonathan. Love you guys.
