Have been listening since it started. Love Kathleen but Paddles is talking and interrupting too much. I hope they fix it soon.

One of the reasons I loved the podcast was that Kathleen’s thoughts were the focus. I liked Paddles in the background as a ‘soft’ peanut gallery who is good at prompting Kathleen to fill in any gaps. I hope the Bob calls r just a phase. It’s the stories about Bob (and others) that are entertaining.

Consistently delivers! I love the clear respect for America’s Heartland. I worry, though, that she’s not making any money. I could endure a few ads — maybe at the end? That would still be better than almost any other podcast and I could turn it off without missing any of the golden Irish tongue, or listen to final ads out of gratitude for an uninterrupted hour plus of solid entertainment

I’ve been a fan of her comedy and Kathleen’s podcast since day one. It’s a blast to listen to every week and I look forward to them coming.

It is increasingly difficult to not shout at my tablet for Paddles to be quiet - for someone who doesn’t want to be present on camera, she has increasingly ingratiated herself to be across the desk of the ‘Star’ and has become more pompous, patronizing, exaggerated, and overbearing

Working on hearing all 256 podcasts. From what I am hearing, I love her. Genuine, kind, witty. Not sure how many I’ve heard so far. You keep making them…I’ll keep listening!

I have been a fan and dedicated listener since the inception of this pubcast. Paddles, I love you and I’m happy you got a microphone, but please stop interrupting Kathleen and inserting your own 1 liners. It’s chaotic and gets the show off topic so often it’s getting frustrating to listen to this podcast. Again, coming from a fan who loves you both but is here to listen to Kathleen’s jokes.

I’m 37 and I’ve been watching Kathleen’s standup forever and I was watching tom papas podcast and found out she has a podcast absolutely love it so much just wish it was more than once a week

I love Kathleen Madigan’s comedy. However, this podcast is just sloppy. Whoever is in the background laughing and commenting needs to go. It’s extremely annoying and takes away from Kathleen’s commentary. Either have a good cohost ‘foil’ sitting next to you or go solo.

Been listening to this podcast for about a year . It is so much fun and frequently informative . I love to hear about life on the road and of course her family . Always look forward to Wednesday.

Very happy to find her. The best medicine is laughter, ask me I a retired nurse. Yes ! Better to laugh than cry! I’m letting my nursing friends know! Boy, could I tell you wild stories about nurses and doctors . You wouldn’t believe the stuff that goes on in a hospital!!

I agree with the other reviewers. Whoever that lady is laughing all the time give her a microphone. It’s annoying to listen to her as it sounds like she’s talking in a tunnel. I don’t mind the slurping and munching as much but I know a lot of people do.

I love listening to you Kathleen, but for the love of all that is good and holy please give your ‘cohost’ a microphone?! I cannot tell you how difficult it is to hear what sounds like someone yelling from the other room with about half of what is said being audible. Pretty please?

I find straining to hear who she’s talking to annoying. Mic her up already! I enjoyed it but had to stop listening.

For the love of God, please stop chewing into the mic!! I would rate a 5 otherwise, so I’m hoping that this review is read and acknowledged so I can change the review. I can’t give any higher as the chewing in the mic is that maddening and makes that portion of the show literally unlistenable.

Absolutely fantastic stuff! I never miss an episode and end up listening to episodes multiple times to make sure I don’t miss any of the interesting stories Kathleen comes up with every week. And she does this for us for no money! She’s a saint and we’re so lucky to have her:) go ahead munch as loud as you want in those snacks and talk sports if you want- it’s all good if you and Paddle are there lol

I love Catherine‘s comedy and think she is witty and hilarious. I’m of her generation and can relate to a lot of the things she talks about. My only criticism is the first five minutes of each episode where she eats snacks sent in by listeners. The crunching chewing and slurping on microphone drives me nuts. Just skip that part and enjoy the rest of the podcast.

I’ve always loved Kathleen Madigan but didn’t know about her podcast until recently. I’m catching up listening to oldest first. I’m always laughing out loud in public all by myself, getting odd looks. I think I’m swearing a bit more since listening. I only wish I could afford the pricey tickets in Seattle to see her in person. Informative and funny!

Kathleen has a way to make all of us feel like we are good friends just hanging out and talking. I love her podcast and appreciate no commercials (but I understand if she starts) podcast/ pubtcasts cost money.

I love Kathleen’s random subject matter and her ability to make fun of absolutely everything. We all need a little Kathleen sunshine now and then. She is also amazing to see live too.

When Covid first hit, they didn’t let people in crowded, live theaters, so thankfully I wandered into Madigan’s Pubcast. Love the “life on the road” stories, the current event stuff that’s so heavy, but Madigan comes outta left field and gives us a break. She just a damned funny comedian! Never goes preachy, and always heads for fun, bizarre topics. Laughing and smiling are good for you. Listen to this one! Update: Kathleen, you called these unfortunate people with Encephalitis Water Heads and still seem to think that’s kinda funny? Huh. Not good, or comical.

I look forward to hearing from Kathleen every week. She has created a platform for her journalism skills. She has consistently shared her often hilarious and spot on reactions to print and video items provided by her research assistants. I like hearing the laughter and muted comments of her technicians and I’m sure it helps Kathleen. They are doing the work of the Lord.

EDIT: Now Paddles has added the loudest clap she possibly can. I used to be the odd termite out on this one but guys….it’s so bad. It’s almost like Jody reads the comments and has decided to scrape her nails down the chalkboard in response. I love Kathleen. I’ve been a termite before the term was coined. Paddles’ laugh is so goddamn annoying. JC. It really makes it hard to enjoy the pubcast and it’s FANTASTIC but she ruins it with the obnoxiously LOUD, incessant laughter. It overshadows Kathleen and it’s absolutely ridiculous. I have to give 5 stars to Kathleen but if I had to consider Paddles too it’d be a 2. That’s how distracting it is. I look forward to this every week…and I dread Paddles ruining it every week.. 😭

Hysterically funny! A bit educational, not political, healthy attitude and good vibes! What more could you want? Try one show and you’ll be hooked. I ended up going back to listen to all of them from the beginning.

I’ve loved Kathleen as a comedian for many years. I was ecstatic to find her Pubcast during Covid. She is hilarious, super smart and has a common sense approach to things that go on in the world. Listen to her show! You will laugh a lot and learn just as much about what’s going on!

Content is so good and as always Kathleen Madigan delivers, but please, please the background laughter and sound is so distracting I can’t listen for any length of time, it’s so distracting and annoying.

Kathleen is my absolute favorite comedian! My ears just really don’t like Paddle’s maniacal laughter, I’m so sorry! I’m trying so so hard to just get over it because I love Kathleen so much! Nothing personal Paddles, I promise!

A fan for decades, I was thrilled to find Kathleen’s podcast. I listen daily to old episodes….feel as though I’m in a social studies class with a great teacher. Kathleen Madigan is a hilarious comedian and has made an almost great podcast series. As a recovered Catholic, I have often related to and laughed with her brand of comedy for years. However, no one has ever laughed as much as Paddles, the Ed McMahon of the show, who finds every word from Kathleen uproariously zany. Unlike other audible show partners like Robin Quivers, Paddles’ interruptions disrupt Madigan’s comfortable demeanor. Honestly, the sidekick is worse than a sitcom laugh track; almost enough to dismiss the show completely.

Just saw her live in ft Myers. She was excellent!!!

Kathleen puts fun in the day. I don’t drink, but love to hear her snack and drink review. Like hearing the Mormon jokes, gotta laugh at the mirror it helps me understand my own beliefs.
