Thank you for putting into perspective how hard this work is of healing and how important it is. I’ve been fading in my hope and healing. It’s been two years since the D-Days and I’ve wondered why am I still here and still trying. This is so hard. You both put wind in my sails to continue to heal by working and why I’m staying. I’ve been following the Lentz’ journey for years now and I am loving this podcast, their vulnerability and hearing honest conversations that need to be had everywhere, but especially within the Church. I really love that this podcast isn’t a cookie-cutter Christian one, but one is that is raw, real and truly GOES there on many topics.

Man, I really appreciate this podcast. Like many, I became aware of the Lentz family through a documentary but I remember praying that in the end, they made it work. Then I became aware of this podcast and have listened since. In brief, I come from a broken home. 8 stepdads, drugs/alcoholics rampant in my family, abuse in various manners I saw from an early age, several close people I lost to suicide, ran with gang bangers, etc. Then was saved at 17 and followed the straight and narrow (or have tried) since then. First gen student that ended up getting his PhD in Nutrition but only made it this far because of wisdom shared to me by others, like through this podcast. My wife and I have now been together 15 years and I’ve learned so much about how to navigate topics/discussions or obstacles through this podcast. Before, much of my behavior was only what I had observed though my parents broken marriages (not good to say the least). Glad to have a podcast like this that can turn the light on for me and be a guiding light. Excellent stuff

I have followed Carl through his journey of life. I appreciate his humility and ability to bring light to his dark places that all of us truly face in our own way. That’s a true leader. Honesty. Admittedly, I wasn’t really a fan of Carl before this podcast, and I came to it with some healthy skepticism. Over and over again since, Carl and Laura have blown me away with their vulnerability and willingness to bring the *real*. Each and every episode challenges me and inspires me to engage deeper into journey towards who God is constantly calling out of me. I cannot recommend this podcast more highly, come here for a big dose of inspiration and encouragement as we all work through our stuff together.

This podcast has been nothing short of life-changing for me. Although my husband and I haven’t walked through the pain of infidelity, the wisdom shared in these episodes has PROFOUNDLY impacted my life. Carl once said, “You don’t have to wait for a fire to fireproof your home,” and WOW—has that resonated with me! As a mother, I’m learning invaluable tools about parenting, addiction, relationships, intimacy and faith. Carl and Laura, your vulnerability, honesty, and wisdom are truly changing lives. Your Q&A’s have helped me through so many struggles and questions I’ve had in my life. Because of this podcast, my relationship with Jesus has deepened in ways I never expected. I was very skeptical of Carl Lentz at first, but hesitantly listened on a friend’s recommendation. I was blown away by the authenticity, vulnerability and rawness. You can see and feel the evidence of a changed and changing man. Every episode brings me closer to God and more bravery to work on myself.

As someone that is going through the exact same situation right now, this has been a beacon of hope for us. I remember Carl speaking at our church years ago and have been moved by his transformational story and God’s redeeming love and how only God can forgive, restore and put back beyond what we ever can think or imagine. My husband and I are also living proof of what man meant for evil, but. God. He turns it around for our good but his glory. Carl and Laura ‘s story is beautiful, and impactful and brings hope, encouragement, and forgiveness for broken marriages. Broken people is who God uses best. Sincerely been enjoying this show. I love the vulnerability of the Lentz family and their redemption story through God. I love guests who are seeking the gospel truth and would recommend this show stick to pastors and licensed counselors. The episode with Charlemagne, while interesting, as a Christian I thought was incredibly damaging to the trajectory of the show. This man is clearly searching outside of God (ie iowaska) and to bring him on in the manner as a position of authority will send all kinds of mixed messages to those who are not well versed in the word. PLEASE consider your guests more carefully. Otherwise, loving the podcast!

You can see how good God is in the lives of these incredible humans. They have so much wisdom from the experiences of their lives. They are open, transparent and raw so we can clearly get look at their lives and you will 100% walk away with some aort of wisdom that will change your life!!!!

I absolutely love this podcast and truly appreciate it. It’s been so healing in so many ways. The only thing that is a bit frustrating is Carl needs to be more mindful when it comes to Laura speaking. He often acknowledges that we want to hear more from her but then we still mostly hear from him and often cutting her off when she is speaking. Other than that super appreciative for this podcast.

God uses everything. He is so evident in the lives of Carl and Laura. This podcast makes you feel like you are in the car talking to carl and laura on the phone or sitting across from them in a living room. Thankful for their yes to this podcast. Every week I am blown away by two things I feel this podcast does well : sharing and demonstrating the incredible power of the grace of God and how radical ownership is a sign of a mature believer. I have been so blessed by the vulnerability and honesty of this podcast. I am seeing grace on display and I think maybe for the first time in my life I finally understand what it looks like. What a beautiful story of restoration. It’s authentic, it’s real, it’s UNAPOLOGETIC. It’s so needed right now in this cultural moment. It’s God-honoring. And most importantly, it’s helping people. This is personal. This is real. You ARE helping people. So keep going, and forget those who are hating. They don’t get it, and this isn’t for them.

This podcast and the vulnerability to share y’all’s story is helping me, and I know countless others. Brings tears to my eyes as I empathize with the journey and growing up in church community that doesn’t address these topics well, if at all. The idea that we are a whole being- God created us with physical, spiritual, emotional, social needs and all have to be addressed not just the spiritual. Beauty from ashes is the story here and the gift of others who can help, a willingness not to give up and God being there through it all. This podcast should be a required class before anyone works in a church or works in recovery. Working in the church and the way we dealt with people’s real life shortcomings, left me with unresolved relational trauma that I didn’t know how to navigate which manifested itself later into my own personal addiction. This Podcast is covering every part of a healing journey. Personal, Spiritual, Relational, and Mental health recovery. I’m so blessed by Carl and Laura’s story of resilience! Incredible podcast! This podcast is a breath of fresh air for Christ followers who have walked through infidelity. This show is full of hope and healing to hearts who have been shattered by betrayal trauma. This was a firehouse of years of therapy in each session. Highly recommend!!!

This is a real podcast! Laura and Carl are telling their story with transparency and heart; it’s a refreshing perspective.

I’m very interested in Carl and Laura’s story, and admire their commitment to each other, their family, and their faith. One request: Please boost the audio on the podcast. It’s super hard to hear in any space that isn’t super quiet.

So beautiful to see how God can bring true restoration to an entire family when people chose to stop hiding. As a pastor’s kid, this gives me so much hope.

Anyone who has made massive mistakes and sinned greatly will be convicted and encouraged by this podcast. Laura shows tremendous bravery, of course, but so does Carl. He still has a touch of “celebrity pastor” in his style of delivery, and it took me a while to get used to it without feeling cynical. But that’s my fault as a listener, not his fault as a speaker. I was a pastor’s kid and also worked in ministry for a long time, and I grew weary of the circus shows at many churches. So, like many, I made assumptions. I felt deeply convicted listening to him describe the rawness of their season together, and convicted by listening to Laura fight to articulate her pain. Most importantly, her choice to not condemn him is a remarkable glimpse into the heart of Jesus, and the way forward for helping men overcome these battles. Shame and condemnation will never work, and Carl and Laura seem to be living proof of what does work: mercy and grace—especially when it’s undeserved. It made me deeply contemplate my own sin and those I have hurt. Very refreshing to hear and see the fruit of God’s grace. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Too many people are tuning into this without being more aware of the attempt to capitalize and profit off Trauma and this podcasts early success is a perfect example of how shallow human beings are in their desperation to know the “tea”

The vulnerability shown in the first few episodes is rare to find in culture. I appreciate the honesty and willingness to be laid bare to anyone who will listen. Episode 3 with the children feels a little forced and awkward, but I would recommend the first 2 episodes to anyone needing to hear stories of hope for their marriage. The audio quality is also really poor which keeps this from being a 5 star.

When i started my journey with god you inspired me and help me have that relationship and applied to my life and now with what you went tru and coming up still inspiring me and even tough we had different life's i did also made mistakes that and cost me loosing my job recently not my marriage but i had this feelings and the need to recognize my mistakes,responsablities,etc. God bless you brother your beautiful family and thank you for your transparency and for what are you doing is helping me and am sure others facing dificultes on their life's .
