The best podcast ever!
I absolutely LOVE listening to Jimmy Akin’s Mysterious World, it is about the only podcast I actually like to listen to. I love how you base things off of faith and reason, that way i can get two different perspectives of the topic. I also enjoy how you discuss what you think of the topic it gives a personal bias and how others might think of the topic as well. You’re doing a phenomenal job, and i absolutely love your podcast!

The best podcast to listen to while cleaning and doing chores
This is an amazing show to listen to every Friday as a Christian. I enjoy Jimmy Aikens perspective on both faith and reason keep up the great work.

Podcast
While Jimmy does a remarkable job of providing many objective explanations to complicated spiritual topics, he is also readily dismissive of climate change.
Even if he disagrees with the validity of climate change, Jimmy should objectively discuss both sides of the issue, as he does with his other topics.

The best podcast for the curious
A great way to learn about the unusual from a Christian point of view without all the extreme bias we see in media today.

Used to Love This Podcast
I used to love listening to this podcast, but Jimmy’s ridiculous and obviously forced dialect change has made listening impossible. I don’t know why he finds it necessary to speak like a caricature of how he thinks someone from the south talks. It’s actually insulting on a couple different levels.

The amnyville horror
And they would have gotten away with it too, if it weren’t for those meddling paranormal investigators.

Weak and overplayed
The character reading the zodiac letters does a childish and dramatized version, which is exactly what they said they weren’t going to do at the beginning.

The Future?
You know, the real question is when is Jimmy going to do one of these about day-by-day mysterious events happening at his own house? Love the show! Stay safe, Jimmy. Also, did any one notice that in the Richard Doty episode, Dom said that one of the sponsors was Paul B? Paul Bennowitz? 🤔

Used to love listening, but the recent linguistic affectation of droppin’ the letter “g” is so distracting that I can’t listen anymore. Please just stop it. It calls your credibility into question.
Update: Gave it another try recently to see if Jimmy got the message and started speaking normally again. Sadly, he's still droppin' the g's so I'm droppin' the podcast. It's unbearable and I'm out.

Love the show!
I’ve been meaning to write this review for the longest time. I love Jimmy and Dom’s interactions and their objective presentations. But most of all I love the show because of the variety of fascinating topics I learn about. One that actually changed my life concerned synesthesia which mentioned a condition known as aphantasia. What a shock to learn that other people have a real “minds eye”. Thanks Jimmy and Dom. Keep it up!

Mysterious world lives again!
Bravo on revisiting the Malachy prophecy! Please - PLEASE - keep doing the canonical conspiracy topics, and do them over again. Others cannot hold a candle to Jimmy’s methodological rigor on the big topics. The Malachy topic has bothered me for a long time but Jimmy sets my mind at ease every time with his cool logic. May I offer a small criticism: The frequent “listener questions” episodes tend to be more tedious than mysterious and I took a long break because of them. Do the big “in search of” and “art bell” topics you do so well. Also, I am heartened to hear the accent smoothin’ out to a more buttery consistency with an increased frequency of diphthonged vowels. I was a little worried Dom also would start with droppin’ terminal “g”s but he remains comfortably and consistently East-Coast. It’s a good duo with two decidedly different accents.

Fantastic content!
The podcast has some really great, well thought out material on the paranormal and other mysterious topics, but from an educated, grounded, and Catholic perspective! Mr. Akin has a truly impressive breadth of knowledge and interests.

Jimmy, I once heard someone share stories of NDEs for people born blind. This obviously adds a whole new perspective. Have you considered this? Love your shows! Travis Frei

A Buffet for Curious Minds
The breadth of topics alone deserves note, but add to that the skill of the presenters to make the subjects both understandable and compelling and the result is something not merely interesting but also beautiful.

Distracting
I had to stop listening to the show many months ago. Suddenly Jimmy stopped pronouncing “ing” but rather “in”. I couldn’t take it. Ruined a great podcast.

you have a great show and loved the show on the “Rapture”. I remember hearing about that in the 70’s. I totally agree with your view. Blessings to you.

Rethinking Listening Anymore
Dom, aren’t you the CEO of StarQuest? Put a stop to this affected speech Jimmy is sporting. He certainly knows by now it’s exceedingly unpopular, nay, hated and loathed. He affects it only on his own namesake show and not elsewhere. He knows it wouldn’t be welcome so he rams it down our throats. It’s just insufferable.

Very good show I love to listen to it at nights. I would love for them to do an episode about the Max Headroom hijack.

Best Podcast
I have listened to many podcasts and there has been overlap with subjects covered by other shows and hosts. I can confidently state that the JAMW Podcast is consistently the most balanced presentation of the subject matter BY FAR.Keep up the great work Messrs.Akin and Bettinelli!

PLEASE stop the faking
I want so badly to be a regular listener. I can’t stand the purposeful droppin’ of the “g” it’s reallly shameful. It makes you sound like a washed up old coot playing pretend southerner. Please stop. Everyone hates it.

Episode suggestions for this podcasts
I really like this pod, but I find myself scrolling past the newer episodes about aliens and UFOs to the more historic episodes like the beltway sniper shootings or the Cuban mussel crisis. I would really like to see some more podcasts about historic events. Thank you so much for what you do.

Love Jimmy Akin and the Mysterious World!
I started listening to Mysterious World about one month ago and absolutely love it! There are so many interesting episodes and I have learned much. I didn’t know anything about the lost scriptures, or other fascinating topics. I look forward to listening to each new episode and have listened to many of the older ones. Keep going Jimmy! It fills a void that I couldn’t find in any other podcasts. I also love your perspective at the end of each episode!

Gee
I love this show! As a Catholic, I continuously learn new and interesting information.
But… what happened to Jimmy Akin’s speech? Why now does he leave off the -ING at the end of his words? Being the Speech police in the family, I cringe every time he does this.
For example, instead of “runnIng”? He says, “runnin’”. “Sleeping” becomes “sleepin’”“Cringing” is now replaced with “cringin’”.
The “G” is dropped on everythin’ and it is annoyin’, destractin’ and frustratin’!

A refreshing podcast
The best episode structure of any pod on mysterious topics. Good pace and not the same old topics tirelessly covered by others.

nice, but please stop the AI art!!
basically what the title says. its a good podcast, very interesting. however, using ai art for this type of thing is sort of unethical- if you cant get a human to make art or take a photo, or heck, even use a stock photo, then dont use a picture at all. its fine to not have pictures, but ai art should not be encouraged. nonetheless, great podcast and very entertaining!

Please stop using the AI voice
Love your work! Please stop with the ai voice

Medjugorje
Dear Faithful. While Akin is the senior most apologist, please keep in mind that he believes in silly things like spoon bending with your mind and believes he might have actually bent a spoon with his own mind. He has faith for this magic but not for spiritually sound, tested and church approved apparitions. Something as serious as a communication from heaven is treated with far more skepticism. Maybe in truth, in the past, Akin has said not to look for Medjugorje’s approval, and he simply can’t be wrong now. He loves to debate and maybe this is ego. Either way, keep the faith!

Well organized and takes itself seriously
I love how well organized and high quality this show is. The different hosts play different roles to make the show easy to follow. And every little reference mentioned is followed by the number of the episode where you could find it. Then the hosts prepare a list of resources of go through them one by one to help listeners who want to take a deep dive. God bless and continue please. Please consider making a series on the history of the church. I know it’s daunting task but so many Christians are unaware of it and it will give us give an answer to the hope in which we have because more or less all the criticisms that our secular world present to us now has been raised and answered in antiquity.

Always a fascinating and thought provoking show. I especially love your shows on lost scriptures. Thank you for all of your hard work that is evident in every show.

My favorite podcast
But I agree with the poster who finds the Arkansas accent peculiar, self conscious, and off-putting. If his former accent wasn’t native, it had definitely become the appealing voice everyone knows — and perhaps more his own than the present attempt to re-home his persona.

Cringe Dialect
Prior, could hardly wait to listen! Since he moved to hometown… CRINGE & IRRITATING DIALECT! Seems now he can NOT correctly pronounce ANY
ENGLISH WORD ENDING IN A “g”!! 😲😖
Look’in’, won’drin’, notice-in’, readin’, reportin’, solve’in’, somethin’, accordin’. You get my point.
