Stop hammering!
Matt and company you are doing an excellent job! I applaud what you do and completely support it. Thank you

Important
Thank you for pointing out the important issue of R3. The agenda to get more hunters onto less available land. More hunters on public lands while fewer landowners allowing hunters to access their private property is a recipe for failure.

Keep it up.
Matt don’t stop !!! Keep up the fight . You’re going against decades of brainwashing if I hadn’t found your podcast I would’ve never given this a second thought.

Hunt Quietly Review
Matt gives much needed attention to the wildlife and wild places of Montana, and he’s not selling anything or giving watered down outdoor adjacent content. With Matt you get what you see and some good info. I would like to hear stories about his hunting adventures. It’s always fun to hear about other people’s hunts- like the time he took a tumble down a cliff and his Corgi ditched him and ran back to camp. To stay in line with the mission of the show to get less people outside Matt could start the stories episode off with the disclaimer “Do not attempt the following..,”.

Keep it up buddy.
You know when there are negative reviews you’ve struck a nerve. Keep up the great work, Matt. What you’re doing here is important. Thank you for that.

For the Hunter
Best podcast on hunting . Supports hunters not the hunting industry which are often at odds

Arrogant and ignorant
If you are good with people making up their own set of facts and spewing them like they are gold, this is the podcast for you.

A change in perspective
I really feel a sense of enlightenment and open perspective listening. Obviously every advocate has a bias but I originally listened to this pod after reading a post on the meat eater subreddit of a bunch of boot licker meat eater fans making fun of Matt and during my first listen I was just thinking man these guys are just whining but I just had a urge to keep listening and now I have done a complete 180 on my perspectives thanks to Matt advocating for the effects of influencers have on the natural world and jerking hunting gate kept is a better alternative then these business man try to make the general public want to be some stereotypical elk assassin. I may not be using my words to express what I mean well and it’s probably not fair to call them boot lickers but I know for sure Matt isn’t like the rest of the birds chirping: hunt quietly

Dumb “research” leads to dumber conclusions
The conclusions brought forward on this podcast might be some of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard or read on the internet.

Quite Depressing
The first couple podcasts left me with a negative attitude. I listen to podcast in the morning and I noticed it set my mood for the day. I can’t tell if this guy likes hunting or likes to hate other people who also hunt.

Advocating for all common public land hunters
Matt and the crew are fighting the good fight for all of us who have been around long enough to see the quality of hunting deteriorate over time. It’s become pretty apparent that it’s due to the hunting industry and celebrities inflating interest from nonhunters who are more interested in giant antlers and inflating their egos by posting it on social media. I so appreciate HQ’s sacrifices on our behalf.

Educational and makes you question your motivations
I feel like the pod as a whole brings up really important questions and topics that are not discussed enough. The Hunt Quietly organization is tackling hunter caused issues rather than burying their head in the sand like the majority of the industry. Give a couple of episodes a listen before you make the choice for yourself.

To be better you must know better
I would handsomely bet my full hunting future life, that what this podcast will put true conservation and habitat concerns into a genuine priority not eroded by self fame or money. This is a proper grass roots podcast, a mature philosophy of hunting without the disingenuous intentions that current celebrity hunting figureheads pose. If anything, these celebrity hunters are the wild fire that will ruin hunting for everyone including themselves. Keep up the righteous conversation gentlemen!

Dissapponted
I was really excited to hear his podcast with Hal Herring of BHA Podcast (who I love and highly recommend). However, I was really let down. This podcast has horrible audio and is cringy to listen to. Rinella seems hardly interested in anything Hal has to say. “Oh” and “huh” seem to be his favorite phrases. Hardly any follow up questions. He seems to have the same narcissism as his brother, but lacks charisma to make up for it. I like podcasts with hosts who I could imagine sitting down to dinner with and chatting to - I would rather slam my head into a wall than have to talk to this guy. For a guy who really loves to bash others I struggle to find a redeeming quality of his.

Great content, poor audio quality
Matt, it’s a great show with your content. I listened today for the first time after seeing a link show up in one of my Facebook posts. I live in North Carolina, so episode 94 was particularly important to me. But you have to get better audio equipment. The conversation reminded me of when I used to be in the service 25 years ago, talking over half duplex lines and having to wait for the other person to respond. You’re have great content and great guests but your message will get a lot further when your audio quality gets better. Keep it up.

A podcast of high integrity
This review is written on November 5th 2023, please don’t stop this podcast Matt because maybe now it’s only been 3000 people who have heard your integral message, A truly altruistic message which the world needs more of, maybe one day it’s 10000 people or maybe 100000 people one day. I place an immense amount of value in hunting as well

Truth
This guy gets it, if you want legit thought on the scene of hunting in the US today and where it’s headed you need to listen. Also enjoy the low rent production, how discussions should be

This is how to be a giant hypocrite 101.
Way to go Matt literally everything you talked about flushed.

My kind of podcast
Great job on the talk for the P&Y convention. Very compelling arguments in regards to hunting promotion. I am a big fan of BHA but other than that I’m with you on most of these issues which definitely are negatively impacting public land diy hunting.
Breakshunter
Great listen
Matt does a great job discussing the issues facing the hunter today who isn’t born in the lucky sperm club with abundant private land to hunt. The word of hunting without posting it to social media and hotspotting public land needs to gain more traction and this podcast supports it. 5 stars

Good substance
Dude, for the love of god get some better audio equipment for the show. If I stop listening, that will be the reason.

Amen, the truth!
Agree with Matt on his issues. Appreciate him being a voice for the reality of public land hunting. It’s a money game for the state wildlife life agencies, non-profits and social media hunting sluts. I call them out too and it’s not popular. The hunting public is blind to the hypocrisy of people making money selling out our heritage of hunting. Specifically here in Wyoming.

Great listening into
Love listening into the conversations and the topics discussed. I have a baby on the way and it’s always making me think about what their future with hunting and the outdoors looks like. My only negative about this podcast is sometimes Matt takes so long to respond I think I’m getting a phone call and the podcast is paused. But seriously Matt I enjoy listening to it and appreciate your efforts and sharing your views.

Highly recommended
A much needed critical voice in the era of endless commodification. You may not agree with every view point here, but I’d argue that this podcast is the only avenue of serious self reflection in the hunting community and the outdoor industry as a whole.

More drivel
If you love inebriated rants, personal attacks, and regurgitation of the same points, step on in. You’ll love this train wreck in motion. Don’t plan to have to hear guests points because Matt is incapable of allowing anyone to finish a thought. You’ll hear his inability to mention his brother and his anti 2A bed partners. The jealousy of Steve is strong. And if you don’t follow lock step, the bottle will come off his lips just long enough to tell you never to listen again. Ahhhh, the clown world.

Great podcast, love listening to different thinking and opinions
I enjoy listening to Matt speak on a lot of issues hunters face today, I don’t agree with every single opinion, but that’s why I also enjoy listening, don’t think it would be a good podcast if it was just always an echo chamber of everything I hold near and dear. Keep up the good work, I also enjoy the Instagram page which seems to get some people going in the comments 😂 check it out.

Informative and spellbounding
What I like about what Matt has done is make you really think in relation to real outcomes of hunting pressure and the issues social media has on hunting. It’s time us stand up for hunting and protect its core values.

Eastern Elk Episode
Love the podcast! In this episode specifically, I was hoping to learn more about the extinct eastern elk subspecies. There is little to no content out there on the eastern elk and was hoping that would be covered more. Lots of questions on how the eastern elk thrived in Pennsylvania prior to them being exterminated from the region in the late 1800’s. Were there similarities between the original eastern elk and the Rocky Mountain elk that were brought in from Yellowstone? You’ll have to have him on again to talk about the TRUE Eastern Elk! Lol love the podcast and everything you all are doing with making a positive impact on hunting. 5 stars

Great
I believe uncomfortable conversation is vitality important to the future of hunting. This podcast will get you thinking! Agree or disagree!!!

Terrible
Matt disregards anyones opinion and solely bases his thoughts on socialism beliefs. Disregards people’s hard work on how they’ve made it to where they are and everything he argues is contradicting. Terrible podcast.

About time
All influencers should be forced to hunt out of the same trailhead. Blowing up hunting spots for likes/business has been infuriating. Listening to some of your guests claim their posts motivate people…it motivates people for the wrong reasons leading to animals being killed unlawfully. Thanks for creating this podcast and being a voice for those who don’t try to profit from public lands or the wildlife they kill.

Getting better
The guests and topics are improving. The message is becoming clearer.

Interesting
It seems a contradiction to promote a podcast that combats the hunting content industry, but I think this perspective is valuable and much needed even if I don’t agree with everything Matt says. Worth the listen, even if only to challenge your own opinions and hear a different perspective.

Podcast Quietly
A refreshing, and at times, bracing outdoors podcast — vastly different and more original than the usual pissing contests. It can be disorganized and haphazard at times, but the subject matter and viewpoints are critical to the broader discussion of hunting in the 21st century, and I imagine HQ will find its course!

Great podcast
Love the podcast. Matt is talking about the problems in hunting that no one else wants to talk about. I look forward to every episode.

Yep, Matt’s correct…
Overcrowding is a huge issue. Most of my hunts revolve around trying to predict human behavior, not the animals I’m after. Even on limited entry hunts, it’s not uncommon for me to see 5+ people with one tag holder. It’s turned in to a circus, though without the entertainment. Really takes away from the purity of the experience.

Great Show
I value the different perspectives offered here.

Fantastic
This podcast has been amazing to listen to. Matt has had on some amazing guests. The topics that this podcast covers are some of the most important topics and issues that hunters and anglers face today.

REFRESHING POINT OF VIEW
I thoroughly enjoy Matt’s point of view and his ability to articulate a well-informed and very well-defined set of “rules” for keeping hunting and fishing a pure form of outdoor recreation; for current and future generations to provide resources for themselves. Access , access , access. VERY thought provoking!
Mikemillerbat
Solid
This is a good podcast that discusses social media and hunting television’s affect on access and hunt quality.

Finally
So glad someone is finally talking about all the issues that most hunters all know exist but main stream refuses to honestly look at.

Listed to 4 complete podcast
I share the similarity with matt that social media hunting trends are not valuable nor will it promote hunting in a good light. I agree that we must all be more responsible for ourself, and understand that hunting is a thing I partake in and that isn’t not my whole identity. Also, share that hunting behavior is at a all time low, that needs course corrected asap. Where we disagree is that in the first 4 podcast, Matt says multiple opinions that he serves up as a fact, or atleast doesn’t offer up that what he is saying is opinion. Then proceeds to speak about public land as if it’s a resource that should be held specific for that state residence usage, and that public lands are not for all tax payers. Then flips on his own arguement by saying hunters should not buy or lease hunting land. Please keep in mind that this man lived his life in Michigan prior to moving west, and he was at one point the person he now points the finger at as being the problem. So self aware now that he can stamp himself as a resident of a west state and now believes these resources are free for He and not for me. He also continues to justify this message because he believes that the things he partakes in are not over taxing the resource. Please do better at being a representative of this past time that we have been handed from ours fathers before us. Please stay focused on the real issues of hunting behavior, and improvement/ growth of public land/ natural resources to help accommodate the growth of hunting. Being diversive with lead to the removal of all hunting rights. Finally, please quit hanging your hat on the fact that your morally better than your counter parts because you believe you are doing what is right. Will continue to check in on the podcast and see if the podcast improves. This is just an opinion of one man who has an opinion. Do yourself a favor and listen for yourself.

Finally someone trying to bring a little common sense into modern hunting industry.

Thanks
Finally someone to speak up for those of us who don’t need a side by side and First Lite gear to go hunting.

Thought provoking
Matt makes a solid argument although he readily admits he doesn’t do enough research as this podcast isn’t his career. I think he would be an interesting guest on Joe Rohan’s podcast to get more exposure to his own efforts and on demand research from Jamie while Joe gives him the time to flesh out his reasoning. One suggestion for higher rating and likely more people tuning in would be to ask his brother for tips on being a better host so is interviews had better flow
