Too many commercials
Good content, but I can’t stand just how many commercials I had to listen to. So I will not be listening again.

Is 5 minutes worth of ads necessary?
Wanted to listen to the Krista Tippett episode but I’m immediately turned off by the amount of ads - what even is the principle of your podcast?

Too many commercials
I really wanted to like this show, and be a better person, but there was so many commercials that I never really got to listen to the content of the shows. It’s too distracting to have to go through all those commercials just to hear the content that ends up being much less than what you thought it would be. I gave up and I’m onto a different podcast.

The music at the beginning
Love your program, but I guess your show would be even more popular if you had a different piece of music to begin with.

Chris is the consummate interviewer
This is a fantastic podcast. Anyone who wants to learn both content from so many various experts and also the skill of having in-depth conversations should listen to every episode. Chris’ self-deprecatory humor, willingness to share his own vulnerability, and genuine curiosity about the guest and their expertise all come together to make the episodes deeply engaging and fun.

Really entertaining and informative.
I love the energy and the clarity and intellectual depth of this show. It doesn’t try to be preachy. It gives us valuable insights and ways to apply the new lessons in our lives. I love the lightheartedness of the host as well as his articulate energy. There is levity as much as profoundness. It is scholarly but made simple enough to internalize it. 👍👍

Unclear how professional journalists unable to speak in public
Like. Right? You know. Whatever. So. Ya know. Like. Right? So, ya know, I love this show but finding it increasingly challenging to, ya know, right?, listen to, ya know? (the guests are far worse than the host at non sense non speak)

I look forward to new episodes!
I recently came across this podcast and proceeded to listen to every single episode! Each guests background is so diverse and the host has such an incredible talent of making each experience digestible to a large audience. I have been able to relate something in my day to the episode that I listened to that morning and I can honestly say that I believe I am becoming a better human since listening to this podcast!

How to lead a happier, more fulfilling life
This episode isn’t even worth listening to because the study is from a cohort of (likely) all white and all men from Harvard. Seriously how hard could it be to make these privileged guys lives happier?

Liana Finck
"How to solve your problems using drawing" with Liana Finck is a great episode! This was so relatable and Finck is so approachable and humble. This conversation helped me so much with my feelings of worthlessness/ unworthiness as an artist, and accepting that my creative output goes through "seasons"— AND THAT'S OKAY AND NORMAL!!! Love y'all♥️♥️♥️

Interesting subjects and thoughtful discussion
I can’t recall how I came across this podcast but it’s become one of my favorites. I enjoy the cheerful attitude of the host and the easygoing way his conversations flow with his guests. I always come with a new outlook and a new lesson learned after listening.

Stop Advertising BetterHelp
I really like the podcast but I thought a self-improvement podcast would know about BetterHelp's terrible track record. They share patient information with 3rd parties, and they have unqualified "therapists" just to name a few. BetterHelp is a tech company first. I implore this pod to have some better ethics about who they accept as sponsors.

I ❤️ this podcast
Love listening to this podcast. Personally I think The Jungle by Upton Sinclair written in the early 1900’s during the Industrial Revolution boom. It was controversial at the time and he received death threats and was ostracized by many for writing it. It’s fictional however largely based on what was going on at the time. When I read it I was surprised to learn that becoming an immigrant only required jumping into a pickup truck and agreeing to vote for them in the upcoming election 😊…how things have changed.

Validating, revitalizing, engaging!
I'm a nurse, and the episode about grief hit home! Thank you for verbalizing SO many of my thoughts. I appreciate you & all you do!

Thank God the guests are good
I come for the guests and their perspective. Chris Duffy is impossibly pompous and arrogant during the interviews. Any growth moments he shares about himself are clearly scripted. He has the world figured out already and has to read words someone else has written to convey moments of personal growth. It’s a shame since many of the guests are inviting genuine and authentic dialogue and curiosity. Chris isn’t up to the task.

Michael Schur episode September 19 - 100 ⭐️
(Maybe) somewhat abnormally, but not to me, I will search apple podcasts to see if Michael Schur has been on any recent podcasts as a guest talking about his book “How to be Perfect”, his sports and random topics podcast called The PosCast with Joe Posnanski, his new working relationship with Meadowlark Media, the Dan Lebatard & Friends Network (although he’s soon (he hopes) to get fired from those shows) or lastly but most famously for his writing on The Office, The Good Place, Brooklyn 99, Saturday Night Live etc. I listen to Michael Schur because he makes SENSE! He’s logical, kind, considerate, humble, appreciative. He is HILARIOUS! He makes me laugh and he makes my heart happy. He adores his wife, kids, dogs. He wants us all to be better in any small way that we can and our combined efforts will make lives better, and we will be better for it. I was ELATED to come across this podcast today! Chris is a fabulous host! Great questions, insightful, clearly does his homework and above all, he’s an admirer of Michael Schur’s career and his efforts on and off the screen. This was a FABULOUS podcast and I can’t wait to listen to all the other episodes. I know I’ll learn something in every podcast.

this is a great podcast to put on while I go on a walk! i laugh alongside Chris and enjoy his thoughtful anecdotes that always pair well with guests’ experiences. i have been eating with more mindfulness (buying produce in season, eating less meat) because of the Sean Sherman episode. i’d love to hear more from more WOC in the future

Why the advertisements?
I don’t understand why am educational podcast would need advertisements and within the first minutes of the podcast even. Sadly to say I unsubscribed.

Best podcast ever!
I thought this one would be interesting to listen to because it deals with the psychology on how improve one self's behavior. The most memorable thing about this podcast is that it makes it memorable because all the ads that are sponsorships, are very helpful because Chris gives resources for people that deal with mental issues and other global issues, where he provides these resources to help raise awareness. I love that he always includes his CVS Red Nose Day and his sponsorship with the company of his favorite sock and tells that every time somebody buys a pair, the organization donates to people in need. I love that he has psychologists and other professionals, and they talk about how people can change or deal with new issues that deal with depression, grief and other mental problems. I also like it because it gives us a perspective that can help us learn even further from what Chris would explain. The one expert/guest that I liked the most was Dr. Lucy Hone, because she included mental issues that are most common in other countries and tried to connect them to the U.S. A question I would want to ask Chris is, how does he deal with mental issues himself? And how does he feel about the pandemic affecting it? And I would like to ask him this because since he likes it a lot and has his guests talk the same thing, I would like to see this from his point of view. Other topics that I would want the podcast to cover is that I would like to see a normal person, not an expert, but a normal guest, and I would like them to tell their story of dealing with mental issues and how do they deal with them, and what expectations do they have for themselves.

Love this!
So grateful for this podcast. One of my favorites to listen to when I go for a walk. Such a lovely source of empathy, optimism, and humility during a tough time. Also on a side note- I actually got one of the Apollo Neuroscience devices after hearing about it here and have been shocked at how genuinely effective it has been for managing my fibro symptoms. Thanks for making this podcast, your time and work are so appreciated!
