Bari and team try to spin their podcasts and substacks as bastions of independent journalism and reporting that was forced to veer conservative. Do not be fooled, follow the money trail, they have always been conservative and are now so owned they serve as the metaphorical mind laundering into the far-right.

The prediction episode was so lame. Total miss on picking topics of interest. Hard to listen to. And so clearly biased as to be useless. I would have enjoyed a more realistic view of the world. Pop culture is no longer of any interest.

No surprise that in these Orwellian times, a podcast called “Honestly” would be hosted by a serial liar bent on producing propaganda.

Bari is very very good at providing cover & justification for why powerful people do no wrong and should be allowed to keep their power despite abuses and exploitation. If you are a billionaire or a political elite, you will absolutely love this podcast. If you are anyone else, look elsewhere for objective news that isn’t merely sucking up to the most powerful people in society.

I’m enjoying watching Bari’s rise from journalist and commentator to someone gaining access on a large scale. I’ll miss this podcast, but change is inevitable. Just one thing: the CBS show is called “Sunday Morning,” not “Sunday MorningS.” Please don’t forsake the details as you address the Big Issues. This was quite a gaffe, imho. Good luck.

Listened since the beginning. Lots of interesting interviews when it was alternative and independent at an important time. Not anymore. Would be nice if there was a critical approach to the current president, as there was with the last one. I guess “the vibe shift” often noted, will be forever and enduring and is not worth asking real questions of. Bari axing the 60 Minutes piece on human rights abuse because our government declined to respond was the clincher. Unsubscribed.

I just want to say as both a Bible believing Christian and a steadfast supporter of Israel..Any professing Christian that holds hatred of Israel and/or Jewish people is either sadly misguided and will hopefully soon be sanctified to the truth (hopefully sooner rather than later) or is not a Christian at all and doesn’t know the Lord and His word! You cannot study God‘s word with a pure heart and simultaneously hate Israel and/or the Jewish people. I will say that I think the podcast titled the birth of Christianity right around Christmas time was Miss-titled. It seemed to be much less about the birth of Christianity and more about current conspiracy theories and why and how they started. Was not what I was looking for at Christmas time. But I did still learn some and I love history.

The first part of the 3036 predictions episode was one of the dumbest podcasts that I listened to in 2025. Sara was a brain dead bimbo who was clueless. It was just awful.

As a Christian, I found this episode disappointing and I had planned to write a comment about it, the first time I have ever done so. However, after reading the comments already posted here, I am more disappointed in the response of other listeners, especially those who call themselves Christians. We have a host who is "fascinated by Jesus" and seems to be earnestly seeking answers to who He is. That should be encouraged, not condemned. It is not unreasonable for her to seek answers from one who holds herself out as an expert on the historical Jesus. I disagree with many of the conclusions Frederickson makes and especially her historicity, which excludes the Gospels which are some of the most historically reliable and timely sources on this issue. However, as a Jewish person who has seen the persecution of her people in the past, perhaps faced persecution herself, and is watching the alarming rise in anti-Semitism around the world today, I understand why she would be looking for answers that confirm her desire to paint Christians as anti-Semites and Jew-haters. It provides answers for the incomprehensible question of why the world keeps hating and perpetrating violence against Jews. Unfortunately, it is the wrong answer, as it ignores and denies the One who loves Jews the most, who was Himself a Jew, and who came to fulfill the law and prophecies of the Jews. My Savior lived life on this earth as a Jewish man. He came for His people first. Christians who deny this and those who act with hatred, bigotry, and violence against the Jewish people do not understand their own scriptures. The response to those who are genuinely seeking answers about Jesus is not hate, vitriol, and self-righteous canceling. The answer is to invite more respectful discussion, to ask sincere questions, and to offer a different point of view that reflects the love of Jesus. So to Bari Weiss, thank you for another podcast that made me think. I did not agree with it and it made me frustrated and sad, but I shared it with those around me and, as you suggest, we had our own honest conversation. The assisted suicide debate pushed me over the edge. Not worth mentioning that Dr. Dugdale is a thousand percent a Christian Missionsry? If I look her up on my own, she’s all about Christ and dying the Christian way…yet, couldn’t mention that in the intro/bio? Listening to it kept making me feel like I was missing something. She’s not just representing the medical providers here. This podcast’s focus on religion is really turning me off.

This podcast illuminated and clarified the journey we have endured in the past and confirmed that the future is unclear and frightening. Yet, together with our pride and devotion we will endure. As the author said, we have been through worse. Thank you Bari, for once again informing us with your kind and accurate tone. You not only educate us, but you bring down the temperature so we can digest what is going on.

Evidently she does, and she’s doubling down on it. Bari Weiss and Bill Maher are just pathetic losers who will do whatever their dear leader tells them to do.

There was so much to dislike about this interview, including its unchecked bias and inaccuracies. But to air this pompous treatment of one of the world’s great religions by a hostile non-believer the very week of Christianity’s most winsome holy day, celebrating the incarnation of God, was especially inconsiderate of so many in your listenership.

The Christmas special was a joke. Anyone who has read the Bible and spent any time in a legitimate church will recognize the nonsense and lies being put forth as factual information. What a joke! This episode convinced me to never listen to this podcast again.

I listened to the Christmas special with the biblical scholar. The episode turned into a Christians are horrible to the Jews throughout history and today. Shameful no mention of who is killing Jews across the world.

December 2025 Alas, it was one month after Bari Weiss sold out to the anti-Christian CBS that she trotted out the tired old anti-Christian “scholar” Paul Fredrickson solo with no one encounter her bad ideas. Bari’s gift to Christian’s on Christmas Day was to bring a failed scholar in to badmouth the faith and discredit Jesus. So predictable. Thanks, CBS. November 2024 The show is OK when Bari does it. Michael Moynihan is awful. I heard the podcast when he hosted it and he badmouthed everyone in the GOP about “conspiracy theories”. He’s also whining about Trump’s meetings with Kanye West and other people. Just because Trump met with someone, it doesn’t mean he adopted their policies. Come on Bari, get control of the pod!! July 2024 I want to like this podcast and often it’s good. But Bari Weiss just isn’t objective. Two days after Donald Trump was almost assassinated she STILL kept calling him a “threat to Democracy” and used the “Whitmer Kidnapping Plot” in which it was learned that the FBI had provided funding and planning and entrapped the supposed conspirators. Do your homework, Bari, and stop the adhominem attacks!!

Anyone else watch with huge disappointment as Bari Weiss allowed herself and her podcast devolve into something unrecognizable to original listeners? She went from facilitating civilized debates on relevant topics of the day to whatever this is. Sadly, I’m unsubscribing.

Like a previous reviewer, I have listened to this podcast from the start. Bari gave me hope for journalism, and I too sang her praises to friends who live in echo chambers. I honestly can’t believe what’s happened to her of late. After listening to the Erika Kirk faux interview, I felt not just dismayed but actually betrayed. What happened to asking tough questions … or any questions, really? It was so bad I feel I have no choice but to unfollow.

I’ve listened to almost every episode of this podcast for over a year. I’ve championed Bari’s approach to journalism in dozens of conversations, recommended specific episodes I thought would resonate with acquaintances, and tried to “widen the aperture” (to borrow one of Bari’s best phrases) when confronting my echo chamber of my friends and family who are seeing an issue from a shallow partisan perspective. After Bari’s sham of an interview with Erika Kirk, I’m out. It was political theatre in exchange for engagement and I literally cannot believe Bari allowed Erika’s insane answers to go unchecked; where was the journalist, was she in the room with us!? When Erika was asked about violent rhetoric - of which the Left is absolutely guilty of - in relation to Trump’s tweets calling a disagreement he’s having with lawmakers “punishable by death” Erika refused to hold Trump accountable, responded that parents should spend more time with their kids and less time at Pilates. Bari didn’t redirect or push in any capacity - like this was some kind of Vanity Fair puff piece. It was horrifying to watch Bari lose her integrity in real time. Deleting this podcast from my stream.

Arranging to have the last person who spoke to Charlie Kirk as he was murdered pose a question to his widow on stage was a new low. Bari was supposed to improve journalism, not make it worse. Might as well bring back Maury Povitch from retirement.

The show is great. I love the different perspectives and Bari’s interview style. The “MAID” was disappointing, unfortunately. I was on the fence and can see both sides having cared for loved ones at the end of their lives. Dr. Dugdale was informative and compassionate. David Hoffman was dishonest, euphemistic, and dismissive of every real world example she gave. He lost my support with his deceptive performance.

These podcasts offer so much food for thought. Bari Weiss and her unique interview subjects provide great fodder for interesting conversation. And how exhilarating to hear several sides of a story instead of the one-sided reporting that currently rules rules the day.

I came in expecting thoughtful commentary from someone positioned left of center, or at the very least a genuinely balanced analysis with real arguments from both sides. Instead, I’ve been surprised—and honestly disappointed—to see major political and moral crises of the past year almost entirely ignored. Since Trump returned to office, we’ve witnessed deeply alarming events: inhumane treatment of immigrants, open defiance of court orders, reports of people being “disappeared,” and troubling relationships with foreign governments that seem to benefit Trump personally. These aren’t minor footnotes; they’re defining issues. Yet they barely register here. At a moment when democracy and human rights are being tested, I was hoping for a platform that would acknowledge the urgency and foster honest debate. Instead, we get pieces like “why men should read more” during weeks when the country is grappling with constitutional and humanitarian crises. I want to appreciate Barry’s work, but I can’t shake the feeling that she’s avoiding the very pressures and moral compromises she so often criticizes in others.

Bari’s interviews are warm, generous, insightful and deeply researched and she likewise meanwhile - deservedly- manages to be the editor in chief of two media empires, one she built from scratch on a set of serious convictions. She’s swum against the current and faced down the mob again and again, and many of us are grateful for it, especially those of us who value real journalism.

This interview brought me to tears multiple times. I wish him and his family the very best and hope he is able to stay in the Senate as a voice of moderation, reason, and kindness. Thank you Bari!

I think Barry Weiss is an insightful, intelligent, and potentially transformative media figure in the US and the world. However, much too often I find myself cringing at the hypocrisy, contradictions, and cherry picking of her arguments and the people she chooses to interview. I have much documentation and evidence to support my opinion. I only hope that as she progresses in her career, she chooses to offer multiple perspectives and the complexity of the issues than what she’s doing currently with the free press.

I’ve never, in my years of listening to podcasts ever posted anything in the way comments or observations. Same for my non existent Facebook presence. But listening to Bari, whom I’ve grown to trust and admire , soft pedal the author of this piece on alcoholism enraged me. It was all so light hearted, like a basket of Rainbows and Unicorns, her years of alcohol abuse. Barely a wisp of introspection on the effect her drunken life had on the people around her. Weiss did bother to mention, albeit with scant energy how , just maybe , some folks might consider the guests method a bit risky. Let’s trade an addiction to alcohol to an addiction to naltrexone, what could be the harm. I want to have my cake and eat it too. Sorry Bari, but you dropped the ball big time on this one.

When there is an episode I am interested in, I always enjoy it. But it is very rare I see one that seems interesting to me. Not sure who the episodes are targeted for, but it seems to be a small group and it isn’t me.
