Florida native here born and raised 27 miles into the swamp surrounded by state preserves. The skunk ape is lore I grew up listening to. Hunting with my dad on cool foggy mornings. I’ve known about them my entire life and my father encountered one when he was a teen on his airboat hog hunting. Love yall

Love their voices mostly but they make listening easier too. Interesting and engaging.

I like how Matt and Adam bring some skepticism to the table. You can tell they want to believe but they still tell you about all the plausible alternatives.

Classic Butter Cookies Yields: about 3 dozen Prep Time: 15 minutes Bake Time: 10–12 minutes Ingredients • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened • ¾ cup granulated sugar • 1 large egg • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract (or 1 tsp vanilla + ½ tsp almond extract for flavor variation) • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour • ½ teaspoon salt ⸻ Instructions 1. Preheat oven: to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper. 2. Cream butter and sugar: In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar together until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes). 3. Add egg and vanilla: Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until smooth. 4. Add dry ingredients: Mix in flour and salt until just combined. Don’t overmix. 5. Shape cookies: • For drop cookies: scoop teaspoonfuls and roll into balls, flatten slightly. • For piped cookies: spoon dough into a piping bag with a large star tip. Pipe swirls or sticks. • For slice-and-bake: shape dough into a log, chill 30 minutes, then slice. 6. Bake: 10–12 minutes or until edges are just golden. 7. Cool: Let cool on the sheet 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack.

I came her because of Astonishing Legends; for me AL is like going to a dinner party and listening to the interesting guys, while GYT is is like sitting on the porch with the neighbor that has all the stories. Feels like home to me.

This show is something I look forward to every week and even if a new episode hasn’t come out, I’ll listen to old ones that are new to me or revisit some favorite topics from the last. My boyfriend showed me this podcast and we love taking Matt and Adam with us on roadtrips. Wonderful banter, funny and dumb dad jokes, and good research on interesting topics. Thank you!

I just love everything about this podcast. The random add tangents are hilarious and remind me of my own conversations lol the podcast in general is just great. It is about ghost stories, mythical creatures, crytid’s and haunted places. I love how they’re willing to debunk something but also willing to believe how it is very possible as well. No one can explain the unknown and they’re very open about that.

Nobody wants to hear about your farts.

I absolutely love the banter that goes on between these two guys. It’s like listening, literally to the brothers that I wish I had. They I have such insight and they get me to thinking about things I wouldn’t have otherwise thought about. Fringe science for instance-you know a couple hundred years ago, molecules and germs were fringe science ..people didn’t believe what they couldn’t see… Now we know what exists. It’s really eye-opening shows. I appreciate it’s easy to listen to, great way to do projects and be entertained. Wish I could get my husband engaged with the show because I think he’d really like it. The dad jokes at the beginning are incredible too!

The pick a good topic, do their research and make a great show with depth and humor. The audio quality is very good which many shows seem to lack.

I enjoy listening to all of the different tales from around the world and listening to the two of these gentlemen discussing their opinions and thoughts about each topic. I just want to say thank you for doing Lizzy Borden on Halloween! I am from the area of Massachusetts that the Borden were from and as I child I, of course, sang the rhythm with my friends on the playground. It was wonderful waking up this morning and listen to a tale that I had knowledge about and I even decided to take a detour and drive by the house on my way to work this morning as I continued to listen.

I love all the topics they go over and enjoy how they are so closely tied into the community they have created through there awesome show

I’ve listened to the show for about 4-5 years now. It’s time I leave a review. These guys always put out great content. I always leave with some new information regarding history or trivia. I enjoy their type of comedy and enjoy how they explain things simply enough to understand. I wish Adam and Matt all the success in their endeavors.

I really enjoy the Christmas stories written by other listeners. It makes me consider sending the one episode in my life that I cannot explain and it still brings me great fear. Anyway, happy new year and continue the good work. Thank you.
