I don’t know how Amy Poehler does it? First parks and rec now Good hang. How is it that she can bring such joy to whatever she touches. In a world that is filled with stress hate, and sadness you bring such joy and laughter to it. You’ve also done something really amazing and I don’t even know if you realize it. You take people, celebrities, who are viewed as untouchable and iconic and you make them human. You make them even more approachable and lovable. The way you and your guests talk, it reminds me of when I talk with my friends about life. And it’s so refreshing to know that other people no matter their status are also having deep and meaningful friendships. You ask your guests what’s making them laugh? Now I’m not a celebrity so I will most likely never be on your show, but I can honestly answer that your show whether it be parks and rec or good hang is what makes me laugh and brings me joy. Thank you for that. Keep up to good work don’t get cocky (that was a joke. I just listened to the Steve Carell episode, which was also amazing.)

The world has changed and these people didn't get the memo.

This show is legitimately church right now for suburban white Gen X women wanting to feel like they’re part of the resistance. Read the comments themselves. The only complaints are that the show isn’t enough of a cult. Every live episode is like a broadcast from Jonestown with white lady call and response working themselves into a delusional fever with all their favorite meaningless buzz words.

I just listened to the episode with Viola Davis. She is the best guest by far! I am deeply in love! Another great interview, Amy!

Before Good Hang, my favorite celebrity podcast was Andrea Savage’s one, which was so short lived. Amy has the same thing she had and it’s a rare quality… the ability to be “pee in your pants” hilarious (and bring that out in your guests) plus also being warm and genuine while asking thought provoking questions. I seriously adore Amy and this podcast!

This podcast is funny, insightful, and brings some levity to my stressful day.

There are really are no other podcasts like this one. I know I'm going to hear a good, interesting and funny conversation, and I'm going to learn something new every time!

As someone who has been through a whole lot of ridiculousness, this was exactly what I needed. I spent years trying to fix myself after experiencing religious abuse. I listened to all the podcasts meant to help, read all the books, and did all the therapy things, only to find myself more lost, anxious, and depressed than ever. I finally let it all go and found this podcast. It’s reminded me of the fun parts of me that were lost, inspired me that it’s never too late (even as a 40 yr old mom), helped me let go, and motivated me on hard days. I thought I needed “help” for so long, turns out I needed joy, laughter, and fun. Thank you Amy Poehler, you will truly never know how much what you are doing has saved me from giving up!!!

Amy Poehler’s vibe is divinely silly, earnest and straight up human. The way this podcast accomplishes to live up to its name is beyond. I have been listening from episode one, but I am going to recommend the episode where she hangs with Johnathan Groff as a fun way to start on your new obsession.

This podcast is such a joyful breath of fresh air! I’ve not watched much of Amy Poehler’s work, but boy do I love what she’s done with this podcast. It’s like listening to two old friends chatting, and I love getting to learn more about people I’m a fan of. Keep it up, Amy!!

as a woman just entering her forties my favorite episodes are with women in their 50s 60s 70s 80s 90s (!!) it gives me so much to look forward to. thank you amy for always being a hilarious guiding light. ilysm.

I recommend this show bigly! Amy Poehler is the hilarious sister everyone wants to “hang” with. It takes a surgeon’s precision to be so funny without dominating the conversation and making yourself the center of attention. These conversations are so natural and so funny. Her generosity and kindness comes through without being sappy or saccharine. She(like her best friend Tina Fay) is a once (twice?) in a generation talent.

Jonathan Groff was delightful! Wicked smart, generous storyteller and, quite frankly, my favorite guest this far. Ten thumbs up!

Nothing bad or wrong with the podcast, but nothing great either. Kind of like a long, but pleasant elevator conversation. If you want something without intellectual stimulation and can fill some time, this gets the job done. Not my thing though.

I love love love Carol Burnett and Amy Poehler so this episode was amazing! I grew up watching the Carol Burnett show and Carol still cracks me up. Amy is a great host who seems to genuinely love her guests and she does her homework prior to the interview. Thank you for making me laugh and smile.

I love this podcast! Amy is a great conversationalist; her questions and her responses to the guest demonstrate she’s really tuned into what’s being said. She makes it look easy although I’m sure that takes a lot of work. AND…she has a great laugh! Keep it up and thank you!

I do genuinely like this podcast. Amy is a national treasure, and the guests are fun and interesting for the most part. However, this podcast feels like an exercise in “how many commercials can we possible get away with cramming in?”. I get it, it’s a business, and every podcast I listen to has commercials. But, this one crossed a line for me and I eventually unsubscribed because I was so annoyed. Maybe I’ll check back in the future to see if it’s calmed down a bit.

Amy is natural host and a joy. She knows everyone and they love each other. She is a highly informed host— she does her research. She is genuinely interested her guests, brings out the best in them. And she is a talented interviewer. She’s made for this format.

Amy’s joy is so infectious. This is my favorite podcast and helps me get through hard times. Amy, this is my elevator to lift me up. Also, have you considered inviting Sara Bareilles to the show? She’s hysterical and I think you would love her.
