This show has joined the list of “automatic download” sports podcasts on my phone — and it’s a short list of 2, when it comes to golf. (The other being “Fairway Rollin.”) I’ll check in on “The Fried Egg” during the 4 major weeks, and I’ll always listen to Scott Van Pelt after the Masters. But Rex & Lav are not just good reporters, but they’ve also become podcast “personalities” — by just being themselves. It also makes me more interested, whenever they do Golf Channel TV appearances. And last but not least: All Hail the new President, of the Golf Writer’s Association!

What is up with the audio balance? Lav is normal but Rex is so faint that you either have to not hear Rex or hurt your ears when Lav speaks.

I listen to the podcast regularly and this one is inconsistent, sometimes it’s interesting and sometimes it’s boring. It’s a hit or miss.

Listening to the podcast on the Hilton head tournament I disagree with the comments about the signature event after the masters I think that’s a perfect time for a signature event, coming off the masters you have a lot of folks interested in golf and great opportunity to carry the momentum. The worst thing that can happen is after a great golf tournament. People turn on golf the following week there are no top players playing and you can lose momentum. Hilton head is a great tournament always produces a great finish. Don’t change the field. It is good for golf.

That discussion with Andy from PGA seemed weird because he clearly isn’t a golf person, but obviously a corporate dude being brought in. Not sure he is much different than PIF running things.

No, the PGA of America didn’t get it right by defector invitations to the PGA championship. Tell the guys to earned their way properly through the world, golf rankings that they can’t play because there’s uninvited unqualified players now invited. People accepted, massive amounts of money to go play for Saudi Arabian Satanist and you guys are going to try to say that Golf needs them. No Golf does not need the defectors the PGA tour is the leading tour in the world. We don’t need people who leave.

WOKE Golf Channel is absolutely unwatchable but this is really good. I stumbled across it when Lavner was a guest on The Fried Egg pod awhile back. If they would cut out the useless chit-chat at the beginning of each episode, it would be 5 stars.

Lavner ,can you let Rex Hoggard finish a sentence ? Hard to listen to

Episodes consistently have echoes and other background noise. The December 8th episode was impossible to listen to with the mechanical squeaking in the background.

Best show to listen to grab a coffee, and catch up. They have a great angle approaching the news to where it’s user-friendly and understandable. The best mediocre team in podcast!!

Ive always enjoyed reading Rex and Ryan’s work but I’ve only recently discovered this podcast and I love this podcast! Great banter between Ryan and Rex as well. Btw the post major round pods have been great so far.

I just cannot stand the consistency argumentative style of this podcast. Can you agree on anything ? It is unbecoming of the sport and of the sponsor.

Golf Channel is a multi million dollar company. The audio sounds like a couple of kids living in their mom’s basement produced this. I don’t understand why they can’t fix this. I really enjoy the content but the horrible audio almost makes it impossible to listen to.

When you listen to this podcast with AirPods you can only hear you talk out of the left AirPod. I hear the music at the beginning and end out of both AirPods but not the entire show. This is the only podcast I listen to that this happens.

I like the show, it just sounds like you guys are 2 feet away from the mics. Harder to hear you guys be any other pods I listen to.

Rex, Will and the entire GC digital crew is top notch, just as they are in print and on broadcast. True Tour insiders with insight you can’t get elsewhere. Keep it up!

Club pro guy’s podcast is hilarious

Please fix the audio volume in your podcasts! The content is good but you sound like your recording it in a basement on an amateur microphone. Golf Channel and Will step up the audio volume quality and it will be five stars!!!

Some good content, but it’s so POORLY MIXED that you either have to barely hear it or risk having your ears blown off from a commercial after turning it up to a decent level during the podcast. COME ON GUYS.

This podcast is oddly recorded at a volume about 60% lower than just about every other podcast. I have to crank to almost 100% just to get it to normal volume. Love the content though.
