this is a great podcast. heath and daphne have great chemistry (they are married so that helps lol) and they have fun banter but always keep it 100% appropriate and respectful to the victims. can’t recommend enough

I really used to love this podcast. I like Heath and Daphne a lot and the way they present the cases. But for the last few months the ads have become unbearable. There are 2-3 minutes of ads at the beginning of the podcast and a painfully long 6-7 minutes of ads in the middle. That seems excessive during only a 40 minute episode.

Listen weekly and never disappoints! 10/10

I enjoy the stories, they seem to be fairly well researched. Only issue I really have is they tend to have a mocking tone at times or will make fun of appearances. It’s a little strange bully type behavior that we’ve become used to with the MAGA crowd. Otherwise it’s decent.

Daphne and Heath are great Podcasters. There are other podcasts where the hosts are just reading from a script. These two tell it like they were there. I just found this podcast this year and I have a lot to catch up on. Good job, guys!!!

I’ve listened for years, and in the last 2 years you covered cases that hit close to home. One was my family, another my classmate. Thank you for always belittling the POS’s who do this and for being real humans while addressing the victims like real humans. I appreciate all episodes, but especially the two women I knew and loved, you told their stories in the most respectful way.

Going West is a good podcast. There are parts where I feel like the cases aren’t being taken seriously enough. I would prefer more heavily researched facts and less banter.

I love all your episodes! This one hit me with the 911 call. I’m a 911 operator, and yes, each person can react differently to trauma. I have a very difficult time getting the basic info from people in crisis. His call, volunteering that she was shot twice in the head. It can take me 4-5 times of asking what part of the body someone was shot in, among other things, that really stood out.

Heath and Daphne are my favorite podcasters ever! I’ve been listening since the beginning and haven’t missed a single episode! They bring a great energy and dynamic to each episode and have the ability to keep me fully immersed (which is rare because I have big adhd lol). I love how they treat each case with respect, correlate their episodes with the seasons and months, as well as covering current cases too. They stand out because they really enjoy engaging with their listeners! Whether it’s hosting case discussion groups, sharing small things like Heath’s yearly birthday camping episodes, or big milestones like Daphne’s first ever book release, connecting with us is a nice addition to their work. Overall great people, wished we could be friends IRL! 100/10 recommend, Don’t be a stranger and subscribe to their bonus episodes too!

I like this podcast and have listened for years but I wish they would address diverse cases consistently. There are many black and brown families that could benefit from these platforms and their stories getting out. They do cover POC every now and then…

I used to love this podcast but now I just feel like you guys ramble on and on about pointless things. You guys sit and elaborate on the smallest most common sense things or go off into your little conversations with each other about your life’s way too much. Just stick to the story and the facts we don’t need ALL the personal opinions. Also you guys repeat yourselves quite a bit.. It’s just gotten hard to have on in the background and still follow along.. I hope I can come back to this podcast eventually. Really miss it.

Long time listener and I have some gripes but overall still one of my faves. But for the love of god if you don’t have 45 minutes of material why try to make a 45 minute episode. Do two mini episodes that add up to 45 minutes if you’re trying to fulfill your contract. The last episode sounded exactly like me trying to 3 pages into a 5 page essay in college (before chat gpt existed of course) lol

Excessive swearing is not “clean.” Pretending this is a clean podcast is DISHONEST! Swearing is the last attempt of a feeble mind trying to express itself.

Heath and Daphne are amazing storytellers. I’ve been listening to them since the beginning. I get a real high pulling up the app and realizing I have a new GW episode to listen to! My all time favorite podcast.

I always know when I listen to Going West they will give a very thorough story of the crime. They not only do older true crime but current stories too. They do an amazing job keeping us abreast.

I came across this podcast in 2021 and even though I previously hadn’t been a true crime listener, I was so drawn in by the storytelling. It soon became my “travel” podcast as I got caught up on the catalog backlog, and since then have listened every week… this is the only podcast I’ve done that with. So good, thanks for all your work you two!

A friend recommended Daphne and Heath years ago, it’s been my favorite podcast ever since!

I started listening to this podcast about 3-4 Years ago when my cousin recommended a certain episode. I was hooked. Started from the beginning and I love listening every Tuesday and Friday to get my day started!! Y’all are in my Top 3 MySpace picks!

I happened across this podcast over a year ago and continue to love listening! Daphne and Heath have good conversation and do wonderful research! Their shows seem respectful to victims and families while also being respectfully entertaining. Keep it up, Daphne and Heath!

The last several episodes have had commercials breaks that are 7 minutes or more. That’s insane and miserable to listen to, or even try to skip through. Also, please stop yelling into your mics. The older episodes are better because you’re both so much calmer.

About to unfollow because of the SUPER ANNOYING Google Pixel advertisement. So stupid. Nobody talks like that, and if they do I don’t want to know them. Barf.

I look forward to every Tuesday and Friday to catch the new episodes. Heath and Daphne are easily in my top 5 for crime podcasts. I normally prefer content from women only (sorry) but I love Heath!

Really enjoy the podcast but the ads are a bit much. 2-3 minutes of ads to start the episode as well as long stretches in the middle of the episode.

I really enjoy the delivery you both have each episode. I like that you guys touch on the new cases, admittedly knowing all the facts aren’t there.

I subscribe and listen to this podcast regularly. Sometimes their speculation makes me crazy because they’ll give a lot of personal opinions that don’t really have anything to do with the story.

It’s hard to focus on a story when there is a 5 minute long ad break in the middle of the episode. Would be nice if you spaced them out, or put them all at the beginning or end of the episode.

The first true crime podcast I stumbled on around when Gabby Petito went missing. I’ve been hooked ever since. I love the way they tell a story, great personalities, they sound like naturals! Also love that they don’t mix politics in it.

Because some of these cases, keep you up at night! I live down the street and grew up in nokesville va, by Shane Donahue. Seeing the sign in his moms yard breaks your heart. That family has seen so much tragedy and misfortune. That was my 1st time listening to ur podcast, and I knew I found my people!!!
