I absolutely loathe the commute to work on my in-office days, but knowing a new episode of Give It To Me Straight is dropping makes me actually look forward to getting on the road. Alex and Jon feel like old friends, and their mix of hilarious banter and genuine love for each other always makes my day. So so so glad they’re back, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them personally and professionally!

I truly appreciate this conversation. As someone who leans more towards John’s response when it comes to grief, I think people need to hear these things. Especially the ‘everything happens for a reason’ or ‘they’re in a better place’ crowd. The way people are so tone deaf when loss occurs is crazy. I’ve been surrounded by people who haven’t experienced traumatic loss and I’ve endured a lot of it, and it’s pretty eye opening. Anyways, I’m happy to hear you are both in a place where you can have candid conversations about such tough topics. 🤍

I had originally started listening to you guys this past July when my anxiety started to increase again. I’ve had so many changes occur in my life since then, increasing my anxiety and feeling so uncomfortable with change. But you guys have been a constant in my days, making me laugh and also giving me confidence to accept change and power through it. Started from the first episode and only have about 20 left until I’m caught up! You guys are the bomb.org and I wish you all the happiness!!!!

Over the course of the last few months, I have begun listening to Give it to Me Straight, and I have absolutely fallen in love with this podcast and Alex and Jon! In fact, I have officially listened to every single episode. They are so funny, to the point where I literally laugh out loud, so real, and just overall incredible humans. Their podcast is very entertaining, and it puts a smile on my face on difficult days. When I heard about the loss of their son, Leo, my heart broke for them. I’ve been praying for them, and I hope they can find peace during this time. So thankful for these people!

My husband and I listen to this during dinner (to drown out his gross chewing noises lol). We enjoy listening to your advice and hearing your banter. Thinking of you as you navigate this tough time.

Last year I went through a traumatic event that really messed me up. As part of my healing journey at the beginning of this year I made a goal to laugh more.
