How to become more competent in EMS
These guys make learning and becoming a much better competent EMT fun. They talk about the most interesting calls and give the best feedback.

These guys make learning fun and comical. Great personalities to match a field that shouldn’t be boring when getting taught. Laugh as you learn.

All levels need to listen
Began listening while in AEMT school after 3 years as a EMT, Lost it for a bit, now back as a Paramedic 3 years later and absolutely love it. Their approach to EMS has helped me out on many occasions and more than once I’ve thought “what would Chris or Spencer do?”. Cannot express enough thanks to these two for what they’ve done.

Love this podcast!
I am not in the healthcare field but always wanted to be. Recently am going through a health issue and had to have spinal cord surgery with a 5 day hospital stay. Recently wanted to know if a medical podcast exists and found you. Went back to the beginning and listening forward. Very much enjoying it. Thanks for doing the podcast!

Such a great show
This is my favorite EMS podcast. Keeps you learning and thinking. The dice roll is the most accurate part of the whole thing.

Thank You!
I’m getting ready to take an EMT class in PA and have been trying to immerse myself in all things EMS beforehand. I came across your podcast on a Reddit search for resources that helped others study for EMT so I followed that lead! It’s been such a blessing. I enjoy learning, the stories, and the banter between you both. Thank you for taking the time to do this!

Great calls, Good show for those who want long explanations
Enjoy the calls and Spencer, but needs a lot less of Chris over explaining…comes off like he’s trying to constantly show off. Need a better balance between educating listeners and just talking AT them.

Too long
I’m always looking for EMS education. I kept this on my feed for awhile but I had to delete because your shows are just too long. I don’t have an hour plus to listen. I’ve found other shows that keep episodes a half hour or less. The banter is ok for a few minutes but dang, it’s gets old and long after a few episodes.

As a 68W/Med Tech/dispatcher…
Love the banter, love the information and the presentation of it all. Repeated episodes, isn’t repetition the key? Thanks for getting me through 68W school.

Came for the educational material, binged for the banter. Very relatable podcast.

Educational
Absolutely love the cases sent in. As an Aemt in a rural area, we are not as busy as bigger city areas. Hearing treatments given or missed is educational more than any textbook. I look forward to every new segment

Entertaining and Educational
The only podcast I have ordered merchandise for. I’m waiting every Wednesday for a new episode. I’ve learned so much just from listing to Chris and the guy that hates Arizona Teas.
SPEEDINGemoKIDD
I am just beginning my course into being a emt with no prior medical training
This podcast is perfect for general notes that help put me ahead of the game I love this podcast

Great EMS podcast
I’ve gained a lot from this podcast as a new EMT. Thanks for sharing your experience! The one down side is I don’t appreciate all the swearing. It feels a little over done.

Best educational show
I am writing this review on my way in to run a double code. Peanut butter spider sandwich in one hand and phone in the other. Obviously I left my airway kit behind so I could write this plus it’s just way too heavy. After sliding on black ice I completely missed a spider bite on a methy patient on the last call because he was obviously in V tach. Honestly this is my favorite show. I’m an EMT who listened to this show throughout my EMT program and crushed the course and had conversations with the instructors that went way over my fellows students heads because of the knowledge I gained just listening to EMS 20/20. I’m currently listening to the entire catalogue for the fourth time. Please never stop making this podcast.

Great info and delivery
I love the call scenarios and the animated manner in how they are delivered. Lots of valuable info and tips.

Entertaining and Educational
I’m a ED RN, so it gives a me a good idea of what’s happening/should be happening before patients get to me. And these guys are hilarious, so it’s very easy to listen. I’ve given report to Chris a couple times. He’s a real swell dude.

An education in every episode
I am an EMT instructor at a regional high school. I learn something with every episode I listen to.. thanks for presenting great cases and providing great content.

Love!
My husband is a firefighter/EMT & we love listening together. Sometimes it’s hard for him to talk about calls with me but this has really opened that door for us. He is hoping to get his medic soon and this podcast has peaked his interest even more.

10/10
I’ve been listening to Chris and Spencer since the beginning. Found them at the beginning of EMT school, and still listening as I’m finishing up Medic school. Love everything that these guys stand for. Authentic, educated, and fun. I’ve learned so much about EMS just from this podcast alone. So, I thank you!

One of the Best
I started listening in EMT school. The way they present calls and break down the clinical reason behind everything is one of the big reasons I passed my psychomotor testing for medical and trauma evals. Not only informative but it's a fun listen too.
Nick_Bandicoot
great listen all the time!
I have been a CNA for 11 years, almost 12. I also am a RMA and just recently a emt & I about LOVE listening to your show. ANYDAY no matter my mood, sad & crying or laughing & smiling. Chris and Spencer can always turn my day around and make me laugh or realize that maybe my day is not that bad after all. Not to mention I learn so much!!!! It’s funny to me that when my non medical friends listen they look at me so confused on why I’m laughing or sometimes what you are saying & explaining medical stuff to people really just makes my day, I used to tutor in middle school for the health teacher & that’s even I found my love for the medical field. I would give you both 10 stars if I could, keep being awesome & thank you for being you 🩵

Knowledgeable & hysterically comical!!
I work in healthcare as a Respiratory Therapist Extern finishing my RRT (in April!!), so not unfamiliar with the medical world. I wanted a podcast to listen to, and a Paramedic friend said EMS 20/20. Chris and Spencer not only break down real life pre-hospital calls, but they explain medical procedures, A&P, anything for anyone, medical background or not, to be able to understand. And with flare! They are always sassing each other, having me laughing so hard on my commute to/from work & school. I hope this continues, for I will continue to listen in every Wednesday!

So many “uh”s
What on earth is happening in “hypothesis for hypotension” where one of the podcasters is saying “uh” almost every third word?! It is remarkably bad. I hope they edit the episode to remove all the “uh”s so that I can find out what happens because I had to turn it off. I’m so glad this isn’t happening in every episode.

Best EMS Podcast Out There
I’ve tried out a lot of EMS podcasts and this one is the perfect fit for me. These guys dive deep into high level concepts as well as explain simple concepts so no one get’s confused and left behind. They provide a great educational resource all while keeping the content entertaining and engaging.
BorderRatEMS
Very educational and helpful
This is hands down one of my favorite podcasts. As a newer EMT, I’ve found it super helpful for learning strategies for how to approach calls or tricky dynamics with patients, as well as reinforcing and building on top of clinical knowledge. I’ve used much of the advice on actual calls, and they come in really handy! Whether you’re an EMT, paramedic, or outside of EMS, this is a great way to learn, and I’m super glad to have found this!

Learning and laughs
I’ve been listening since I first started in EMS and have gleaned so much knowledge from these guys. Episodes are funny and lighthearted while still filled with tons of valuable information that I have used in the field. Here’s to hoping they carry me through paramedic school 🤞🏽

Educational entertainment at it’s finest
Learned a lot from these guys. They present information in a digestible, entertaining way. For those who grow irritable about tangents and swearing, you don’t sound like fun people to be around. There’s plenty of dry, informative, NPR style podcasts out there I’m sure you would love. What’s the point of putting a product out there that you don’t enjoy making? The way these guys present remind me of every great provider I’ve gotten to ride with. Thanks for having fun with it guys.

I have no idea what they are talking about!!!!
I’m not an EMT, I’m not someone who is going to school for any of those sorts of things, heck I build houses for a living. I listen to this podcast every single day though! It has peaked my interest in this field of work. I love it! I have learned so much even if I don’t know all the terms. If I ever became an EMT or paramedic of some sort, I would walk in so confidently knowing that I had EMS 20/20’s information on my side. I’m sure for the people who are in the field, this is really useful information! Keep up the good work guys! Hope you guys get to read this!

This podcast the perfect mixture of knowledge and light hearted fun
Ems 20/20 is a amazing podcast for multiple reason but I really enjoy how humble they are about there vast knowledge of emergency medicine. This is the podcast you learn 1-2 “pieces” of knowledge to throw into your treatment plan puzzle while also laughing till you can’t breath this is my favorite podcast in emergency medicine due to being able to listen to a episode without having to pause it multiple times to understand the topics to the depth of other podcast in emergency medicine do.

It’s a Yep For Me!
I cannot recommend this podcast more enthusiastically. I’ve spammed people with some of my favorite episodes so far and will continue to do so. I’m not in the human medical care field, but the guys do such an awesome job of being able to inform and entertain a broad range of listeners. Moreover, they offer educational opportunities and feedback for so many of those amazing people serving our communities in this capacity. Solid info, great resources, super fun presentation, humbly human hosts and a wild ride every episode; what’s not to love?!

Will recommend this podcast to anyone
I am a newish ER nurse that has never done anything prehospital. I started listening to this show before I even started in the ER and it has given me such a profound understanding and respect for the things paramedics and EMTs have to deal with. I will never forgot when I was in my first month working in the ER, I had a hypothermic patient that had J waves on their EKG and the doctor started to tell me what they were and how rare they were and I told him I had learned about them from a podcast called EMS 2020

Great but annoying
I am a Medic/ FF, 5 years exp. (Working 48’s and 72’s consistently since I first started) I teach a Medic and EMT classes at the college. Well rounded all around even though I’m not perfect. I really enjoy listening to these podcast because they are Highly educational. My biggest issue is the rambling and constantly going off topic. Not many people just have 2 hours to sit there and listen about the last peanut butter and jelly sandwich you had. I love the show but if all possible please stay on topic with less unnecessary interruptions. Me and my students pretty much agree on this and it hurts the captivity. Otherwise great job, glad to have found out about y’all

I am not in the EMS field but have a boyfriend that is and I have found this podcast to be so informative when he is talking about things that have happened in his daily work life! Thank you so much for being full of information and funny while doing so. Love the nicknames!!!

So close yet so far from a 5
These guys are great 9/10 if you listen to the episode you will learn something that makes you a better clinician other times they each forget to bring more then one Brain cell each and those two cells get into an argument over who is in 3rd place (ah la beating the theme and puns to absolute death and forgetting it’s an ems podcast). All in all I love the show I love listening and learning from you guys keep in up!

So sick
I’m an experienced EMS provider and now a nursing student. Every single episode drop always contributes in some way directly to my studies as well as keeps me current on all things EMS so that my skills can stay sharp. They are the ultimate study buddies and it really helps that they are not boring at all.

Great
You 2 are great. As a Paramedi, Paramedic instructor, EMS-I, and working towards FP-C, listening to you 2 remind me there are others in this service that are alike. It is also my #1 “must listen” to for medic students as well. Keep up the great work.

ive said it before and ill say it again, this podcast is amazing ❤️. they deliver the calls in such an easy to digest way, i absorb so much information. everyone in these reviews seems to be an emt, paramedic, or someone studying to be one, but dawg, im in high school and i love it so much. ems 20/20 weeks are my favorite, to the point where i go up to my mom every other wednesday and i’m like “MOM, IT’S THE OTHER WEDNESDAY :DDD” and i have to re-explain it to her every other week. i love this podcast so much, i will always be a huge supportwer for it. i love the silliness, the references, the rants, the information, everything is amazing :) keep doing what you’re doing cuz its great 👍 :) -jesi :]

Entertaining
Just recently found this show and I really enjoy the format of going over calls that weren’t the best. I enjoy the process of hearing the evolution of the call as presented and hearing the thoughts of the hosts as they work through the information. One of my two or three favorites I listen to in the EMS field.

Truly a Gem
I was looking for something to hyperfixate on when I need to clean or listen to on my commute to and from work and boy did you guys deliver. Chris and Spencer somehow manage to deliver wide and valuable knowledge in a way that makes my audhd brain tingle in just the right way. I have learned so much from listening to these guys, they feel like EMS big brothers in the best way possible. Thank you for the content that you put out, you have a dedicated listener in me!

Easy Listening
I’ve listened to multiple EMS podcasts, but from the first episode, you guys have had me hooked. I’m pretty sure it’s because nothing is candy coated; if the provider did something you guys don’t agree with, you call it out. As someone who has been in EMS for many years, these episodes are easy to follow. And you guys explain terms that a civilian wouldn’t understand with ease! Thanks for making my many hour long drives to work more tolerable!

Snapping necks
I never made it into your show because I couldn’t stand the stupid banter. This could be an informative podcast but you sound like middle schoolers.
Bond44!!
Great show!
As an ER nurse I believe that it would be beneficial for ER nurses to do ride alongs with EMS. It would give a good perspective that is not seen in the hospital (and maybe make it less of a pain to hand off report). This podcast is a glimpse of that for me! I really appreciate it!

Great show!!!!
Thanks guys, Love this Podcast!! We’ve needed something like this for a long time. I’m a Critical Care Paramedic and have on the job for 26 years all together. My current service runs about 14 ALS trucks 24/7. I think you’ve hit the head with doing a QA/QI podcast. I’ve actually leaned several points and have changed my practice due to several of your thoughts. Thank you again!!!!

Best show in the field
Big thanks to Christopher and Spencer for this podcast. It has helped me immensely. They’re very knowledgeable and just a blast to listen to. Chris and Spencer not only provide good clinical knowledge but they also provide street smarts that can’t be found in our textbook. I’m very grateful. Thanks gents!
