It’s unfortunate that you turned the show into a session of pontificating on American politics. Please understand that a major majority of the country are not misogynist, as you implied in the episode I heard. Please have some respect for the other considerations that drive people’s decisions. Don’t be so reductive, it’s embarrassing. Overall, lo quality podcast where the creator just complains about Elon.

Used to love it. Now it feels like listening to someone complain about their ex every week. So if you like to listen to a guy gripe about a grudge for an hour once a week, this is for you. Truly disappointing. I like them but can’t stand how they suck the excitement out of everything that is good with their grudge. He just said that “musk would dribble down money to everyone and we know that does not work from Reagan”. Really? Have you seen the 1980s economy? Seen a president people actually liked even years later? What is your expertise on economics? Are you threatening us with the longest sustained economic growth in history? Does the host realize Canada’s (where he is) economy has been falling vs the United States to the point where the Canada economy is the same as Mississippi. For this show, musk has darkened everything and so show feels it must darken everything for us. So, I am out after a long time.

Great website, dreadful podcast. I’ve listened to a number of podcasts talking about EVs. This one is unlistenable. Boring, droning, pompous host. The website is one of the better EV news sites around.

This used to be an interesting podcast but has become increasingly difficult to listen to. Fred has become increasingly negative most of the time and really fancies himself an expert on all things EV. Combine this with his constant butchering of the English language and it’s laughable at times. Then add in Seth who rarely has anything intelligent to add and I wonder why he’s even on the podcast. He often makes incorrect statements and adds zero value to the show. A rethink to your combined approach is long overdue.

I for the most part enjoy this show, yes it can be Tesla heavy and a bit negative towards Elon and Tesla but the fact remains that without Elon and Tesla none of this exist. My problem is Seth constantly coughing into the microphone. It is very difficult to listen to when you hear people mid sentence just unapologetically cough into a microphone which is 10x worse and louder when I am listening via headphones. So Seth please get a cough button or drink some water or tea. Thank you.

I am a longtime EV enthusiast, and a few years ago was subscribing to three different EV podcasts. Although the Elektrek podcast was glitchy and inconsistent at that time, I decided to stick with it, and unfollow the other two. I am glad I did. Fred and Seth have really stepped it up over the last year or two, and I don’t feel that I need to listen to anything else on the EV front. Elektrek coverage is pretty complete. The hosts come across as honest, engaging, and very knowledgeable on all things EV. One thing I especially like about Fred and Seth is that they are so unpretentious, and make you feel like you could easily sit down with them over a coffee or beer, and talk for hours about anything going on the EV world. Although their show wasn’t worthy of a five-star review a few years ago, it certainly is now. They’ve earned it, and they keep getting better.

The constant negativity is incredible from this podcast towards Tesla. We get it, the liberal media wants you hating Elon.

Very fair and unbiased reviews and discussions of all EVs. These guys are early adopters of Tesla vehicles and still own Tesla vehicles and would love to see Tesla succeed in helping to move the EV industry forward. Entertaining, honest, and inciteful

This very informative podcast does a weekly summary of EV news. There are so many new models coming out, I don’t know how someone could stay on top of it without this podcast. Their adorations and criticisms are well-reasoned and honest.

It’s refreshing to hear a podcast about EVs that isn’t run by Elon sycophants or hosts that want to avoid the uncomfortable Tesla realities.

Solid and objective insight provided into what’s happening in the world of electric vehicles. Tells it as it is concerning Tesla and Elon - neither a hater nor a lover. A must listen for people wanting reliable and dispassionate information about electric vehicles.

These two guys are good at pointing out the good AND the bad in the industry. They also have a ton of in-depth knowledge and insight.

Generalizes a few instances to “THE SKY IS FALLING!!!” One viral video of a coal roller & they state all coal rollers align with Tesla. Or there’s fires by vandals & they state all US Tesla dealerships are on fire. They say Elon/Trump/Bondi blames Democrats without any evidence but since it’s under investigation there might be proof but not released to the public. Don’t get me started when they bring up J6. These guys are sipping the Blue/Mass Media Kool-Aid. I listen to podcasts so I don’t have to listen to the news.

Update: Still my favorite EV podcast but I’m listening more to others because Electrek’s Tesla focus is getting boring. Other companies are doing way more interesting and forward thinking stuff. Less Elon antics/arguing and more about what’s next from everybody else! Get some insider knowledge about what’s next from Kia/MB/BMW/Ford! Still, it’s the best EV podcast out there. I’ve listened for several years and have built a routine around each new episode. Fred and Seth are rational voices every week and I respect their honesty and integrity.

This podcast used to deliver news in an unbiased fashion. Seems they have developed a serious dislike of Elon Musk which clearly impacts their reporting. Apparently Fred believes because he previously owned a few shares of Tesla it gives him license to tilt almost all reporting of Tesla negative. Seth love to cut Rivian slack and beat up on Tesla at every turn. They need to keep their bias in check if they want to consider themselves ‘journalists’.

This show has become too focused on politics instead of electric cars. I understand people have political views but this show used to be a lot better before they got too obsessed with Musk and Trump.

I used to really enjoy this podcast but recently it feels like the whole show is talking about how bad Tesla is doing and projecting how bad they will likely keep doing. I had hoped it would be an objective view on EV’a but it is clear the show is heavily politicized now and not worth listening to.

I enjoy listening to the podcast - the hosts provide insightful and timely information about EV topics. The episodes feel like a conversation with a knowledgeable friend. I highly recommend listening if you’re interested in the topics surrounding EVs.

great Idea to have people post questions here for the Podcast. However I'm pretty sure one can only leave one review per podcast. So thus Limiting one to a single question. You really need a way on your website to submit questions for the podcast.

Listened for years but has become unbearable lately. I get that you’re disappointed with Elon, upset about Tesla governance and pessimistic about FSD, but let it go. Talk less about Tesla if you need to but maintain a focus on the electric energy transition. No need to spend time on DOGE or American politicians.

Followed it basically from the first episode. Got now unbearable since Fred divested from Tesla - please come back to EVs and being balanced… no connection whatsoever between Elon’s speech at inauguration with EVs or solar energy. “Battery included” and “Out of spec” are now the go-to podcasts for me. Sad.

Usually good and a fun talk about fun cars on the cutting edge. BUT! Way too much extremely boring Tesla stuff, Elon Musk is dead to me after sicing internet mobs on so many reporters, scientists, and ordinary trans people. Especially now that he bought the government for a mob boss rubber-stamping extreme white-nationalist fundamentalist-Christian attacks on our American Constitution all day long.

Sadly this podcast which I have been listening to since 2017 has become painful to listen to. Fred has become obsessed in every podcast with everything and anything he can find fault with Elon Musk and Tesla. Do they have their faults? Of course. Being a pioneer one helping to save the planet is not easy. Seth’s consistent responses of I don’t know, maybe, could be, we will see is dull at best. Good bye. 🥲

I appreciate any and all podcasts that cover news and information honestly and in an even-handed way. However, there’s no reason for the information they cover to take as long as they do. The pauses, the digressions, and the side jokes, distract and frankly waste your listeners time. Listen to EV News daily for how to cover everything you do in 1/3 or 1/4 of the time. I’m sure I’m not the only person who would like to listen to your podcast but get frustrated with the chaff.

Great up to date EV information and industry insights

This is where I get all my electric vehicle news, I would say it’s fair and balanced, but Fox News usurped that term to mean “alternative facts”

Looks like you’ve gone full Elon Derangement. Tesla is a disaster and everything is on fire because Elon started tweeting? Get rid of your bias and get back to the facts.

Extreme anti-Tesla reporting is getting old. 100% of things talked about regarding Tesla are negative now and Fred finishes every negative comment about Tessa with a slight giggle. Showing how much he personally wishes Tesla to fail. He even insinuated they would fail, and then when a commenter pointed that out he tried to deny it. Yet he truly insinuated Tesla likely to fail in the coming years. I personally love all electric cars and the electric industry and that’s what I started listening 4-5 years ago. But this past year I’ll I hear is how much Fred dislikes Elon and wishes an entire company ill will because of one man who he disagrees politically with.

Sadly, Has become an anti EV podcast. Hoping they change. Was once a great podcast.

Don’t waste your time. Disappointed in how these two hosts focus episode after episode on Elon. Every episode is about Elon and not electric vehicles and other products. The opinions of Elon has affected the hosts ability to run a productive and exciting show. This used to be a great podcast for many years. Now this is simply a political driven show. There are many better podcasts on EVs. This is not news.

Thank you for bringing a lot of rationality and personal experience to the topic. But please increase the voice audio level. All other podcasts and videos and driving directions have voices that are considerably louder than yours.

This duo seems to have an inside track on what is and what’s coming in the EV universe. Pretty casual presentation, but they do serious research. If you’re into EV‘s, Electrek is the place to click.

Very informational

I do enjoy the show and listen to it frequently but I would prefer the few occasions you talk about it do yourself a favor and keep on topic. Latest episode they specifically say they are not going to talk about politics but a few minutes later the criticisms began. Disappointing they chose to slam politicians as opposed to focusing on how their policies impact the EV market.

Greatly appreciate the frank and honest discussion regarding the divergence of Musk and the mission. Would relish regular segments devoted to emerging energy density tech and who is incorporating into their production (eg, Rivian’s 46xx cell).

Came for news about the EV industry. Saddened by the fact that all these guys ever seem to talk about is their hatred for Elon Musk. Shouldn’t there be more to discuss?
