Content Great, but can’t see older podcasts
Content is 5/5– great for step 3 review as a pediatrician who forgot all of adult medicine. Accessing old content is the only reason this isn’t 5 stars. It’s really that annoying is you can’t access the old episodes via the podcast app. Instead, you have to go to the website. So much of the old content is still totally applicable, but it’s too cumbersome to access on a regular basis if you like to mix this in with other podcasts

Love this podcast!
Been using this podcast to do my studying while I’m out running or going on adventures (I hate sitting down at a library studying). Divine is awesome! Love that he emphasizes pathophysiology and understanding, as opposed to blind memorization.

Much needed Christian
It’s so refreshing to have such helpful USMLE advice to be given by a fellow follower of Christ.

Divine is the Best!
Always such good medical integrations. Also, very funny at times (though I’m not sure if that’s intentional). Don’t listen to that other guy’s review, keep mocking Anki and the other silly things med students do. It’s hilarious and so real. If you can’t laugh at yourself sometimes, then you’ve got no sense of humor! Thank you for all of the help! I don’t know how I would get through step 2 studying without you!

good but miss the old Divine
such great information and really helpful but I wish you wouldn’t do the mocking voice of things med students memorize. It’s like nails on a chalkboard! trust that people are trying their best!

So Clutch
For whatever reason, the way Divine presents the info sticks in my head! I can hear him saying “I hope you’re thinking xyz” when I read a vignette. Best resource for reviewing HY concepts. I started listening again a few months before Step 3 and I’m SO grateful. Thank you, Divine!!

I love this podcast and find Divine very endearing 🥲 it helps me learn concepts that I previously tried to mediocrely (idk if that’s a word lol) memorize and that’s very satisfying!!!

Ok
Too many ads about different courses / not efficient use of podcast time High yield but also not comprehensive Disorganized structure A lot of tangents in one topic

Incredible podcast
I’m an M2 and even though the podcasts are targeted towards studying for Step 2-3, I’ve found that the vast majority of the content on this podcast has been helpful towards better understanding and integrating Step 1 content as well. This is also the only podcast I’m aware of that is both free and comprehensive for the content covered on NBME exams. And as much as I love Dr. Ryan, Dirty Medicine, etc. Divine’s voice is much more mellow and nice to listen to. The life lessons are nice too. 6/5 podcast. I get that some people don’t like the self promotion at the beginning at the end of the show, but the guy has got to make a living. He is not a charity! If you don’t want to listen to it, it’s very easy to skip the first minute or two of the show and then click “played” once you get to the last few minutes and move on to the next one.

So useful for STEP studying!
Love listening to Divine as I do chores, drive, or go to the gym. He’s got a great way of explaining information and making connections between systems and disease processes. His vignette style of explanation is super useful for STEP questions, and I also really appreciate his life lessons. Definitely worth the time to listen. Thank you, Divine!

So glad I was told about this podcast! It’s helped me soooo much to prepare for Step 1. Will definitely use it for future board exams as well. This med student thanks you! 🙌🏾

Thank you for filling in the gaps!
This podcast is gold! Divine does a great job connecting concepts and filling in knowledge gaps. Also, I find that he covers a lot of material in a short amount of time; which is great considering that I listen to this podcast when I generally wouldn’t be studying while driving in the car or working out. Thank you for what you are doing to enhance the education of medical students/trainees!

Too much Self-Advertising
Overall, the content is quite helpful and is useful. The problem is that every episode has 1.5-3 minutes of self-advertising at the beginning and 2-5 minutes at the end. This is reallllly annoying to listen to every time. My recommendation, Divine - do a quick 20-30 second blurb EITHER at the end or beginning of your podcast - give us your website, put it in the show notes, or something else. But the constant “this is my course, lots of people get good scores, sign up here, here’s another testimonial” in each episode is a bit too much.

Just listen
We all agree. Studying medicine is both rewarding but yet extremely tiresome and stressful. The stress of doing well on board exams to continue our careers makes it no easier. But whether you’re driving in your car, walking to the subway or working out you can still get great quality knowledge by listening to this guy. He may seem dense at first but once you give him a chance you’ll fall in love. He breaks down pathologies like you’ve never understood before and gives you great tips for tackling NBME styled questions and as an even bonus just great life tips. Great to listen to for the average medical student.

So helpful!
I’m so grateful to medical podcasts…👏 I’ve listened to few of Divine’s and I love the way he takes time in explaining the topics and tying into how usmle would ask their questions! Thank you!!🙌🙌

Thank you!!
I listened to Divine during my step2 studying last year. I would go on walks or errands and listen to his high yields. I ended up scoring in the top 3%. Thank you so much Divine! You’re amazing.

Amazing podcast, amazing man
I have listened to many step 1 podcasts and this one is by far my favorite. Divine really explains WHY things are the way they are, emphasizing the physiology and pathology so it’s easy to remember the “high yield”. The guy also transmits compassion and seems to really care about us becoming good doctors and about us doing well on these exams and believing in ourselves. Thank you for being you Divine. You are doing God’s work by serving others and sharing love and kindness.

The High-Yield Hero
Divine is an incredibly intelligent individual who breaks high yield facts into bite-sized podcasts for studying on the go. Some of my clinical sites are over an hour from my house, and with Divine’s podcast series, I’m able to turn that time into valuable study time. Also, the google spreadsheet on his website makes it easy to pick out podcasts that are most relevant to my rotation. Divine is awesome. I’ve had the pleasure to learn from some of the same teachers as Divine, who unanimously agree that Divine is both kind, and an incredibly motivated doctor. Thanks again for this free and incredibly high yield study tool. Humbly, A very, very grateful MS3

Divine is my podcasting hero
Divine, your content is excellent. As a fellow podcaster, I am impressed by your work and dedication. I came across your content based on the recommendation of a listener. You should come on the InsideTheBoards for the USMLE podcast. We’d love to interview you and promote this high quality, high yield, high octane content. God bless the work of your hands, er, I mean, voice ;) Patrick C. Beeman, MD Founder and Chief Question Officer InsideTheBoards for the USMLE, COMLEX, and Med School

divine. I love you.
This guy is like your fav upper classmate from med school trying to give you the inside scoop on what’s going to be tested on your upcoming exam. He is wise. I started listening to his podcast pretty late in my preparation, and I wish I had started sooner. The concepts he mentions are absolutely relevant to solving NBME and UW questions. It’s a great review, and a great supplement resource. I literally have this playing as I drive, shower, fall asleep, get ready for the day, do dishes etc... divine, the new goljan.

My name is Devine. I’m a resident.
This guy is an exam guru. He really understands the material and makes it simple. Listening to him, I think he has taken all the shelf and step practice exams because he hits on those obscure but high-yield test concepts.

The road to 250
These podcasts saved my butt for both USMLE Step 1 and Step 2. Best review content out there for the boards, hands down. Because of this podcast (and vodcast), I was able to score above 250 on Step 1 and then 270 on Step 2. Please continue to do what you do Divine!!!

Right?
The audio is quite garbled at times, and I think he used “right?” at the end of his sentence 137 times in one recording.

THE ABSOLUTE BEST FOR STEP 2CK
These podcasts are the absolute best for Step 2CK. Want the highest score you could possibly get? Listen to these podcasts while shopping, cooking, showering, commuting, etc. Packed with the most high yield information you could ask for - and Divine keeps it enjoyable.

Aside from his 100% high-yield podcasts, I love hearing the life lesson at the end of each episode. This is a man who walks in excellence in every area of his life. Highly recommend to anyone studying for USMLE exams. ALSO!!! He is an amazing tutor. Like, AMAZING. Just a hint for anyone who’s not getting it; his name is DIVINE-FAVOUR. Do I need to say more? God has blessed him.

Best audio resource for USMLE exams!!
Divine saved me on test day!!! I learned so much from this podcast only wish I had it during MS3!!! So many high yield review points for my Step2CK exam. Thank you so much!!!

Great for M3
Right now the best podcast for Step 2 CK and clinical science NBME shelves. A true successor to the famous E. Goljan’s lectures (Kaplan) for Step 1. People should read Divine’s post on reddit r/step2 for a guide on which podcasts to listen to for which goal they have (Step 2 vs NBME Shelf), as these podcasts are more like a library rather than a feed/show.
