Started listening and I was immediately hooked! The stories are absolutely wonderful! I love true crime and paranormal stories so this is a great podcast! Keep it up!

The narrators are corny and this just isn’t scary🤷🏻‍♀️

I honestly think this podcast is really interesting. Even though the voices are sometimes overly dramatic I still think it’s a pretty scary and I listen to this a lot. Please keep making episodes!! Thanks!

This used to be the best pod ever. I listened to it every night but know the voices are so annoying and loud. Still listen to it some times tho.

This used to be a genuinely interesting podcast, and while it sometimes still is, the narrating has gone WAY down hill. Terra Ashe is impossible to listen to as everything she says is so unnecessarily exaggerated and it just makes me mad when Hannah Robertson tries to do a British(?) accent. Adam c. Alderson has a very awful and starchy voice and honestly the host needs to stop trying so hard. Good stories, bad narrators.

Listening to this i often hear the same stories I do wanna let’s not meet podcast… When I go to a different podcast I expect fresh stuff and new stories but I’m not assuming that they got permission from the element podcast to record these of course stay on public Reddit but at the end, a lot of the narrators do say “let’s not meet “or something like “I hope we don’t meet again “it’s a complete knock off of let’s not meet. Miss the old narrator.

I don’t know if the host of this podcast realizes it or not.. but pretty much all of the stories narrated from Reddit have already been read on another podcast called Let’s Not Meet. The stories were literally written SPECIFICALLY for the LNM podcast. That’s why most of the stories end with “let’s never meet again”, “you better hope we never meet again”, or some variant of “let’s not meet”. It’s very disappointing because I went to one of the first episodes of THIS podcast and three minutes in I knew how the story was going to end. I was hoping that I had found a new podcast to binge listen to. Even the most recent episodes (April 2025) have stories that have already been read on the Let’s Not Meet podcast. Like I said, I’m unsure if the host/creator of this podcast is aware that they are plagiarizing the Let’s Not Meet podcast. The LNM podcast has been around for YEARS so most of these stories were told before this podcast even started. It would be truly awful if they are aware and continue doing it anyway. It makes the scary voice sound even more corny. PLEASE COME UP WITH YOUR OWN, ORIGINAL content. Be authentic. STOP reading stories from Reddit or find a new Reddit thread to get stories from. Listen to the LNM podcast to be sure the story hasn’t already aired there because the thread you are boosting these stories from is specifically for the LNM podcast. If a story ends with some variation of “let’s not meet” or even mentions the word “meet” then it was written for the Let’s Not Meet podcast. I truly hope you guys are not knowingly republishing these stories. Like.. “oh well, they’re on Reddit so we can read them on our podcast if we want”. It’s slimy and gross to copy another person’s work.

This show use to be one of my favorites. I haven’t heard a new episode nor original story in MONTHS!!! What happened? At this point, just stop putting out content until you can get new episodes recorded or source new material. Unsubscribing now so I don’t get my hopes up when I see a “new” episode drop.

Most of the stories are interesting but Terra Ashe is the absolute worst narrator I’ve ever heard. She is entirely overly dramatic and unnecessarily emphasizes many words, making it difficult to follow a story with any sense of seriousness.

Love the podcast but PLEASE remove or adjust the narration by Adam C Alderson. The way he speaks is very hard to hear, has waaay too much vocal fry and very whiny and annoying. It is very hard on the ears and pretty much unlistenable and insufferable. Love everything else about the podcast but the that style choice when he speaks is absolutely awful. Sorry 😬

I don’t like the new format. I like the old acting narrators better.

There are way too many ads for the amount of stories you get. There are also a lot of repeat stories from other podcasts. Not really original.

This is one of the good ones. Very good sound effects. I usually I can’t stand female voices, mousy, or just annoying, don’t use the right inflections, but the women on here have great voices for the stories. The only thing I would say is I like to listen to true horror stories, and some of these aren’t true. I really wish channels or shows out the obvious lies. Usually it only takes like a simple detail or two to know It’s a complete lie. Like a detail that’s really wrong and if it’s a true story like they say and they experienced, it wouldn’t be that far off. Like for example, a prison term. Obviously somebody that hasn’t dealt with prison or crime, does not know actual prison terms that people receive for certain crimes and that shows it’s a lie.

Disturbed has very interesting and scary stories and I love all the sound effects and voice actors. Disturbed has put in a lot of thought and effort into this show and if you’re looking for a new podcast I strongly recommend this one.

Is really good

This has quickly become one of my favorite podcasts. Actors do the voiceovers and there’s sound effects for the story so it’s easy to paint a creepy picture in your head. Many times I’ve listened to this at night while driving home and it’s given me goosebumps. I would definitely recommend it for any fans of horror.

I took a small break from Podcasts and when I came back, the show sounded different. I couldn’t figure out why and then I looked back at some of the older episodes that I had missed. All I can say is that the new episodes are awful for new people looking to listen to this podcast and actually enjoy it, go back to the episodes before the acquisition. Chad did a really good job, especially bringing in other narrators that we’re very suited for the story and his music and also his voice was perfect for the show you even changed his closing. It just isn’t right why would you buy a showand then change everything about it. You’re literally losing fans here.

This podcast went downhill. I loved the beginning but I was bummed to see it change. Officially unfollowing and unsubscribing.

I hate that you assumed this podcast is at all interesting to a horror fan. If I wanted to listen to a boring sports show I would be listening to the totally different genre it falls under vs my current choice. Gross

I listened to an episode for 40 mins and they still hadn’t brought up the person the story was about. Jfc this is one of the most boring podcasts I’ve ever heard.

I love the show but bring back Chad and all the old narrators they were much better.

I understand the show was sold to a new company or something, but the changes were drastic. The background music throws me off and the new VA’s sound flat and monotone as if they’re presenting a book report. I was hoping I would get used to the changes by now but I haven’t because nothing meshes well anymore. I hope they at least bring back some of the OG cast and change the background music because I no longer look forward to upload day. I’m still holding out hope the show will grow on me because this show was my favorite.

I’ve been listening to Disturbed for forever! I used to be a Patreon subscriber and honestly the new host kills the vibe… I miss Chad. 😭

The host and the format and narrators have changed and it’s just not the same anymore. There are better pods like this out there.

I listened to the old Disturbed for a long time but this new format and narrators are just unlistenable. The stories are junk and the background music is distracting. The new narrator sounds like a spoof of someone trying to be spooky.

It could be a lot better without the annoying music and the multiple people narrating. Stick to one person.

There is nothing new here to listen to. These are all stories from Reddit that every other show plays. And the constant pushing of other shows on here instead of this one. I used to get excited to hear this podcast. On the rare occasions it’s a new ep it’s so full and rehashed I don’t even finish it. Lame

I loved this show before it changed to the new platform. Most of the stories were just told earlier in the week on Let’s Not Meet. Occasionally the stories would overlap before but now its every week…find new stuff please and stop taking from other casts or do some due diligence and keep the stories several weeks apart.

I LOVEEEEE DISTURBED. Everyone commenting that they find the hosts voice “annoying” aren’t true fans. I personally love his voice, it’s what makes the podcast different and unique. Disturbed is my all time favorite, never gets old in my opinion. I’m considering sending in my own true story sometime :))) Y’all keep up the great work !! Thanks for all you do ❤️❤️

Always loved podcast just as it was! New features are dreadful. Please turn off the background music, it doesn’t pair well with the stories and it drowns out the story tellers. And new host talks like he’s in slow motion. Please, please consider changing those. Otherwise I love the podcast and it would be 5 star.

Why did the host change and the other people that would tell the stories changed the last episode about ET was so boring and dragged! I’ll give it a few more eps if it stays this way sadly I’m dropping this show 😩

I truly enjoy the podcast! Love the host’s voice AND the characters voices as well! Don’t know what people are complaining of lol . For me, their voices make the stories more intriguing!! Keep up the great work!

I cannot stand the way the host talks. He has ridiculous inflection and unnecessary pauses that I assume he adds for ✨DRAMA and SUSPENSE ✨ but really it makes it just so annoying. Tanya Eby is the absolute WORST NARRATOR I HAVE EVER HEARD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE and I am OLD. According to google she writes but how does she so often mispronounce very common words? It completely drags me out of the story after I’ve tried so hard to get past her robotic voice. Danuta also cannot pronounce common words infamous places for anything. She called Uvalde “oov dale”. You can Google the pronunciation, you know? Additionally how are editors not catching his nonsense? I really hope they aren’t getting paid for this.

The narration - both male and female - sound robotic or automated. Like you’re using an app to read stories. Makes it tough to listen.
