Man, I love the Greens. Realizing it’s been almost 20 years of reading their books, watching their YouTubes, and now (belatedly) listening to their podcast. Subtle, funny, heartfelt and thoughtful

As a person born in 1997 I often get grouped into Gen Z, but that feels culturally wrong to me because I can remember 9/11, and I was 10 for Obama’s election to the presidency and I truly feel like a Millennial. For example; one of my favorite memories is buying the Bourne Trilogy DVD 3-pack and staying up late in my parent’s basement to watch the all 3 movies in a row and feeling a kind of delirium and adrenaline from pulling my fist all-nighter as a teenager. I fear the iPad-babies will never know that joy.

That one was very moving

I love these two so much. I started listening to them in 2023 when they went on a break. I went back and listened to all of the episodes. When I caught up this past fall I started listening to them again. They seem so genuine and real. I respect both of their opinions, and I admire the way they see the world. They also never fail to make me laugh. I love their healthy brotherly dynamic. This podcast is one of the only things that can keep my anxiety at bay.

I began listening to this podcast in 2018 and I have listened to every episode since. I’ve listened to this podcast doing chores, on airplanes, and while doing a variety of creative hobbies. It is a great companion to life with the spectrum of humanity and our weirdest questions at the center.

I’ve tried a few podcasts but none have I stuck with like I’ve stuck with Dear Hank & John. I truly think that listening to this podcast betters my life, even though it can be at times quite unserious (a quality that actually seems to enhance the serious moments). It frequently both reminds me to dare to hope and gives me a case of the giggles. I greatly respect and appreciate the perspectives of both hosts. They encourage me to both think more deeply and think out of the box: two qualities I find incredibly valuable in my life. Listen to this podcast for a bit of whimsy and a much needed sense of radical hope!

Thought provoking and funny. I come here to maximize the John Green in my life. Hank is great too (let’s be real tho, Hank is everywhere)

I don't know if it's still labeled as a comedy podcast, but it sure is a top podcast for teens. Working through the decade-long backlog of Dear Hank & John. Many funny moments, many serious moments, and (in some rare cases) good advice (but mostly dubious advice). I wonder if the email address will remain hankandjohn once the podcast gets renamed.

Why is there always a nugget of truth that I’ve never thought about in each one of these episodes 😭 for example- the airport being a strange example of business socialism 😂 Discussions on mental health, science, soccer, this might just be my favorite podcast

This podcast is the best thing that has happened to me. I listen to it when I’m cleaning, driving, and generally all the time. I also now always remember sneezing is never normal, have discovered an interest in afc Wimbledon (I already was into mars) and as of today, use COCKBLARNET as an exclamation of frustration. So, in short, this podcast should be listened too by everyone.

Deeply believe you should take a break for whatever reason, and still, so glad you’re back for weekly episodes.

If I listen to this podcast too much I loose a few brain cells. HOWEVER many times it’s so funny and literally Thee Best.

Been here for a long time! Love the comedy and advice!

My parents are nerd fighters so I grew up as one too. It’s truly an amazing thing to be apart of. My librarian is a nerd fighter and she is incredible. I converted one of my best friends to being a nerd fighter too. She loves y’all as well and has listened to a significant portion of your podcast in the last 4 months she’s known about it. I listen to this podcast while I sleep like many others and it’s truly fascinating because I wasn’t aware I could experience so many different emotions while bordering consciousness up till now. One moment you can talk about depression and the next you can talk about motivational Tetris. I’m yapping but point is, you guys are incredible. You do incredible things. I love you two!

I’ve been a nerdfighter since 2007, and this podcast along with their videos is single-handedly what gets me through the week. It’s a scary world out there, but these two have always helped me process the chaos and have a good laugh while doing so. Episodes keep you on your toes as topics jump from hilarious obscurity to deeply philosophical within the same breath. Truly a grand time. Thank you to the Green brothers for never forgetting to be awesome 💜

While the world often seems to be a dumpster fire, this is a podcast that brings a breath of fresh air.

I've been deep into the content made by these brothers since 2012. It pains me a bit to say this, but they've lost it. I feel like they barely make sense anymore. I'm sorry. It's not me, it's you. Maybe it is me. But they're definitely not helping.

I’ve been a nerd fighter since 2019 (these two literally got me through Covid) and when I found out they had a podcast I was so excited! The humor that I’ve grown to love is unchanged and still witty and intelligent like always. I 100% recommend especially if you like witty banter and great dad jokes.

As a fellow Christian I LOVE when you discuss your viewpoints on God. Can we have a three hour long armchair theology podcast of you both just discussing your opinions on morality please?! Praying for you both.

This podcast is a glimmer of light in an often upside down world- It’s smart, weird, and oddly comforting. Hanging out with Hank and John means you’ll accidentally learn things in the most fun, random way possible. These guys never run out of things to say, and I’m never sure where it’s going—but somehow, by the end, they tie it all together and leave me with… I don’t know, hope? Inspiration? Whatever it is, it’s worth the listen.

I always listen to this podcast when I sleep, it’s so funny and always random which is great! I like the episodes where it is just you two with no guests or anything because you guys are just a lot funnier to me! I also love hearing how things are going on Mars and Wimbledon! (I’m still not ever going to call it Dear John and Hank) Remember not to sneeze, stay crabulose and- OH MY GOD ITS BURNING!!!

I enjoy listening to Dear Hank and John because it somehow manages to both incalculably increase my anxiety AND make me laugh. And really, I suppose that’s the point of life.

I started listening to this podcast about a year ago and have listened to every episode; Hank and John have done a remarkable job creating a wonderful mix of lighthearted humor and thought provoking discussion and I honestly cannot speak enough to how much their work means to me. Give this podcast a listen if you haven’t already.
