Andy is good. Interrupts a little too much, but is a good listen. Ross knows his stuff and is awesome. Godfrey is a sour, petulant man that makes this podcast unlistenable. Please replace him so we can listen to a great CFB pod without his illusory superiority complex…until then, I just can’t

Listening to today’s pod was difficult due to Godfrey turning his “sports takes” into an anti-Trump rant. Ross does such a great job talking about how law affects the sport while staying completely bipartisan. Sports radio listeners want to escape messy politics, not be dragged down into it. I am not pro-Trump or anti-Trump, but Godfrey is so anti-Trump that he had to weave his political views about the Iranian conflict into a discussion about college football. If this trend continues, I’m sure listeners will start to tune out.

Not the same POD but still informative. Andy committed the sport commentator cardinal sin … spewed his politics on a sports show. Moving on to the ESPN POD with Dan and Pete.

Godfrey hammering his political opinions into every episode is too much. We listen to sports podcasts to get away from politic opinions. Dan and Pat, we miss you but Andy and Ari works just fine.

Ross is the adult in the room. Giving valuable and insightful info. Staples is like that kid in the old espn “this is sports center” commercial who keeps interrupting the broadcast with his uninformed and immature comments

The show is Ross and Staples trying to talk about CFB in all of its quirkiness/charm while Godfrey spends 100% of his mic time ranting about how stupid Trump is, how stupid half the country is, how stupid 80% of CFB fans are, and how stupid YOU for having thoughts and ideas that weren’t pre-approved by him. It’s exhausting- and it’s clear his co-hosts are uncomfortable with his incessant lecturing. You see, Staples/Ross have this crazy idea that CFB is for everyone, while Godfrey believes CFB should only be enjoyed by those who vote exactly like him- and he never passes us an opportunity to tell you about it. Oh yeah, sometimes they talk about football, too.

I tried to give it a shot. Love Andy and Ross as they are professionals, but Godfrey is unbearable. I can hear the cringing from Ross and Andy regularly when listening to his emo rants and smugness. I’m done with this pod until he leaves the show.

I’ve taken a liking to Andy, he’s a smart guy who really knows this sport and does a good job moving things along. Ross is still probably the country’s best reporter re: college sports. That Godfrey guy is…there. Obviously Wetzel and Pat Forde are not replaceable by anyone, but if you’re a deranged sicko who thinks about college football in March it’s still worth a listen.

Staples is destroying this show. I can deal with Godfrey’s snark/hipster act, but Staples sounds like he’s auditioning to be an ESPN take artist at all times. Throw in that voice and he’s unbearable

Ross still has a lot of value and Andy is doing a decent job running the show, but it’s not the same without Dan and Pat. Dan and Pat never took themselves too serious. I think that’s the biggest change. Godfrey’s self loathing of southern culture is difficult to handle.

Still a good CFP podcast but Dan & Pat are missed.. Ross still has lots of info on how CFB is changing & Godfrey is good. Andy is is knowledgeable but interruptive & thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room & always trying to prove it

I really tried, but I cannot take it anymore. It was never going to be the old show but now it no longer improves upon silence.

I listened to the original show religiously. I miss Dan and Pat tremendously. I gave the new crew a shot, in part out of desperation and in part given how all-around great Ross is and how smart Andy is. But it’s not working, guys. This last episode after the first playoff games was un-listenable. Enough from Godfrey, maroon him back on fandom island. And stop interrupting and talking over everyone, Andy. You can do that to Ari because he’s your minion and has nothing interesting to say, but it’s too much here. Go back and listen to what you’re putting out and decide whether you would actually recommend it to anyone yourself. Just pack it up at this point. I’ll follow Ross to wherever he goes next.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I like the new lineup better than the original trio. Godfrey’s tendency to remind everyone he’s the cool kid is a little annoying, but Dellinger and Staples more than make up for that. My “go to” CFP pod at the moment

There were big shoes to fill with the loss of Wetzel and Forde but Staples and Godfrey are top notch. It’s nice to listen to actual logical people that cover this insane sport.

What a bunch of self-righteous D-bags. But please, keep talking over each other.

Man I miss the old crew so much. The only reason I listen to this show is to hear Ross provide real information. Andy is fine but overexposed, I don’t listen to his pod with Ari anymore because it’s just too much Staples. I can’t believe Ross who is the best insider in the sport, and Andy who actually played, accept Godfrey’s tone. He talks down to everyone and thinks he’s so much smarter than he is. They have to hate him and I’m probably preaching to the choir, but CFE has to find a new third chair for next year or I’m going to have to unsubscribe. I’d do anything to get the old trio back.

Ross’ deeply-sourced reporting together with Godfrey’s real-talk behind-the-curtain commentary are a perfect combo. Andy keeps it moving and makes sure Godfrey’s cynicism doesn’t overtake the show. That isn’t a criticism - Steven’s wholly capable of carrying a show, and does over at Phantom Island - but it’s a critical element of keeping this trio of a show balanced and interesting for anyone, from a high schooler just getting into the sport to an old head.

Have listened to every episode since it started. New lineup has been good and the info on the machinations of the game is top notch. Two issues: Really miss the humor bits the old crew used to cut the tedium of the playoff/NIL/business chat. It starts to get droney after a bit so needs more goofy stuff. Also, Godfrey and Staples interrupt incessantly. I know a good podcast should sound like folks chopping it up at a sports bar, but holy crow … y’all stepping on each other’s points way too much. But good show for sure.

Stop talking over each other. Andy Staples and Stephen Godfried talk way too much and keep talking over Ross. Godfried appears to have an ego the size of the moon because he talks over everyone and then monologues. He seems to be convinced he’s the smartest guy in every room.

I absolutely love this podcast. Ross, Godfrey, and Andy are an incredible CFB trio that have vaulted to the top of my must listens. I have a question if yall could answer it on the pod I understand why everyone is giving lane a hard time for the way he’s handling this decision. But my question is why aren’t people understanding his thought process? All I see is “why is lane leaving ole miss when they have a shot at a championship?” Do they? We still haven’t seen the blue chip ratio not bare out. What if he sees his roster and knows he doesn’t have a legit chance to win 4 games against this level of competition? Why is no one bringing that piece up?

This podcast was excellent with Wetzel, Forde and Dellenger. Dellenger is still great. Staples is too loud. Godfrey just tries to show he’s as smart and connected as the other two (he isn’t). And then Godfrey and Staples just talk over each other with nonsense while Ross waits patiently to talk actual football or off the field issues. It’s unfortunate.

This podcast shows what a great host wetzel was. Now he’s playing second fiddle to another inSECure windbag like rece. These guys act impartial but they see things through a southern lens only. Okay, I take it back. Ross and Andy are okay but the other guy is unlistenable. He tries to overcompensate his inSECure education by trying to seem smarter than he is.

Andy and Russ are great. I don't get why Godfrey continues to cover a sport he clearly despises. I tried to listen and wanted to like it but Godfrey's hate of college football is just too tough to fight through.

If they renamed the show to describe what they actually do now, I’d give a higher rating. Ross and the guys are fun to listen to, but if you want to know about anything outside of the SEC and like two teams in the big 12, you will need to find another podcast.

New listener really like the podcast so far, it makes my commute to work feel short and entertaining. Keep it coming. Update: Godfrey and Staples a downgrade from previous crew, talking over each other, lame attempts at being funny and constantly trying to one up each other with minutia that adds little to the topic being discussed, really miss Wetzel and Forde!

I like the show, however, it should be called the College Football SEC Enquirer.

What was an interesting national show is now a SEC BJ fest. Just bend over for them. Also, this new crew apparently knows nothing about the sport. All they discuss is coaches and NIL. I know it’s easy pickings but the simply haven’t actually discussed the sport yet.

I have listened to these guys on various podcasts and like them all. Andy, please let these guys finish their thoughts.

I like the show and guys. Good content and knowledge. However, it can be nearly impossible to listen to because there is so much talking over each other!!! Sounds like Andy and Steven continually try to one-up each other.

Listening to this podcast feels like hearing an uninformed influencer rather than seasoned sports reporters. Their arguments are inconsistently applied, revealing a frustrating lack of objectivity.

Gave it a shot but quickly found out this is far from the previous version of the show. Way too much southern football talk. 28 minutes spent on basically a non competitive Miami FSU game was the last straw.

Ok most recent episode, Godfrey. NOOOOOOOO your take on the schedule is terrible!!!!!! This is what makes CFB so great and you’re just looking at it as a reporter. DO NOT VOTE FOR RATINGS!!!! Somewhere Dan and Pat are rolling in their graves. I would expect Ross to hold the line. We do not want tv to control schedule it makes it ten times worse!! Just look at the NFL. Leave it alone and just go with it.

Pat and Dan would critique games, but do it quickly and not talk too much about specifics. We all like college football but we don’t need to spend five minutes on an American League’s team’s offense. And the sense of humor is gone. You know college football, but let’s throw some humor in there. Pat and Dan detailed the convert, but Ross was always there to bring it back and it worked. Don’t get me wrong, I like Dellenger, but he wasn’t the funny guy, but it worked. I think I speak for a lot of listeners when I say get back someone with a sense of humor.

Awesome podcast. The new cast is better than the old one! But please, please work on finishing thoughts and not interrupting each other. It can be hard to follow.

I’m trying. I love Ross. If Andy and Godfrey keep talking over him, I’m out. Get a decent producer.

I’m trying to give this new group a chance but I may cut them off soon. They ramble more than analyze. They sound like the guys sitting behind you at the game saying whatever comes to mind. The show misses someone like Forde.

Used to love this pod. Like Andy and Ross. But this Godfrey character is a complete clown. I tried to give it a chance. But simply cannot listen or subscribe anymore. This last bit on Michigan was laughable. Best of luck.

Godfrey is so awful I don’t think I can listen any longer. I’ve always liked Ross and Andy, but my god Godfrey is a know it all annoying grouch. Please replace him with anyone else!

Still the king. Best college football pod out there.

New hosts are a downgrade. Enjoy Ross Dellenger,but the other two are bad. They have the same irritating voice/laugh. Knowledge and opinions are lacking. Gave it a couple episodes but I’m out.

It’s week 1 and there are 3 top 10 games this weekend and other than the Arch talk, they did not talk about any of these games. Not a single word about Clemson/LSU or ND/Miami and no actual game talk about OSU/Texas. But they spent an hour talking about Deion and Belichick. If the plan is to just talk about the stories being written for yahoo sports to direct listeners to them, count me out.

With the departure of Pat and Dan, Ross has been left to mind the store with a couple of childish know- nothings. I gave the new show a shot but I just can’t put up with them anymore. Sorry Ross but I’m out. Sad end to a once great show.
