He sets up his question, answers his own question, then we get to listen to the guest.

Greg is not a legend. He is THE legend! The best host leaves no moment unsharpened with guests you wish you’d heard of years ago. The most entertaining, fluff-free guitar podcast to tickle your eardrums. 10/10 would recommend!

I’ve known of Greg for what seems like forever - I used to gig in northern MI and heard his name back then in the 90’s. I remember hearing about him in guitar magazines, in the Fender Frontline, and on the early internet. Truly fearsome guitar player. He’s also a very good conversationalist. These interviews have gotten helped me to get to know so many fantastic musicians that I would otherwise never get to hear from. Fantastic podcast!

I love this podcast because it’s entertaining and informative. Greg interviews great players but I’ve only given three stars because women players are severely underrepresented. Of the 64 episodes only one, Jennifer Batten, is included. There are some great women players out there so I hope Greg reads this and changes his tune. Pun intended.

During the pandemic (and onward) there was food, music, guitar, and of course gristle. These were the things of necessity. And from them came life. Thank you and please continue!

I have been playing guitar since 1967. I love the guitar and belong to a bunch of Facebook groups and the Tele group, so I am always turned on. This podcast goes into the soul and heart of guitar playing, but also dives into the technology and practical discussions. Greg’s interview style gives the subject guitarist plenty of time and respect, but also brings his own knowledge and experience into the show. I love these podcasts and have even picked up some great hints and tips. I am just a hobbyist, but this show makes me feel like I am part of a brotherhood, even though vicariously. Great job, Greg. Great show!

Enormously entertaining, as usual! First of all you have a great speaking voice, Greg. Complemented by a superior wit just makes for great entertainment. So glad I just now got onto your podcast. Been a huge fan since the Shufflaires down at Rosies (insane that Rosies is still alive and well). LOVE IT !!!!

If only there was a place where you could hear Arlen Roth and Greg Koch discuss Roy Buchanan. That would surely deserve five stars.

On top of being a remarkable guitar player Mr. Koch is a very entertaining and knowledgeable guy. The guests range from players to producers to educators all of whom have interesting conversation, stories and insight to spare. There is enough gear talk for gear heads to get into but that isn’t the whole show. I’m a bass player in a working band and I find the show to be entertaining and valuable. Check it out. You’ll dig it.

Greg Koch is a remarkable man. Incredibly gifted musician, storyteller, and standup-level funny guy. These interviews are insightful and fascinating looks into the musical process. I can’t think of a musician I’d rather hear conduct them.

ESPECIALLY IF YOU PLAY GUITAR.... I moved to Wisconsin over 10 years ago from NYC...and had heard of this guy (that went to school here in my town) with a funny sounding last name....who was the most amazing guitar player/teacher that you’d NEVER HEARD OF.....and it became a kind of Sasquatch sighting thing.....( actually 🤔....he would make a great Sasquatch...Chewing the Gristle and all.....if Sas was SMART, ARTICULATE, an AMAZING PLAYER....and FUNNY AS F@€K!! .... and a couple inches shorter too...😜) But I digress..... Sooo....I somehow always missed his appearances locally (like Sas) But then I found this Podcast.... mind blowing! ....its like sitting down with all of the legendary players and having a beer...and them just spilling their guts on everything and NOT SUGAR COATING the reality of a Life in Music....especially after this CoVid plague..... But still joyful, fun and mesmerizing ..... Just friggin’ listen....

Greg does a fabulous job and always keeps things light and fun yet informative. I always look forward to a new episode.

If you’re here you most likely know Greg’s unique sense of humor. All of this comes across in his interviews and he brings it out in his guests too. Listen to the Lukather or Johnny A one for sure. Also, tons of gear talk for the guitar nerd in all of us. Gristle On! Can you dig it?

Greg brings out the best in all of the guests. His intelligence and attitude invigorates the discussion. If you like Greg’s playing you’ll dig this podcast just as much.

I have really enjoyed the first handful of episodes on this new podcast from Greg Koch. Greg is always entertaining and has grown into an important and respected figure in the guitarist community as both and player and educator. Deemed ‘a guitarist’s guitarist’ by those in-the-know, he’s a guy that even the stars listen to for inspiration. So it comes as no surprise that he’s in a unique position to interview some of the most successful and brilliant guitarists alive today, and to help guide their conversations through everything from pro musicianship, to what gear they use, to exclusive stories from the road and studio. This is a podcast for anyone who is hungry for insight and entertainment from the world’s top guitar players. I’ve already learned some important lessons from the podcasts and look forward to sponging it up from many more!
