Heading into the turn in Season 2 and nobody but Carl Weathers can stop me from listening; as Apollo Creed, famously shouted, "There is no tomorrow!” Continued listening and caught up in 8 months. In the time I started listening to this podcast, I gained an entirely new level of confidence. In this time of listening, I finally splurged for new irons, hit my first hole in one, and learned to appreciate and respect the game of golf in entirely new levels of joy.

This is such a well thought out and executed podcast. Very well done.

Binged all seasons in 6 months. Highly relatable especially as the hosts went from mid 30’s to early 40’s and all the life changes and surprises that naturally occur. Also I give up on podcasts when they get popular because the ads get too annoying. But on this show I can listen to them ad lib a sponsor ad for 10+ minutes - it’s one of my favorite parts of the show lol

I have never once in my life left a review for a podcast but this one is different! Love everything about this podcast, I just started playing golf 8 months ago and I’m also a guy in my late 30s trying to get better at this game. The comedy and chemistry between Mike and Eli is the best. Oh I also found out that Irish Mike is 10 minutes from my work so thanks for that. LGLG

I wish I had found the podcst sooner. When I did, I soon became hooked. I'm enjoying their pursuit and have taken a little from here and there as I chase my own goal of getting to 5.

Highly bingeable and entertaining. Multiple layers to this show. Friendship, family dynamics, self reflection, fatherhood and community all wrapped up in some amazing storytelling, their golf journeys are secondary to the friendship they have and the pursuit of growth. Good dudes!

This is possibly the most entertaining podcast I have ever encountered. I stumbled upon it after nearly having my love of golf mutilated by the audiobook version of Hank Haney’s soulless memoir about how Tiger Woods never gave him a popsicle, and the actual humor, emotion, honesty and relatability of the epic quest documented in Mike and Eli’s podcast brought me back to life. I just purchased a signed photo of Carl Weathers on eBay. I have been attempting to rewatch the Marvel movie timeline, but instead am rushing to catch up on this podcast. These are my new Avengers. The most wholesome and authentic entertainment you can find in the golf world.

I just found your podcast and finished season 1. So I have to tell you I’ve NEVER given a review on anything!!! This is the greatest thing I’ve ever listened to and I used to listen to Howard Stearn and Joe Rogan. I especially love all the movie quotes. What a great first season and an unbelievable final round. Although you failed to get to a zero handicap it was an amazing victory in my opinion. I’d love to hear an added Apollo Creed quote “ you’ll know when it’s over!!” Keep up the great content

When I began this Podcast earlier this year I had found myself trying to break free from a true crime obsession that had become a problem. You know you’re listening to too much true crime when all your podcasts start covering the same gruesome stories and you’re the one who is counted on to explain the gory details of whatever terrible murder is in the headlines. I needed to listen to something ridiculous and lighthearted. This fit the bill but also delivered so much more. When Eli and Mike delve into improving the quality of their overall physical and mental health off the course is where things get really interesting. At some point their golf journey takes a backseat to hearing them find ways to balance “real life” and still find time to enjoy time to themselves doing something they love. If I’m being honest, I secretly hope they never reach scratch because I’m afraid this ride will be over…

My friend told me about your podcast and you were already into season six. I was able to binge listen while traveling on an overseas golf trip. Those on the plane trying to sleep did not appreciate my constant outbursts of laughter (I had headphones). Luv ya guys! LGLG!!

I have enjoyed Chasing Scratch over the years. Fun listen while you’re waiting for golf season to start. Later seasons move a little further away from the mean (visits to Titleist, endorsements, professional coaches). We should all be so lucky. I have enjoyed following Eli’s recovery and the home simulator builds in Season 8. Still a sponge worthy podcast.

Been listening from the beginning and currently in Season 2. Love the talks they have each episode, as the thoughts they have are similar to mine. As someone who is also chasing scratch these episodes help me along the journey!!

I recently came across the Chasing Scratch Podcast. I started in season one and have been binge listening over the past few days. I am also done with season one. Really funny podcast. Makes me laugh while I am working or out for a run. Really good podcast about normal guys. Can’t wait to listen to the next few seasons. Also shows how hard golf is and how hard it is to get to scratch. The boys have just gotten below 7 handicaps which is really good. Anyways keep up the great work I appreciate the entertainment.

Loved the first few seasons. Been hard to listen to last few with small gains and lots of talking over golf. Need progress to be made, less talk about learning lessons (for the 10th time) and excuses - it’s season 8. Losing interest.

I was turned on to the pod cast by a coworker who I play Golf with and I must say in less than 4 months I caught up to the latest season. I would warn you though if you are driving while listening you may have to pull over as you will be laughing so hard it will make you cry. I had many occasions of this and that’s what kept me coming back. Mike and Eli are very relatable and I enjoy the fun they have while talking golf and giving us accounts of their own struggles with the game. Keep doing what your doing and LGLG. Jeremiah

Began bingeing the podcast over the summer, routinely listening on drives into work, and quickly moved to squeezing in episodes every chance I got. The entertainment, insight, and humor in the podcast are second to none. Mike and Eli have inspired me to chase scratch, and I’ve learned how to integrate golf balls, installed my own Carl Weathers learning center (RIP), and lowered my handicap from 9.1 to 5.0 since starting the show. Mike and Eli have a relationship that keep you in stitches every episode. I was introduced to the podcast from a golf buddy of mine and after episode 1 I knew I was hooked. Keep up the work boys, I now have added “Come on Rick!” at my hip pocket of golf phrases!

I have made it to season 6. These guys kinda mirror my life. I’m 34 wife and kids and I try very hard to play as much golf as possible. I started listening last season and I to tried to make the same decision they did and become scratch. I have dropped my hdcp to 4 from 12. I use a lot of the apps they talk about and looked into some of their coaches lessons on YouTube

Thanks to Mike & Eli my golf game has not improved at all. However based on the last two seasons I am now a fellow in Orthopedic Surgery. At least in my mind. I’ve heard enough medical episodes (hip, back, wrist, and bubonic plague) that I may very well be the best fake doctor ever. Breaking news, you are getting old! We have heard about all the injuries, all the sleep issues. I’m certain the new season will detail how many times a night you are getting up to pee. I can’t wait to listen, keep up the great work. I stopped following your podcast in about year 3 because there was not enough about actually playing golf. Checked in again in season 7. It’s even worse.

I listened to this pod for quite some time and feel it is quite possibly the greatest out there. Over the past year my son has come to love golf as much as his old man. I introduced him to the pod earlier in season 7 and he calls me while I’m on a cruise with the wife for our 20th anniversary. Dad, he says-I have binged all the seasons of Chasing Scratch and I love it. Now as season 7 comes to an end we have another great golfing experience to share together. Thanks and looking forward to season 8.

Daily Diary of 2 middle aged men

So I’m finishing up season 3 and I’m dying. Yes the phrase peppered is a correct saying but I only remember it from pitching baseball. 2nd. I’m a vet and dealing with some medical issues that make it hard to swing the clubs normally. For a number of years I have adopted a form of Moe Norman’s swing that I taught myself. I’m 54 and getting my hip replaced and hope to get my rehab through a TPI rehab/physical therapy. Irons I swing normally. Lastly. Do you have a word or phrase for lip outs. Soup natzi no soup for you.

Absolutely a show for all the “regular guy” golfer. Your “Chase” inspires me to simply play my best, and yet remember I am 42… with a family. Such a fun show and great game!

First 2 seasons were awesome (5 stars!) as it did feel like 2 guys trying to accomplish a cool goal together. The seasons after felt like they morphed into sponsorship, product placement, and goofy pop culture discussions instead of golf. Season 7 Episode 24 basically starts with 10 mins of ads.

I just finished season one. I am 36 years old. I am a 12 hcp, and I am obsessing about getting better. Beyond that I am from Lexington like Eli. I can’t believe I hadn’t listened before now. The first season played out like a great golf movie. Excellent podcast, guys. Looking forward to season two and beyond.
