I’ve been waiting my whole life for a podcast like this one. A lot of other people who teach the Bible miss crucial, divine perspectives that are explored in this podcast. I can’t tell you how much I love this podcast and have for years!

The Bible Project Pod has taught me as much about God than maybe anyone can teach me. I plan to listen to every episode.

I was listening to the episode on psalm 2, and you guys said that God calls Israel his firstborn son. That made me think of all the times in the Bible when the firstborn serves the second born, and I want to know if that has anything to do with Israel?

Well The Bible Project has don’t it again. I was listening to your podcast Q&R “How Jude should influence how we think about the Deuterocanon” I alway checked recommend resources and so i bought a book that you referenced by Dr. Brad Pitre. He’s a Catholic believer and professor. His book on “Jesus and the Jewish roots of Mary” blew me away. Even though it goes without saying we have old differences with our Catholic brothers and sisters, this book was beautiful and scholarly. That’s a hard mix. I loved it. Thanks for the great series on Jude and the a shout out to the team who does the show note and book recommendations. That book was a game changer for me. It brought me closer to Lord Jesus is a surprising way. Thanks Tim and Dr. Mackie.

I listen to this podcast and have the app downloaded. One of my most favorite things to do each day is to watch one of the videos. It’s amazing how much they have made the Bible come alive and made me draw dots and hyper links throughout the Bible. I love this so much. I can’t say enough about these guys and what they’re doing. I have been using BibleProject for a while and I still love it. However their YouTube channel is way better especially when it has free bible project videos! I recommend strongly them.

I have listened to 2 years of episodes thus far, and some episodes have been a blessing. I would not hesitate to hear more, however there are moments when they use their show as a bully-pulpit for their political views. At times they blend in personal politics and imply they are right and correct because their personal interpretation of a passage says they are right. The hosts do seem to imply, at times, that what the Bible says is not quite adequate and that one needs to go back to the original languages to understand it. I do plan to listen more but will have to practice a little discernment.

Whenever I have a question I can’t quite wrap my head around, I often look to see if BP has an episode to help guide my reading and understanding of the word. Thank you for this amazing resource!

Jon and Tim bring the gifts of their shared faith in Jesus, their friendship, Jon’s curiosity and Tim’s biblical scholarship, and their desire to make Jesus known into this conversational podcast that shows the gift of God’s revelation to his people and through the old and New Testament scriptures. These podcasts and the videos have brought depth to my personal studies and increased my awe of God’s power and love.

It was amazing to me after I started following Jesus and studying the Bible that I could know God, not just intellectually, but experientially as well. And the more I understand His word, the closer to Him I feel. Listening to BibleProject has helped me feel so much closer to the Lord. Especially in hard seasons, listening has helped cling to the Lord through His word and draw so much closer to Him. Been watching the BibleProject animations for years. Their explanations and context make reading the Bible on my own more meaningful. Never knew they had a podcast, but found out about it a few days ago. Listened for the first time, and it was as if the Holy Spirit himself brought me to the episode. What I heard married up seamlessly with my current life circumstances and it was inspiring to look at my circumstances from a fresh and —more importantly—Biblical perspective. Very much looking forward to listening on a regular basis and very appreciative to the whole team at the BibleProject for helping me get to know our Lord and Savior more deeply. 🙌❤️🙏

These guys are awesome. They have changed how I view the Bible. They point out themes that aren’t obvious to modern readers. After listening to these guys I am learning to see how the Bible is a cohesive story that points to Messiah Jesus. Plus the dynamic between John and Tim is just next level, it’s like they were born to do this or something. Great work bible project team!

I learned about the Bible project from the Bible recap with Tara Lee cobble. It made me deep dive into your content and what you all have available. Just started the podcast from episode one! Absolutely love the way everything is explained. I feel like you can’t help but learn and grow from listening to these because it truly puts you in a moment of self reflection.

Unlike typical commentary, these guys dig into the real questions we all wrestle with. They explain things in a way that’s easy to understand, using relatable language and examples, while offering wisdom and insight we don’t often get in everyday life. I love how each episode helps me learn more about the Bible and, even more importantly, deepens and strengthens my faith in Jesus. Truly a blessing to listen—highly recommend!

This is great content and it is well produced. It’s a wonderful addition to my faith journey but please PLEASE turn off Tim’s mic when Jon is speaking —especially when Jon is summarizing profound concepts. Every few seconds Jon’s dialogue is interrupted by Tim’s needless, “ mmm,” “that’s right,” “oh!,” “so good.” X100. It completely distracts from the point Jon is building and therefore making it difficult for the listener to follow the entire concept.

If you are like me, you’re very careful of where you get your information. For the first couple years of listening to BibleProject, I held everything they said very loosely because I didn’t know enough about biblical scholarship to confidently evaluate what I was hearing. After several years of reading academic and popular-level texts from many scholars across the liberal-conservative spectrum, I have found Tim to be extremely in-line with solid scholarship, and maybe even a little conservative at times. So take it from me—a stranger on the internet—you are in good hands here. Tim, thank you so much for what you’re doing. Blessings.

I love the Bible project. I love you guys, YouTube content and your plans on the Bible app. I love listening to your podcasts.

In general, I love the BibleProject. Their animations make the Bible much more accessible. It addition, they often have a thought on a text which I have not been exposed to in my 40 years of Bible study. Often, I agree, but occasionally I disagree. I am Southern Baptist and FULLY (100%) agree with the Southern Baptist doctrines. I have taught every book in the Bible multiple times and have long ago lost count of how many times I have read through the entire Bible. They lean too much on what their professors teach. Jesus clearly teaches that every letter of the original manuscripts is divinely inspired. So the Bible itself should carry far, far more weight than Origen, Augustinian, etc. Still, I heartily recommend all Christians to use The Bible Project’s materials.

I have used Bible Project for research, personal study, as well as personal interest in the visuals etc. I have to really stress how much I love this podcast. So informative in the ways my brain works that finds the trees within the forest every single time. Thank you!!
