So so good!
This podcast is so so good!! Organized content flows so naturally, whoever is editing and producing this podcast 10/10!! Andrea’s narration is always intriguing and spot on, like she’s talking to you! More important, the actual content of the series is always so captivating.

Love this podcast!
I’m currently listening to the latest - Season 4!
Now I can’t wait to listen to the first three!!!

Great, compelling show.
This show is so interesting! Loved seasons 1-3. I felt season 4 could have been a feature in their “weekly” show. A lot of repetition and feeling like they had to drag it out to make it a whole season.

Is there a point?
Condense by half - it gets hard to hear no significant content each episode - except to make the family suffer more!

Cool Ad Podcast
It’s nice of them to put content in between all the ads!

Interesting
It was a good story and then the last 3 episodes were just about how bad and evil cops are. Don’t waste your time.

The ads are about 5 minutes long
Unacceptable amount of time to run ads before and during the episode

Same
Every episode is the exact same. Just different names. Crazy.

Good
Good Podcast but the series drag on to get more unnecessary episodes out of it.

Absolutely gut punched! So many of us have lived this story. Sometimes it’s hard to see the world as it relates to another wounded human when you are so I was faced with this I hesitated. So glad I listened. Thank you 🩷

Solid
No giggling hosts, pretty clean production, and tells the perspective I’ve always wanted to hear—the family who are left with their lives blown up after someone does something terrible.

Season four episode five
Love Karoline’s big Brother - he took the words right out of my mouth. I’m so happy that he no longer looks up to Joel and that he calls him Joel. He’s lost all respect and I love that he told him he can go f himself. He is such a royal piece of S. No one in that family deserved it. And he continued to lie so much! A true worthless psychopath!

The best story telling!
This podcast is a great listen! It never seems like stories are cut short and I love all of the details in the stories!

Season 4, episode 1
Not only does the husband have no boundaries, but neither does this woman, who immediately involves her minor children in their father’s banal suburban marital transgressions at every opportunity. So utterly inappropriate. But this podcast is more interested in the binary of good vs evil to actually be interesting. Or investigative. Or ask questions. These first episodes just feel cheap.

Favorite show
Stories well told and well produced. I wish they actually released episodes “weekly”

Well Done without Sensationalism
I only listened to season 3 but was really impressed with how the podcast was produced. The people involved in the story really got to tell their story without the sensationalism or dramatic responses, questions, statements, that you sometimes hear or see in the dateline or 48 hours type podcasts. This was a tough podcast to listen to, but in addition to being interesting it was educational and informative. It was also incredibly brave for the survivors in the story to come forward. I did not feel like the people in the podcast were being manipulated for dramatic purposes to increase viewership. There appeared to be a genuine concern by those involved in the making of this podcast for the welfare of those participating. I also loved that there resources provided for Tyler with 1in6, an organization to help male victims of sexual abuse. That kind of follow up and advocacy was amazing and a benefit to those listening who might truly find this helpful.

Excellent storytelling and professional production
Justin must have been abused…but he deserves to rot in prison. Stacy did all she could other but I beg mothers to be more aware how is this going on for years? Husbands watch tv, do sports, cook, sleep in the room with their wife etc how is this man in a room with a boy and no one notices???

A podcast that I like
I would rather watch a show then listen to a podcast, however I saw the show on hulu and was intrigued. The way the stories are presented really show the complexity of humans. We really don’t know anyone truly. This podcast empowers the survivors when sometimes the justice system doesn’t.

Fantastic stories, poor editing
First I want to say that I have loved all the episodes of Betrayal that I’ve listened to so far! This podcast could absolutely be 5-stars, if not for one issue. I completely understand podcasting is hard work and can’t happen without sponsors, however, the ratio of content vs. ads is disproportionate to the length of these episodes. The excessive ad breaks also take you completely out of the story. It cheapens the human component and emotional impact of these stories. I know they offer a subscription, but it’s unfortunately a barrier to entry for many potential new listeners. I’m cutting down on subscriptions, so I’m not sure I can justify this one. But I think this show has great potential if only the ads could be more reasonable.

Can’t get enough
Betrayal is definitely my new favorite podcast. I signed up for the free Hulu trial so I could watch the series! This is so well done. I just listened to the latest with “Heather” and THANK YOU! Her reason for wanting to tell her story really resonates with me- like I FEEL BETTER about my own family situation now. Anyway, great pod….I check back all the time for the new ones. Keep up the great work.

Too many ads
This is a great podcast. It brings important issues to light and forces us to hear uncomfortable truths. However, the amount of ads in these short episodes is absurd. It’s hard to stay engaged when the story is interrupted every few minutes.

Kept me wanting more
This podcast has become my new obsession. After finding this last year and listening to Season 1, I watched the documentary. I was absolutely floored by what was revealed and I felt so much compassion for Jennifer for sharing her story. I was interested again when I saw Season 2 and Ashley’s story on the podcast. Again, shocked at her story, but felt empathy for her. These women are so brave to reveal their darkest moments that I felt I can only support by choosing to listen. Season 3 and Stacey’s story was by far the most shocking for me. It’s a hard listen but one that unfortunately happens more than we know. Andrea and her team share these stories with compassion and kindness. It’s very intriguing to listen to and kept me wanting more. I will say when I saw the Betrayal weekly podcasts show up, I was excited that more was available to me. I very much recommend checking out all the Betrayal episodes, you won’t be disappointed.

The Podcaster did a Wonderful Job
However, the season one wife, Jennifer, is very self serving. The way she talks to the ‘other women,’ including the minor is very distasteful. Honestly, how dare she ask someone who was a child about her thoughts regarding her rapist being married. She also seemed to get a little rise out of telling the adult other women that her ex-husband was sleeping with multiple women. She should not have been the person interviewing these women.

So well done
Listening to Season 3. Very compelling and heart wrenching.

Well done
Just listened to season three. I thought Andrea did a great job telling the story in a sensitive way. And all the respect in the world to whom they call Tyler in this episode. What an incredible young man taking something so horrific and trying to help others that have gone through the same thing. He should be so proud.

Season 2/3 are good
I listened to this in reverse starting from season 3. Season 3 and 2 were great and a good balance of all those involved and the wives came off as genuine. Season 1 was not good. The wife, Jennifer, is self serving, makes it all about her, and is an egomaniac. Why the podcast was all about her I’ll never understand. You could audibly hear the disdain she had for all the other women including minors involved rather than blaming her husband for what he did. It was gross. And she comes off even worse in the Hulu docuseries and is obviously loving the limelight and about the money grab. The focus should’ve been on Rachel and her wishes/viewpoint, but this was far from it. Host, Jennifer and the producers should be ashamed.
