So. Many. Ads.
I really enjoy the content of this podcast but holy cow there are SO many ads. I’ve never listened to another podcast with so many ads in an episode.

LONGWINDED AF
There’s a difference between storytelling and being long-winded as hell. This teeters on the side of being long-winded.

Great Job
As a survivor of betrayal, I enjoy hearing stories that remind me I am not alone.
Hi Moz
Awesome
Amazing podcast, I was hooked from the first episode!!

Courageous!
Wow this was so painful to hear but thank goodness for the courage to bare your heart and expose your pain and experiences with others that need to hear your story!! This is much more prevalent than people realize!! These men whom love “Double lives,” and the ones who don’t hold them accountable for the actions that damage so many people‘s lives!! Thank you for your vulnerability and for exposing the perpetrators who have no concept of the truth and whom you have been betrayed by!! I’m praying for your family and your healing process!! So very sorry you have been subjected to such cruel treatment!!

Same
Every episode is the exact same. Just different names. Crazy. Could you imagine men doing these podcasts? Bob and Frank going on and on episode after episode about Jennifer? Make it stop.

Inspired
I am obsessed with this podcast. The vulnerability and strength of this woman and her children is inspiring. How could a man implode a family and dishonor law enforcement like this? That agency is a disgrace. I hope Karoline and her children are thriving and know how much they have inspired others who were betrayed.

Season 4
I’m enjoying the content but the kids didn’t need to be involved in every detail. It wasn’t their business, it’s between the husband and wife.
JOMAMA1986
He’s an addict
It’s the oldest story. He’s a sex addict. She needs to go to Alanon. It’s not about her and not deep or psychological. Replace sex with alcohol or gambling and this story is so boring and trite

Best podcast around
This is a great podcast. We are all vulnerable and these stories are heartbreaking but together we get through them. Love Andrea Gunning.

Too many bonus and extras
The actual content from the seasons are great! But nothing is more annoying than when you have to stop and find your phone and skip the bonus episodes so you can get to the actual content! Please stop doing that! Just upload the episodes in order

Great Series!!
This series is very good and has the same start LOVE BOMB the individual and off they go!! Am looking forward to the Hulu episodes as well. Great job at bringing these unknown and untold stories to light the more you know the more we can watch out for some of these red flags. Prayers to all the victims and survivors of these stories🙏🏽

This story dragged and I stopped losing interest. The mom involving the kids in the situation was deplorable. The son was the only family member, with any sense 🤷‍♀️

Great storytelling but season 4 highlights something even more troubling..
The complete enmeshment and codependence this family has is just.. beyond. What stood out to me more than the stank nasty cheating cop (that culture is SO pervasive in law enforcement- literally a dime a dozen) in this story, was how shockingly inappropriate and toxic this family dynamic is. There is literally no reason whatsoever that their CHILDREN needed to know or be involved in “family meetings” that discussed detailed sexual encounters their father was having OR be their mother’s emotional soundboard throughout. I just hope they’ve invested in some serious therapy because that’s trauma that they never needed to be exposed to.

Great show
I have been hooked from the first episode. I feel so terrible for the family. When someone intends to deceive you, there’s very little you can do about their action. I’m glad they were strong enough to overcome. The story tread phenomenal. I count betrayal as one of my top podcasts and I listen to many!!!

So. Many. Ads!
First off, this is a really well done podcast. I like the information and the production value. But even as an avid podcast listener I have never listened to one with SO MANY ADS! I think there are more ads than podcast.

Season 4
The people who are complaining about season 4 just being about cheating….. have really lost the plot… this is more psychological. I don’t want to give it away so I’ll stop here but I just want to clarify that season 4 is very juicy and worth listening to. This isn’t just cheating.. this is far beyond that. Don’t normalize “just cheating” either, other reviewers. That’s crazy!

Audience?
I’m not sure who the audience for this podcast is. Some of the things that you explain it’s as though you’re talking to people who are 60 and over. Not my jam.

Not A Great Story
Not a fan of Season 4. I don’t like the way their kids were brought into it (they don’t need all the details). Also, it sounds like this guy was just a big cheater. Not that unusual.

Can’t believe this
How some people can explode their whole family in an instant. Great storytelling! Captivating
mrsammieb
Disorganized
While the sorry for season 4 is compelling, it’s so incredibly disorganized! Nothing is told in any clear order, chronological or otherwise. A story will be briefly mentioned then randomly brought up 2 episodes later. I gave up in the middle of episode 4!

Betrayal season 4
Too much information repeated. Podcast is just too long.
mescmimi
Why is this a season?
Why is this woman pulling her kids into all this? They don’t need to know sexual details and be pulled out of college midterms to hear about their father’s sexual exploits

Season 4
I find this season boring and could have been told in 1 episode.

Can’t stop listening
I’m hooked. Each season is more dynamic than the next. Incredible reporting and hosting on serious crimes that shouldn’t be ignored.

Cringe Ads kill the podcast
The stories are OKAY but the ads are so obnoxious. The story stops every 10-15 minutes to play the exact same ads. I finally quit listening mid-way through. I get we all need to make money but this is overkill and unenjoyable.
jocelyn178
Questionable content
I really enjoyed the other seasons of this show but I’m on episode two of the 4th season and are we really talking about some guy cheating on his wife like it’s some huge deal? This just isn’t the content I expect from this podcast. The only thing that makes this show”sensational” is because he’s a cop and used his police vehicle. Give me a break guys.
Tasha4prep
Interesting, but overly dramatic
The stories are heartbreaking and compelling to listen to. I’m glad it’s given some women/families solidarity to learn that they are not alone. However, the host’s vocal fry and dramatic comments are a bit over the top, not necessary, and feel like they are there just to add unneeded salaciousness. The podcast would be more credible, intelligent and enjoyable without this.

Cut offs
I just found the pod so all eps are available thankfully. I’m not sure how often new ep’s are released. I say all this because the way they end them before they even tell us what the story will be about is annoying. It’s clear they’re trying to drag out the stories to have more content but it shows.

So so good!
This podcast is so so good!! Organized content flows so naturally, whoever is editing and producing this podcast 10/10!! Andrea’s narration is always intriguing and spot on, like she’s talking to you! More important, the actual content of the series is always so captivating.
Sheva35
Love this podcast!
I’m currently listening to the latest - Season 4! Now I can’t wait to listen to the first three!!!
joyreh
Great, compelling show.
This show is so interesting! Loved seasons 1-3. I felt season 4 could have been a feature in their “weekly” show. A lot of repetition and feeling like they had to drag it out to make it a whole season.
ymmik21
Is there a point?
Condense by half - it gets hard to hear no significant content each episode - except to make the family suffer more!
dweezlehead
Cool Ad Podcast
It’s nice of them to put content in between all the ads!
TheLizardPeople
Amazing
I’m hooked! Great job!

Interesting
It was a good story and then the last 3 episodes were just about how bad and evil cops are. Don’t waste your time.
Mike6674
The ads are about 5 minutes long
Unacceptable amount of time to run ads before and during the episode
KristaKennedy
Excellent, good content & pace
Narrator is good, stories are good.
Teon77
Exceptional podcast
Thank you for letting us hear such personal and heart wrenching testimonies. My heart goes out to these families.

Good
Good Podcast but the series drag on to get more unnecessary episodes out of it.

Absolutely gut punched! So many of us have lived this story. Sometimes it’s hard to see the world as it relates to another wounded human when you are so I was faced with this I hesitated. So glad I listened. Thank you 🩷

Solid
No giggling hosts, pretty clean production, and tells the perspective I’ve always wanted to hear—the family who are left with their lives blown up after someone does something terrible.

Shame on the Colorado Springs law enforcement
And community. I hope the wife and kids are doing well.

Season four episode five
Love Karoline’s big Brother - he took the words right out of my mouth. I’m so happy that he no longer looks up to Joel and that he calls him Joel. He’s lost all respect and I love that he told him he can go f himself. He is such a royal piece of S. No one in that family deserved it. And he continued to lie so much! A true worthless psychopath!
Melissa080808
The best story telling!
This podcast is a great listen! It never seems like stories are cut short and I love all of the details in the stories!
LittleLindsayG
Season 4, episode 1
Not only does the husband have no boundaries, but neither does this woman, who immediately involves her minor children in their father’s banal suburban marital transgressions at every opportunity. So utterly inappropriate. But this podcast is more interested in the binary of good vs evil to actually be interesting. Or investigative. Or ask questions. These first episodes just feel cheap.
Fridafirst99
Favorite show
Stories well told and well produced. I wish they actually released episodes “weekly”

Well Done without Sensationalism
I only listened to season 3 but was really impressed with how the podcast was produced. The people involved in the story really got to tell their story without the sensationalism or dramatic responses, questions, statements, that you sometimes hear or see in the dateline or 48 hours type podcasts. This was a tough podcast to listen to, but in addition to being interesting it was educational and informative. It was also incredibly brave for the survivors in the story to come forward. I did not feel like the people in the podcast were being manipulated for dramatic purposes to increase viewership. There appeared to be a genuine concern by those involved in the making of this podcast for the welfare of those participating. I also loved that there resources provided for Tyler with 1in6, an organization to help male victims of sexual abuse. That kind of follow up and advocacy was amazing and a benefit to those listening who might truly find this helpful.
