Great
Good reporting of true crime and no cussing.

Bye bye 48 Hours
Peter Van Sant shows such stunning ignorance around domestic violence and trauma in The After Show: What the Neighbors Saw that I don’t think I can stand to hear his voice ever again. Try educating yourself or developing the empathy to imagine a human experience other than your own.

Don’t mind the show but…
Erin Moriarty sounds like the vist cigarette smoking bagel shop lady in New Jersey who used to pour my coffee every morning.
And Troy Roberts needs to stop with the put on breathy voice. Can’t anyone just be normal?

Exceptional
This is my favorite podcast! You all deliver the story in a compassionate and delicate way that I hope feels as respectful to the families as it seems to the listener. Your delivery is exceptional.

Journalism or Victim Shaming?
In the Abducted episode, whomever interviewed the child and his mother, and the sexually abused daughter needs to apologize to each of them. How dare you doubt and question and trigger children. And how dare you question a survivor.
This needs to end. There are better ways to corroborate. A formal apology must be made. You were not questioning a murderer. These are kids and this is why they don’t come forward.
Do and be better. DNF the episode.

No More CBS
As much as it pains me to cut ties with 48 Hours, it’s clear that the parent company has no interest in the pursuit of truth.

48 hours
This is one of my favorite podcasts, but it repeats the same episode over and over with different titles and dates. It’s honestly kind of annoying. I want to listen to all the episodes, not the same one 3 different times.

Erin Moriarty, Host
With all due respect, Erin Moriarty needs to retire altogether or move on to another career. She has the most hoarse, scratchy (reminds me of nails on a chalkboard) voice of any journalist or host of a long running podcast and television show that I have ever had the misfortune of listening to. Not anymore. I am done listening. It is nearly impossible to listen to enunciation, voice inflection, and overall narrative tone when the sound of her voice is so abhorrent. How has she possibly kept her job this long? And to think that she also hosts an additional crime show as a solo host. Please use other hosts to narrate subject matter that is this sensitive and sometimes perplexing.

48 is my favorite true crime podcast. They always do a good job covering the crime, the criminal and the courthouse.

ADS
Why am I still hearing ads when I pay for the premium ad free edition?
Navyswthrt
Why use one narrator?
I subscribe annually but if Anne Marie Greene is going to narrate all episodes I will not renew. Not as enjoyable to not have original.

Ironic
Very detailed and well done. I found it really rich that the daughter of Claudia Northam was appalled that Prop 57, which she voted for, would be used in this case for her mother’s murderer. So she was fine applying it to the victimizers in other people’s murders, just not her own. Typical progressive moron.

Subscriber Feed is a Mess
Great program, excellent reporting, thoughtful analysis, and solid technical quality.
Issue is subscriber feed and difficulty in sorting the content, specifically the special programs from the regular and extra episodes. It’s all jumbled together. Please sort your content and label it the way Dateline and other similar programs do. I end up skipping some of the content because it is a pain to sort and find easily.

Ignore the haters. It’s one of the reasons I listen to 48 Hours. We’ll written and narrated. Keep it up!

Subscribed
I subscribed so I could get ad free content so therefore it upsets me when I still hear ads. I’m gonna unsubscribe👎

Reporter Erin
Love the show and content, however Erin the reporter has the most obnoxious voice. She’s clearly struggling with vocal cord issues or breathing issues and it makes listening less than enjoyable

Me too
An amazing story. The resin I stay was the day after. He would hit me pull my hair lock me in the closet but the next day he treated me like he loved me. Sick looking back.

Great!
Good story telling! I find the post mortem episodes feel a bit like beating a dead horse… but the other episodes are very good.

48 Hours
Long time listener. Love the show but what the heck is up with this tedious “Spiral: Murder In Detroit”??? YAWN! First, the quality is no where near as good as the regular 48 Hours episodes. Second, the host is obviously not a professional - her voice is really annoying. Anne-Marie Green’s voice performance is just so much more compelling. This special, or whatever it is, is just not as interesting nor on the same level of story telling as the regular episodes.

Beware the “Free” Press
The takeover of CBS has started and they are now compromised. I’m sorry for all of the real journalists and hope they find another outlet to pursue real journalism. For now, time to boycott.

The downfall of an institution
I feel genuinely bad for all of the great journalists that made 48 hours and CBS a trusted news source for generations just to see it be perverted and destroyed by the likes of Bari Weiss on behalf of the Ellisons and their pursuit of total right wing media domination

I LOVE IT!!!!!!🥰
This is so amazing!🤩 I love it, and it is the best T.V show ever! And I love the podcast!
So, 5 stars if I could I would give 20 stars.

Do Better 48 Hours
The Amanda Knox episode was the final straw. Five minutes in and it’s clear what they want you to think about this case. A case that has been proven to be full of police corruption and media bias. Yeah, we know her story changed. It’s because they deprived her of sleep, and every other basic human right. They physically assaulted her. They wrote the confession. They didn’t provide a translator. They convinced her to sign the document, promising it would all be over if she did. It’s medieval what they did to this woman. It’s 2025. We have DNA evidence and a legit confession. If you want to stay relevant, then release episodes with relevant information.

Repeats
This show constantly has reruns. Indy podcasts don’t get to do that and you guys have a whole teams and money. I don’t get it. It’s disappointing especially for the price I pay!

Stop Spoiling
I can’t understand why you spend the first two minutes telling the entire case and blowing all the spoilers. By the time the actual episode starts, there is no mystery!
Angry Paid Subscriber
Troy Roberts sounds ridiculous.
He sounds like Snagglepuss. Why do broadcast companies think phony narrators like this are a good choice?
Matt_B_W
Chronic!!!
You all sounded so white and so old.

Why pay?
Why am I paying for a subscription when the full series isn’t made available to me. I love this podcast but unfortunately I’m dropping my subscription because I’ve no idea what I’m paying for. I can’t binge new series, have already heard old series on the free edition and there are rarely new shows. Plenty of reruns but rarely new material. Sorry guys. You used to be one of my favorites until I paid to subscribe. Rates aren’t cheap and I get nothing in return. Goodbye.

I surely hope you uploaded a very old episode today because you’re trying to put together a piece about the senseless murder that happened yesterday 9/10/25 , if not, I’ll be unfollowing

Getting Ads with Paid Subscription
I am still getting ads with paid subscription and I’ve done all the things that are online and the podcast. I’m listening to says it is a subscription story. When I listen to dateline and I have paid for a subscription, I never get an ad.

Rehashed
Do you all do any work? This is rehashed regurgitated, new facade same old story.

Murder, Fire and Doubt
If you watch True Crime Docs we have all heard many times, if you are innocent you’d be protesting, screaming, proclaiming, not just take the accusations calmly. When the cop with the opioid addicted wife, does just that during interrogation, they use it against him. So if you are a suspect, how they think you should behave vs how you actually behave will always be the opposite regardless. You just can’t win. Didn’t cry, cried too much. Was too calm, was too excitable. Let’s worry more about actual proof than police officers assumptions. It’s 2025 and humans are infallible.

Renita in FL/Kohberger
Renita in Florida!: Because the prosecutor absolutely should have tried to get this defendant to talk. Now the families will never know and never be able to have REAL closure. I’ve seen many cases where there were stipulations regarding the plea deals offered by prosecutors wherein defendants had to walk LE through the crime, or give up their motives. It’s nothing new. I guess Idaho just has terrible laws, or this prosecutor wasn’t up to the task and knew it. I wonder how much work he had done as an attorney in an actual courtroom?
The AG said they had proof beyond reasonable doubt, yet didn’t think to try to meet with him and hold the plea over his head. You never know if he would have talked because NO ONE ASKED. A more aggressive attorney would have done better for the families. This guy didn’t even ask the families if they’d be ok with the plea until they had already agreed to it. If it were my kid that was a victim, I’d have been livid that they didn’t even try to hold a plea over his head at a meeting! Lots of people in the YT true crime community also think this AG dropped the ball here.
