Do you realize that the majority of the second half of the show was just in Spanish. It’s fine if it’s on TV and you have subtitles BUT it is not fine when it’s a podcast and no one interprets the language into English. Not fun to listen to a podcast in Spanish

Do the producers listen to the podcasts? The music was so load I couldn’t hear some of the script. I couldn’t finish listening to this episode

Dial M for missing/Peter Chadwick is the specific episode I’m reviewing. I realize you converted a TV episode, where you can use subtitles, to a podcast episode where you can’t. There was a lot of Spanish spoken and none of it was translated. Disappointing. I missed a lot of this fascinating story.

Interesting case. Unfortunately about a third of this podcast is in untranslated Spanish. I assume the Dosnish had subtitles in the film version but this is a podcast. Some accommodation should have been made. Very disappointing

Total 5 Star! An absolutely heartbreaking story and how eerily similar to the Nancy Guthrie disappearance. I have to wonder if officials have used the geo-fencing in the Guthrie case!!!! This story was very well done.

I heard from other podcasts that he committed suicide in jail. The DNA was under the fingernails of the killer she helped solve her own murder The confessions were coerced by the police. Other wise good interview with the prosecutor

I tried listening to a few different podcasts on this site. It’s a total pain to locate the next episode when they aren’t grouped together. I listen to audiobooks and podcasts almost every day. I’m not new at this! Navigating your site isn’t worth the challenge.

This series is terrible. The show is essentially accusing someone of murder that happened years ago and it seems like there is zero evidence to support this. What kind of nonsense is this?! Less likely to listen to this garbage podcast. Do better.

I’ve noticed that there have been a lot of repeats over the past year. The new Murder at the U sports series is so cheesy, it’s terrible! Reporting and execution of this series is so amateur, same goes for the post mortem shows.

I can accept when a "citizen journalist" makes themselves part of a story. However, the same does not apply to "journalists" working for legacy media outlets; it simply comes across as tacky.

Audio issues. Music is too loud and often overwhelms speech. I wish they’d stop featuring Beth Karas on episodes. That woman sounds just like Kermit the Frog.

Oh, not even sure if I could put my feelings into words. Listening to these resilient, brave, strong, wise, intelligent, amazing people makes you put life into perspective and realize that even in our hardest of times, some challenges come nothing close to theirs and look at them shining brighter than the sun and being inspiring examples to all of us to have more gratitude and forgiveness

Imagine being so awful you murder over pot at age 20. We don’t need ppl like that on the streets. I hope Mass, soft on crime blue state, doesn’t let him out. People in average or lower income areas are the ones in danger. The rich ppl voting for this don’t care. They have gates and security. He will move into an apt building and he stabbed a girl over a little pot. Good luck if he ends up your neighbor.

The new episodes are fine, but the True Crime Vault episodes are at a significantly lower volume than the ads. It’s jarring when it cuts to an add and blasts into my ears.

Just because she’s dead, doesn’t mean we have to talk about her like she is a great singer. We all heard it. She’s really not good. And her father telling the killer he loved him in court. This is what’s wrong with our country the soft parents that haven’t taught their children to defend themselves shame on you, Dad.

Can you regulate volume of adds? Waaay to loud compared to podcast.. hard for ears with buds

Agree the background music makes the voice audio (which is often not greatest)harder to hear

I am going to have to agree with others that the music is overriding the actual audio of the podcast. I can barely hear the narration unless my headphones are up past the point of my comfort level. Disappointing because I end up shutting it off & turning to another podcast.

Why does a professional journalist use a ridiculous, fake way of speaking?

I really want to hear the story about what happened to Kelsi but whoever added the music and cut the podcast should reconsider how they do things imo. I just can't listen to the story anymore unfortunately. They constantly repeat the same info over and over and mix in new info then repeat the same info again at times. This is a short podcast so I promise you we haven't forgotten what was said 3 minutes ago and do not need to hear it again. But music is what really what makes it so frustrating to listen to. The music is louder than the vocals making it so annoying. Please rerelease this story without the music or turn the music WAY WAY down (just remove it completely please). People should be able to listen to this story to spread the word so please please please rerelease this without the music! I will also add that the volume of the ads in some episodes are ridiculously loud compared to the volume of the podcast itself. I will try back at a later date to see if 20/20 has made corrections and if so I will gladly continue listening. However, if the music is as loud and rediculous as it is in the Kelli episodes or if the ad volume is still much louder than the podcast I will move on to another show. There are so many good podcasts out there that losing one to volume issues is fine imo

It’s so distracting to have to adjust the volume up and down due to how loud the ads are. This must be a known issue.

I’ve listen to over 700 true crime podcasts. Please consider how the music drowns out the story.

PLEASE adjust the ad volume. I’ll be just about to fall asleep then the loudest advertisement comes screaming in my ear. Almost unlistenable.

I thought 20/20 had fixed the very loud commercials issue. I am unsubscribing again since I need to protect my hearing from this relentless noise.

Such terrible editing - over produced and distracting. Constant background music that doesn’t even match the story is so ridiculous and makes it unlistenable.

The show itself is pretty quiet so you have to turn it up but then are subjected to ads so loud you have to pull your ear buds out due to physical ear pain. This should be illegal having the ads so loud.

The ads are enough to make me never want to listen again. Jarringly loud compared to the podcast.

Creepy narrator voice like he’s trying to sound like the guy on dateline

Cannot STAND all the background noise/music. It overpowers the narrative making it so incredibly difficult to listen and follow the storyline. True crime is my favorite genre and it’s unfortunate that I cannot enjoy 20/20!

The show is in english, why do i have to be subjected to commercials in Spanish? I am in America and listening to a show in English. Love the show, but leave the Spanish commercials for the Spanish channels.

The music on this podcast on a lot of episodes it just so insanely loud. Sounds sound like someone sticking an ice pick in my ears. I don’t understand why you’re doing that when your stories are really good.

I've loved this podcast but now scroll past the content with music and random sounds layered in the background. This is agitating/ distracting and I see a lot of others complaining about it as well. Tell the story without a soundtrack please

Can we please stop with all the background noise, music and sound clips, it’s louder than the story. It is distracting and you can’t hear the people telling the story, please!!!

The stories are good but the music and background tracks and noises added makes them almost unlistenable.

It feels like the show’s reporters are coasting on comfortable contracts rather than producing meaningful journalism. New content is rare, and when episodes do air, they tend to be light, unfocused conversations about reruns rather than substantive reporting. This doesn’t come across as a team committed to quality work—it reads more like a group doing the bare minimum to claim they’re fulfilling their roles.

The narration is so unbelievably slow that I cannot stand to listen. I was going to speed it up but all the other voices were too fast.

The shows are well done, the stories interesting, everything is great. But please stop adding these annoying and pointless background noises, that literally just give me a headache or distract from the show. I’m sure if it’s just the audio from the tv episode I get where the dramatic tones and stuff may help but on a podcast it’s totally unnecessary. I turn off the podcast most of the time because of those noises and sounds, can they be edited out of the podcast ?

Calling the new episode “ The Final Cut” given what happened to this poor girl is pretty disgusting. Are used to listen to the show to hear how the law went about prosecuting but I cannot handle how tasteless and respectful they are when dealing with the stories of these victims.

The use of music is an absolute abomination. Does ABC have an agreement with someone to use the worst music available in the public domain?

I used to love watching 2020 every week there would be a new show now what they’re doing is , they’re just revamping old shows and they just put it in a new spin because they’re lazy. I’ve been watching YouTube videos because 2020 has just dropped the ball on true crime!!!
