I have loved this podcast. As a former publicist during the late 80s/early 90s this is gold. One of the most fun episodes so far is with Anna Sui. It was a big day at 26th Street if you had a Paul and Anna sighting. Was special to hear of this evolution of chosen family. As a motherless daughter and someone who works in the grief space now-the ear piercing story brought a tear. Thanks for this special look at the industry. 🤍

Paul’s talent is not to be understated, Cayli’s moxie and acumen rival her dad’s achievements I the fashion cannon. This show grants access to the premier image makers of the modern fashion /luxury media landscape… but instead of feeling like an outsider, Paul and Cayli bring the listener in, and it feels like one is sitting having coffee with the likes of Cindy, Christy et al. When is the Meisel episode - cannot wait.

I ran into Norman Jean Roy at our local coffee shop this morning and was talking about these great stories that Sophie Elgort made with her father, Arthur, during Covid. I ran into her about a year ago at a Staley-Wise Gallery opening featuring Arthur’s photos (he was sort of my industry grandfather as I assisted two of his former assistants , Philip Newton and Pamela Hanson, back in the 90s heyday of fashion photography) and the opening was a who’s who of 90s fashion photography. I begged her to keep doing the interviews where she told stories about some of Arthur’s most iconic photos. I thought the series was brilliant, and riveting, and I would have listened indefinitely. That’s when Norman told me about your podcast. This is such a great idea and there are so many people you need to interview before it’s too late! There are so many of us out here in the world who grew up in the world of 80s and 90s fashion… And already we’ve lost so many of those great photographers, Makeup Artist, stylists, and models. I hope you get to speak to many many of them before they’re gone. Those stories desperately want to be told. I’m sure it’s tempting to go after the most famous names in an effort to grow your podcast, but don’t underestimate the lesser known giants of the industry. I think people would love to hear from them. ❤️ Great podcast concept. Keep it going!

I’m not typically a podcast listener, but I found this one so interesting. I remember loving the 90s fashion scene and the people on the covers. How lovely to now hear some perspective from those who were behind the scenes making so much of the art I admired. Such great stories to go along with the images I always loved.
