I was first introduced to Saeed Jones through his 2019 book “How We Fight For Our Lives” and Sam Sanders from when he hosted the “It’s Been a Minute” podcast. And finally have been introduced to Zach Stafford through this show and thank goodness for all of them. They have an undeniable chemistry and their love for each other shines through. I listen every week for thoughtful conversations on politics, culture, recommendations, and the ~vibes~. Each person brings their own takes and when they disagree, it leads to an even better conversation with greater depth. Highly recommend tuning in. 🤏 this close to subscribing to the pumpkin patch. Of forgot to mention, this is my first review soooo I love this podcast to put my thoughts out there.

The biggest problem I have with the podcast is that it spoils you on podcasts. Don’t bother trying to look for more like this fine program, as far as I can tell, they don’t exist.

Guys, this Epstein thing is not the same as musk and Trump fighting. They assaulted who knows how many children. I don’t have any faith that any “evidence “ this administration releases will be legit. But Saying that it is a distraction or that it’s not going to help the democrats, seems disrespectful to the victims.

I listen to Vibe Check and Scott Galloway’s Raging Moderates podcast, and a few weeks ago Saeed was hating on Scott, even when they agree. Actually, when Vibe Check discussed politics or masculinity both Saeed and Scott nearly totally align. Today I listened to both podcasts back-to-back and they had the same opinions and commentary on the Big, Beautiful, Bill. I’m wondering what’s deeper to the hate for Scott that either I’m not catching or if it’s just more snarky banter from Saeed. Love both shows regardless but the call out had me, and still has me, confused.

I have listened to this show from the very first episode. It seems to me that every serious thought articulated by Sam Sanders is rooted in deep, varied knowledge that is well processed. Sometimes we get a glimpse of that submerged iceberg and it makes everything we normally see above the surface much more valuable.

I have sent this episode “Everything Comes Back to Love featuring Danez Smith” to several loved ones. Phew! It is an incredible listen! Working between hope and despair, sometimes all I can focus on is despair. This episode helps me better understand my confusion around being an optimistic person yet feeling so bogged down with despair. So many quotes I wrote down to read again later which lead me to order Danez’s latest book of poems... Thank you!!

This podcast is single-handedly keeping me sane + my head above water in 2025. The universe knew what she was doing when I somehow stumbled on this gem on Jan 2nd.. Much like an amazing yoga class— I get a little grounding,a little giggle here and there, ( maybe a tear,.. those poems..) be in community and leave feeling stronger! but yk a little less Enya, a little more Beyoncé vibes So thank you, sending yall a virtual air hug Xx ʚ♡⃛ɞ Such a fan that I’m here, writing my first podcast review🍒

The only takes in culture and politics I can listen to rn. They are serious and funny and irreverent and deep all at the same time. I’ve loved Sam Sanders for a long time and so haiku he’s “introduced me” to Zach and Saeed too.

This is my favorite podcast because it is a bastion of intellectual honesty in a world where that is increasingly difficult to find. I always listen the day the episode drops. The hosts complement each other well and are ‘spit out your drink’ funny. It is my favorite parasocial relationship!

I’ve been a fan since episode one. I love listening to these three discuss culture and politics because they bring nuance and empathy to every conversation. They have demonstrated real courage in covering tough topics and I’ve been moved by their unapologetic vulnerability. I always leave an episode with something to think about. Vibe Check is my ride-or-die podcast till the end ❤️

I have been a big fan of Sam Sanders since he was on the “NPR Politics” podcast. (I think he was in the original lineup when they revamped that show?) I followed Sam in his other shows and have enjoyed them all. But somehow, when I found this one and got to “meet” his two friends, Zack and Saeed, it was even better! I love how they love each other and encourage each other, all the while letting us in on their friendship. I have learned a lot from y’all - so keep up the good work!

Like hanging with 3 hilarious, smart, curious, genuine, caring friends. I love getting their weekly take on the world, and maybe laugh, maybe cry and always leave with new perspectives.

It’s like they make me feel cool and smart by allowing me to listen in to their discussions about pop culture, politics, history, etc. I have a crush on Saeed Jones, I look forward to his poetry readings every week! Ive been listening to Sam Sanders since “It’s been a minute” and was bummed when they cancelled it with no warning. Anyhow, highly recommended!!

I love the show AND in the moment in time we are in, we have to practice more discretion. Advertising for Walmart, McDonald’s, and Amazon when they are the main contributors to the current administration and the very things you speak against on the show is contradictory and dangerous. These brands are now throwing their money at Black shows like this so they don’t go the way of Target and you’re elevating it? In one the recent episodes about boycotting Target y’all did everything you could not to mention Walmart. Come on now. We all have bills, but we have to take a stand and move with responsibility.

I started listening to this show solely because of Sam Sanders BUT love this other cohost - Zach and Saeed. They have such a great “vibe”. I love their perspectives from politics to pop culture to social issues. And I appreciate their recs at the end of the show. Thank you!

This podcast is the perfect para-social relationship. They will remind you of your favorite young teachers or professors and feel like your favorite elder millennial mentors. You won’t like or agree with everything they say (because they’re unafraid to disagree and be unlikeable with each other) but when you listen, you’ll also feel heard. You’ll feel it when they’re going through something, even if they don’t say it then, and you’ll want to be there for them. You’ll feel connected because you know when you’re going through something, you’ll have their recordings there, they’ll have another episode on Wednesday, and when they say “Hey, Ladies,” it will feel like they’re there for you. My dad always told me that the best teachers teach you how to learn. They’re teaching you how to be in relationships, romantic and Platonic. It’s why I’ve listened since they released and never wanted to miss a week.

Every week, Saeed, Sam, and Zach have exactly the conversations I didn’t consciously realize I needed until I hear them. They are hilarious, they are real, they are brilliant. Thank you Vibe Check for consistently being one of the highlights of my week 💝.

I love this podcast, it truly feels like a light in the storm and helps me to process the deluge of horrific news in a way that is focused, comforting, and forward-thinking. That said, I wish there was more discretion when it comes to the ads. Having the podcast be interrupted with ads for big corporations that have rolled back their DEI initiatives (like Walmart and McDonalds) feels really thoughtless.

I've been listening to the show for months now, and I absolutely adore the kinship and nuanced commentary from these three beautiful, extremely intelligent people. Saeed's reference to The Penguin this week reminded me to leave them a 5 star review.

When I say vibe check is my new favorite podcast I’m not kidding! They are so funny so intelligent so riveting to listen to every week they’ve got me as a fan for life. Also Saeed was on it this last episode about the K Dot halftime show, I loved it!

Love this show so, so much. I rely on it to help me get my head straight in the current dystopia we’re living through. One small thing: the ads in the podcast (for me, anyway) are 100% for predatory gambling apps, I’m not sure y’all are aware. It seems off-brand at the very least…just letting you know. Love you all.
