Not a fan
I used to like the podcast but have recently found it to be extremely dismissive of peoples' problems. I feel like every episode they somehow spin it to make the listener / person writing in out to be crazy or the problem. How do they expect people to want their advice when they completely spin it? Even the concept of rating other peoples triggers is inherently dismissive. It seems like Jordanna in particular always makes the listener out to be crazy or the problem. Tried to give it another listen today and they give the worst advice ever! And then dismissed everyone's triggers saying they were overreacting LOL what is the point of this podcast? For them to feel better than everyone? Not sure who this is helping.

Crazy Takes
Used to love this podcast, but their take on new motherhood is quite literally insane. To think a mother in law feeding a baby a powdered sugar covered banana at a restaurant before the parents started solids with baby is wild. Jordana particularly is so cruel on this topic. Done listening.

Keep it up!
I have listened to this show from the very beginning and although I don’t always agree with everything, I don’t think that’s a reason to stop listening. Being 10 years apart Naomi and Jordana both give such a great perspective at the different stages of life. I love Jordana’s humor who isn’t scared to say what we’re all thinking coupled with Naomi’s kind and calming presence.
Also, in case Jordana reads this, since she reads all the reviews 🙂, I just got Lyme disease from a tick in the Midwest, so your fear is 100% legit. Springtime nymphs are the true enemies.

Baby bunny story 👎
I needed a trigger warning before Jordana’s story about her dog eating a baby bunny. It literally made me nauseous 😕

I love everything about the show but lately your microphones are picking up your heavy breathing while you aren’t talking and it’s a little annoying. :)

Completely misinformed
That’s how I now see Dr (how is that possible) Naomi and Jordana after they both completely misunderstood the point on the GLP1 episode that no matter how much millions of people lean into “doing the hard thing” and “make healthy choices” genetically and because of medical conditions, we can’t all lose weight. Look outside your skinny privilege & the idea that people just eat badly and that’s why they’re fat. Absolutely absurd and ignorant take. “Don’t always eat exactly what you want whenever you want it” is the most condescending thing I’ve ever heard. Never giving this brand my time or money ever again.

Was a loyal listener from the beginning - but between sloppy editing, too many ads, and strangely privileged takes, it’s time move on.

Unsubbed 👋
The show caters to a very specific audience that I finally decided I just don’t belong to. I’ve listened since its inception, and formerly subscribed to all betches pods. I’m an early 30s white woman (their demographic). But they cater to straight, capitalist Type A, New York, 6 figure, white collar, trust fund, femmes.
I’m a little too gay, too blue collar, too socialist, too environmental, too southern, too poor, too tomboy, to pretend this isn’t insufferable to listen to their yaya privileged advice.
It WAS very funny to hear Jordana try to mask her distain for dog ownership. (Maybe lean in to being a bad person antihero?). Being a ‘bad person’ is more relatable.
I’ve worked for years as a dog walker, and the truth is many people who own pets should not. It’s a huge commitment and this type of person thinks it’s a box to check for moving forward in adulthood. And gives a certain status cache among friends. If you don’t want to do the work involved with dog ownership, either hire a dog walker/ trainer assistant. OR just don’t get a dog.

Favorite podcast!
This is one of the few podcasts I listen to weekly because the conversation and advice is practical, relatable, and funny.

Love the openness and vulnerability
Big love to Jordana - am here weeping with you. Thanks for sharing so honestly about infertility.

Ads have gotten out of hand
Used to love this podcast, and I guess still do at its core, but like U up? the ad frequency is simply ridiculous and make the listening experience so bad that I will not be listening anymore, despite the fact that I genuinely like the show when they’re not peddling whoever decides to sponsor them. I understand ads are what pays for the content, but come on they have to know they’ve overdone it

Love this pod!
Some of the advice episodes are getting repetitive.
I really appreciate the hosts talking openly about their lives.

Great podcast but WAY TOO MANY ADS
Update to previous review: this show has way too many ads. It’s starting to make me not want to listen with the number of times the show is interrupted for an ad. Also, please please stop with the as where someone is loudly chewing. I have misophonia and this is extremely triggering.
Previous review: Sometimes I think Dr. Naomi is too kind to the ppl who are being jerks to the emailers. Like the mom who was sending mean texts to her daughter because the daughter was on vacation with her in laws. Pretty sure reassuring a toxic immature mother in that way isn’t going to do anything, especially since the mom won’t even own her behavior. Then again, I’m not a therapist so what do I know? Just didn’t feel like realistic advice. But other than that, I enjoy listening to Jordana and Dr. Naomi cover a wide range of topics. They are both very “real” which sometimes you aren’t going to get from a therapist. And they are funny! I do wish they’d cool it on all of the parenting/baby related topics though. This isn’t a parenting podcast.

My Favorite Podcast
I came across this podcast in the new year and have been slowly working my way through all of the episodes! It’s something I look forward to everyday and feel like I have learned a lot about myself/ others in the process. I find myself referencing topics and being more mindful in general. Great work ladies!! Keep them coming!! 🩷

I love this new podcast so much! Introspective & relatable
Update: still love it! Some people are mad that the hosts have opinions, which is ridiculous because it’s literally an advice show, they provide super balances and nuances analysis of most subjects, love hearing their perspectives. I agree that when Dr Naomi talked about the Telepathy Tapes I also googled it and found it that the results were generally disputed, I just assumed Dr Naomi didn’t know the background/fallout from the study.
Loving the first episode (and I’m sure I’ll love the rest), I relate SO much to it, & both hosts’ perspectives are still interesting and helpful. I have also gone to therapy & I’m laughing at how the exact scenarios has happened to me. Jordans and her sis are also great together, can’t wait to hear more ❤️

Dangerous misrepresentation of facts from a doctor…
I really enjoy most of these episodes, but had to unfollow when Dr. Naomi spoke at length about the podcast The Telepathy Tapes. A quick Google shows that this podcast is not based in truth, and the actual tapes (that show adults holding and moving the hands of these kids as they demonstrate “telepathy”) are behind a paywall. Furthermore, Dr. Naomi uses harmful disability tropes in her description of the series, talking about autistic “savants.” As a regular listener who loves someone with autism, I am so deeply disappointed in her for not responsibly vetting this recommendation when she is a voice I’ve grown to trust.

Dog Parenting is not real parenting
Jordana’s constant relating “dog parenting” to being an actual parent is absurd

Tackling serious topics with positivity
Wow! The sisters have been tackling some pretty serious topics lately— health issues, feminism in the workplace, coping in our current political climate. Thank you for sharing tools that help me feel positive about these kinds of challenges. I particularly loved the reminder that small interactions can contribute to big change. YOU are contributing to big change!

Almost perfect to tragic
This show aims to be a fair and therapeutic take and instead ends up repeating talking points about vaccines saving lives and civic duties etc. if they would have stayed neutral I would have kept subscribing. Sadly they gave into the mob.

Didn’t love your take!
I thought it was unfair to jump to the conclusion that the person clearing snow is mentally ill and to give it a 7 without considering there may be very real reasons - such as an early morning commute, medical appointments, other snow clearing to be done - for why they shovel/snow blow then. Also, noise from garbage trucks, snow plows and other things are common at all hours in populated areas. Annoying, a little triggering, Yes. A 7, no way!!

Letdown
I started listening to this show because I love Jordana on U Up, but this podcast is a letdown. I find myself disagreeing with almost every take Jordana has and half the time it seems like she doesn’t understand what the emailer is trying to say. Dr. Naomi has the same low energy monotone voice and they don’t seem to ever disagree or challenge each other. I feel bad for the people who write in only to receive their odd perspectives. Overall a verbose and boring pod.

Loving the new friendship content this week
I enjoyed the caller having an open conversation with you about her potential friendship breakup this week. Would love to hear more about friendship breakups, navigating changing dynamics of friendships as we get older, etc.

One of my favorites
I’m a regular listener and never miss an episode. I wish you ladies would discuss coping with sadness, anxiety, loneliness , anger, and despair that much our Jewish community is feeling these days.

Like a calming talk with friends
Dropping a review here just to say that this is one of my favorite podcasts for the content, but also specifically for Dr. Naomi’s voice. I don’t know what it is, but I look forward to this podcast every week because it puts me in a “can do” mood without overstimulating me, her voice is very calming and soothing. Other podcast hosts have an insistent or demanding tone to their voices, which makes sense for their content, but it’s hard to listen to all the time especially as someone who devours podcasts 24/7 like me.

Disappointed
I’m used to love this podcast and the perspectives of Jordana and Dr. Naomi but after the last episode where they were so wildly misinformed about the dangers of the antivax movement and essentially talked down to a member of the medical community about this situation was incredibly distasteful and off putting. I was a subscriber but will have to take a break from the pod for a while.

Great pod - terrible advice
I really enjoy listening to this podcast, but these women give some of the worst advice I’ve ever heard. They somehow always manage to miss the point and are just completely out of touch. The most notable was with the tuna on a plane, but it’s been just as bad on recent episodes.

Oversharing is the only podcast I listen to regularly, and the new bonus episodes convinced me to subscribe! I love to dynamic between Jordana and Dr. Naomi and they give great, entertaining advice. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!

Yessss!
Loved this recent ep with Dr. Naomi sharing more about her life outside of mom talk. It was so refreshing to hear more about how she connects with her husband, how you can strengthen intimacy etc. would love to see more topics like this from hosts and listeners. It really added depth to the episode.

Running its course…
To me this podcast has ran its course. I used to really enjoy the show but recently it’s more triggering than helpful or a good listen. Not only do they say “like” every other word (as another reviewer pointed out) but their recent advice seems SO out of touch. The election stuff was just wild. Also, they pushed me over the edge today when an emailer wrote in asking for advice and they took the side of the emailers friend who was basically bullying the emailer. They “validate” every emailer and then proceed to tell them why their feelings are wrong. Not what I want out of a podcast

Obsessed with this show!
I look forward to this show every week and have been a listener since day 1! I love the thoughtful conversations between the sisters and how they approach people’s issues. I have gotten a little tired of the Intentions segment and wonder if it’s time for a switch up

Fun and super insightful!
I feel my perspective broadens hearing your advice to the different scenarios. It makes me feel more grounded as well, while getting to share a laugh or two with you both as I listen.

Good podcast; sound mix is not so good
Informative and engaging podcast. My partner and I find both hosts thoughtful, intuitive, and funny. But what’s up with Jordana’s sound mix? The volume level is all over place, up and down, up and down. It happens in almost all episodes and it’s really distracting.

Like, not a thumbs up like, but like
I began listening to these sisters over a year ago. I love their relationship and discussions. Feels familiar and relatable. I had to give this podcast a break. A long break because every other word was “like”. They clearly are smart but the over used word sounded intellectually not smart. It began to give me Legally Blonde vibes, which I love and is meant to be funny. I just couldn’t get past the like. It was being used between 300 - 600 times in an hour! I just hit the transcript button and typed in the word. Otherwise, if that doesn’t annoy you like it did me, you’ll love the show!

Time line of emails
I enjoy this podcast. My one complaint is emails that are read when the timeline for an answer has expired. I felt compelled to voice my concern after the most recent one
The writer is asking for advice for a Christmas deadline and the episode aired is after Christmas.
I feel if it can’t be addressed by the request date of the writer it should not be on the episode.
So annoying

Been there - airplane seat
The exact scenario you two discussed today with the separated child and parent airplane seats happened to me (except for the part about being in first class) shortly after people started flying again after Covid.
I was flying from LA to Pittsburgh on a redeye. It’s a five hour flight and I had an aisle seat. The family that wanted to switch seats with me so they could sit by their child was offering me a middle seat. The flight attendant came over and asked if I was willing to switch seats. I said I was willing to move to a different seat, but just not sit in a middle seat. The flight attendant asked the people in the window and aisle seats if they would move to a middle seat and added, I’ll give you a free premium snack and drink. A 20- something girl said yes and everyone was happy. Three people ended up sitting in seats, other than what was originally assigned to them.

Such a great podcast - always insightful, engaging and fun to listen to. Jordana is hilarious and so relatable and Dr. Naomi is so cool and her voice is weirdly soothing LOL…not to mention they are both so smart and self aware. Together they are the perfect yin and yang duo!! I listen every week.

Would love timestamps for each email
I generally enjoy this podcast, but sometimes the answers to questions can be really drawn out, which is especially frustrating when it’s a question I don’t really care about (e.g., the incessant questions about pregnancy and babies). It would be so awesome to have timestamps so I could easily fast forward through to the content I’m actually interested in! Same goes for the intentions, which frankly I find to be excruciatingly boring.

Great Vibes
I just really love these sisters. Their dynamic is great. Always enjoy listening, no matter the topic of the episode. I find Dr. Naomi’s advice to be very valuable and thank her for bringing her expertise to the pod. I’ve listened to Jordana’s other pods and to be honest I think she is best in this one. She and Naomi just click and flow. I loved it so much I decided to subscribe to get extra content + lose those ads. I’ve liked it, but didn’t really vibe with the meditation episodes (though I did use a couple in moments of frustration and liked them). I just didn’t listen to them regularly. So I’m super excited to hear they’re changing it up in 2025 and adding extra bonus episodes for subscribers. I can’t wait! Love y’all - I feel like we’re all friends lol. Thanks for all you do!

Light fun and therapeutic all at once
I look forward to Tuesdays just to listen to Oversharing and I swear it has gotten me thru dark times. I have been listening to jordana on uup for years and she is even more amazing with her sister dr Naomi here. I love when they get real about their family dynamic and Dr Naomi is always so calm and has the best advice. I listen to this on walks and even when I can’t sleep, now going deep into the archives bc I can’t believe I missed out on years of this show. Thank you for this podcast!!!

Love the show but it’s getting repetitive
I have been a long time listener, anxiously awaited the very first episode after being a long time U Up listener. Huge fan of Jordana and love Dr. Naomi! I love how they tackle lots of different interpersonal conflicts and truly look forward to listening every week. But recently I feel like it has gotten really long winded and repetitive. For example, this weeks episode they talked for 30 min before the first listener question. And I don’t feel like I’m getting much value from these parts. I also feel like the responses to the listener questions have gotten a lot longer too and just feels like they are repeating the same thing after the initial answer. I still love the show and plan to keep listening but I just skipped 10-15 min at the beginning of the show and I don’t feel like I missed anything.

Meal after baby being born
Love the pod and love y’all! But I do have to say that I disagree with your take on bringing someone a mela after having a baby. In my social group (we live in the Midwest) it’s very standard to bring someone a meal in the weeks/months after having a new baby. The meal trains that have been set up for me have been so helpful after having my babies. I will say the only odd thing is that the person in the scenarios set it up for herself. Typically a friend sets up a meal train for someone else. Otherwise this is very standard IMO. In my social group/in the Midwest it would actually be kinda rude not to bring someone a meal after having a new baby. It does not have to be an elaborate meal, something simple is fine!

a few misses in a row
hey jordana and dr. naomi- i’ve been a listener since the beginning and have enjoyed the pod. I wanted to write in about the election episode, the “12,000 isn’t a lot of money” episode and even the turkey/entree dilemma but the thing that finally got me is the suki waterhouse tickets. I think the hosts really undervalued the “invisible work” of being the planner of the friend group. The leader of the group found an activity for everyone, spotted tickets and bought them while the costs were low, and wrangled the group chat. Then, when she didn’t want to go the rest of the group of friends had the option to go still but they chose not to! And, since they weren’t that interested, they got the option of hanging out doing something they prefer together instead of the concert— at no cost to themselves. The leader friend sold the tickets for them (no one else was asked to try or lift a finger) and i disagree that it is “so easy” to do all these things. I would feel different if it was just 2 friends and the leader friend dropping out meant the remaining friend felt awkward going to a concert alone, but this leader friend found and organized a group outing for everyone and did the labor to organize the group, buy tickets, venmo and then resell! That is actual work! It’s not her job to pay people who did nothing and got to have their preferred night instead. I wonder if there’s a third host who would have a different background/worldview and could open up new avenues of consideration with this podcast (a la jordanas therapist), maybe it’s time for a fresh perspective? -signed a host who always provides the turkey entree
