Just an FYI for MP and Keisha… Michael’s mother is Dominican. Michael’s father in from Guyana. Most of the population in Guyana is Indian. Which is why his father looks Indian and not Afro-Caribbean. After the abolition of slavery, entured laborers were brought to Guyana from India to work on sugar plantations. Same thing for Trinidad and Tobago and a few other Caribbean islands. That’s why those islands have Indian culture. The people, names, food, tradition and Hindu religion is primarily Indian.

Here for Match Me Abroad! $10 feels steep considering I don’t watch Life After Lockup or Plathville.

Especially MaryPayne’s voice. Reminds me of my southern Aunties, sharp and hilarious.

I know ads are how she makes her money. But good Lord in Heaven it’s the same ads 3-4 times each pod and they are looong. I now hate linen and Quince. I hardly notice them in other pods, what is happening here???

As someone with misophonia it can be difficult finding a podcast that doesn’t trigger it. I couldn’t get through a full 20 seconds of this show. The mouth popping/noises are very present. I would absolutely love to listen to this show as it’s highly recommended. I want to make you aware of this knowing I’m not the only one who has this issue and if you can, try to mitigate the noises. I will continue to check back to see if I can listen.

This is a consistently solid podcast. Mary Payne Gilbert takes us through annals of trash TV with a focus on TLC (90 Day franchise) and WE TV (Love After Lockup) She also ventures into the Bravo universe and reviews documentaries of note. MP features interviews with related celebs and cast members and they are always well informed and fair…..she doesn’t focus on “gotcha” interviews. We learn by listening. She has a tremendous sense of humor and has a plethora of related reality TV podcasters to join her in show recaps and reviews. This is a podcast I look forward to listening to and it often makes me LAUGH. Can’t recommend it enough. From a proud Pink Shade bunkie!

This is a great podcast about bread and lashes

I don’t listen to any others.

I like the topics they talk about but I do not want to listen to a commercial about hero bread every 10 minutes. I will never buy the bread due to the torture inflicted of having to listen to this commercial 5 times within one hour. It also makes me want to unsubscribe.

I tried listening to the podcast for a month before giving a review. The host and all her co-hosts are so out of touch and superficial. They think they are being funny and groundbreaking, but it just comes across as cringy and unlistenable. And I agree with other reviews: there are too many commercials!

Unsubscribing - there’s lots of other reality pods that don’t have a commercial every 5 mins, I understand you need them to make money- but wow - too much !!

Love the Podcast, despise all the commercials. Up to 10 loooong commercials per episode. I would upgrade to no commercials if it was $5.00 per month, not $10 (oh, excuse me, $9.99).

Pink Shade is one of my favorite podcasts and the only one my husband will listen to with me for reality recaps. We love love love listening to you, Keisha and Kimberly. Because of this podcast I also found my other favorite, A Date with Dateline. Y’all are the best!!! Keep doing what you’re doing.

I literally watch none of these shows, but love listening to MP and her cohosts recap! Have loved Kimberly for years over at DWD (and her voice is perfect!), just found Keisha but she’s gorgeous and hilarious, and always love Amy’s takes! Also, Mattie and Kimberly together was maybe my favorite thing ever.

Since Kimberly was bummed about the negative review about her, I needed to come here and say that not only is she my favorite cohost, but I discovered date with dateline listening to this pod and started watching dateline just to listen to her and am now a Patreon member. It is my comfort podcast and like Mary Payne I also listen to it to help me sleep. You’re a gem Kimberly don’t listen to the haters 🌈

I’m leaving a 5 star review because what I’m reviewing has nothing to do with y’all. One of the two ladies that joined Mary Payne and Keisha on this week’s LALU recap was throwing y’all off. Can’t remember her name, she was the one that didn’t think Chicken in a Biskit was a thing anymore lol. I felt like she was dismissing Keisha a lot and took over the whole podcast. I think 4 is just too many voices, especially when one is talking over everyone. It bothered me most because she was loud and wrong lol. Love y’all!

Love this podcast - Mary Payne has a very fun rotation of cohosts - my very favorite is her collab with Keisha on the LALU recaps, with her collabs with Kimberly on 90 day a close second!

I enjoy MP and her gift of gab and most of her guests. There’s way too much Keisha, whose takes on things are often dated and problematic (one example is saying she sides with Jesse over Michelle on the Valley…ooof. How can you miss how textbook abusive he is?). LALU is a great level of show for Keisha to recap so I’m sad that she’s doing The Valley because I’d love to listen to MP talk about it with someone who has interesting insight and understands the long history of everyone.
