In 2019, Fred met the newly crowned Miss America at a USA banquet. Nia Imani Franklin, who just released an EP Extended, showed a great interest in bourbon and the two have stayed in touch since. 
Nia is now a rising star in the composer circuit, having worked with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and the Festival Napa Valley, among others.
