After declaring the 2023 ODI Cricket World Cup dead some unexpected drama has kicked things back into life. A win for Afghanistan over Sri Lanka has moved them within touching distance of a semi-final place. 

Coupled with this New Zealand were destroyed by South Africa, wrecking their Net Run Rate and opening the possibility of a twist to the World Cup group stage. 

Added to this, Pakistan's win over Bangladesh means they're in the hunt for World Cup semi-final qualification too.
