Case Discussant: Dr. Greg Kirschen is a Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellow at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania with a particular interest in pharmacology and metabolism in pregnancy. Before fellowship, he completed an MD/PhD at Stony Brook University in New York with a PhD in molecular pharmacology and then completed residency training in Ob/Gyn at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. Teaching and clinical reasoning are his passions and he continues to teach and mentor students from the undergraduate to medical student and resident level.
Case Presenter: Dr. Mary Peeler is originally from Memphis, Tennessee. She completed her undergraduate degree in Health Policy and Management at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She pursued medical school and residency in Ob/Gyn at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland. She also completed a Master’s of Public Health at the Harvard TH Chan School, concentrating in Social and Behavioral Health. She is now in her first year of Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship back at UNC. Outside of medicine, Mary loves hiking, exploring new places and gardening.
