Carlos Alcaraz has won his first major title at the 2022 US Open and is now the world #1 for the first time. At 19-years old, he's the youngest #1 in ATP history and the youngest to triumph at a Slam since Rafael Nadal at Roland Garros in 2004. Alcaraz defeated Casper Ruud in a quality 4-set final. On this week's Monday Match Analysis, Gill Gross discusses Alcaraz's mental adjustment coming into the tournament, the physical preparation he endured to withstand record time on court in New York, his various net-rushing strategies and return advantages, huge 4th-set serving and key 3rd-set tiebreak. This episode is dedicated to my friend- dial 988 to reach the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.
