Davy Crockett was an American frontiersman, soldier, and politician known for his rugged frontier life and hunting skills. Born in Tennessee in 1786, he later served in Congress and opposed Andrew Jackson’s Indian Removal Act. He died fighting for Texas independence at the Battle of the Alamo in 1836.
