The New York Mets were shutout for the third time this season and were swept at the hands of the A's for their fifth straight loss. 

A pitcher's duel between Freddy Peralta and Aaron Civale came down to a Nick Kurtz home run as the difference. 

Offensively it was much of the same for the Mets, who scored just six runs over the course of the series. 

Now, the Mets start a road trip out in LA against the defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers.
