The New York Mets had the chance for the series sweep and a second straight walk-off victory, but their 10th inning comeback fell a run short in the 4-3 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Unlike yesterday, however, the Mets bullpen loss some steam. It was also a second straight day where the bats for the Mets were quiet for most of the game and just couldn't put it together late.
Still with the series win in their back pocket, the Mets travel off to St. Louis to take on the Cardinals for a three game series starting tomorrow night.
