The San Francisco Giants follow up a series-opening win with another flat finish, and the same problems continue to show up. The offense looks lifeless again, the starting pitching isn’t giving length, and the outfield production has become impossible to ignore. Rafael Devers hasn’t gotten going yet, and this lineup clearly goes as he goes — but the struggles go beyond just one player. The Giants’ outfield trio of Harrison Bader, Jung Hoo Lee, and Heliot Ramos simply isn’t producing, and real changes may be needed soon. Plus, the catching situation is getting more interesting, as Daniel Susac is already matching Patrick Bailey defensively in limited chances. We break down what’s going wrong, where the blame falls, and why the pressure to make lineup changes is growing.
