I remember with clarity my early workshop experiences. I thought they were going to be great fun out with my camera making meaningful artwork with an inspiring instructor looking over my shoulder. Instead, we talked and then talked some more about images and the creative process. Those hours of conversation, print commentaries, and just hanging about prompted a flood of thoughts about what I was doing and how I was thinking about my own creativity.
